POPSTop 14 Big Secrets of Harry Potter Characters # That's a drunken Hermione sporting a wand and little else in "Wizards Gone Wild IV." # Detention with McGonagall gets a lot more interesting when she skips the cat shtick and takes the form of Monica Bellucci.

POPSDumbledoor said to be gay AND THIS MATTERS BECAUSE? The last time I checked Dumbledoor was a fictional character in a fictional book about a fictional school for fictitious witches. It seems kind of odd to me that with all the books written in the Potter series that no one was able to discern the fact that Dumbledoor was gay until the author said so. Would seem to me to be irrelevant to the story line don't you think? Or must every book, every screen play, every song or anything written contain the token gay?

POPSHarry Potter Controversy This article reminds me of what an English professor once told her class: "A poem is not a Rorschach." The question continues to divide literature professors and casual readers alike: when a work is published, does it take on a life of its own? Does the last word regarding its true "meaning" lie in the mind of the author or reader?

POPSResponse to JKR I've seen mostly positive feedback of JKR 'outing' Dumbledore but after reading this, I have to agree that actually having some of it in the books would have been nice. More believable.

POPSDumbledore gay. At first I thought that this was merely a case of too much information, but, thinking back, I can see where it did make a difference in Dumbledore's past.

POPSAlbus Dumbledore is gay! Dumbledore is gay according to his creator J.K. Rowling. Surprise! Later on in the article it says "Not everyone likes her work, Rowling said, likely referring to Christian groups that have alleged the books promote witchcraft. Her news about Dumbledore, she said, will give them one more reason." Yah for Rowling! ;)
