POPSReview Compare Buy: The Best HD Digital TV Converter Boxes! I got myself a Channel Master CM-7000 and while it's not too pretty to look at, I sure can't complain about the way it works... In addition to the S-video output, Channel Master developed this neat feature called 'Auto Channel Update'. This allows you to perform an auto scan that ADDS stations to those already in memory - it doesn't wipe out those stations already memorized. This is a great feature for folks like myself that live in a rural area and use an antenna rotor. I wrote a review about it on my blog. I've written some reviews about other converter boxes too. http://www.tv-converter-boxes.com/converter-box-reviews/dtv-boxes.php

POPSCommodore 64 laptop... Not coming to a store near you. I'm so jealous of the people that have time to do this stuff... I can't begin to imagine how much fun it would be to build something like this. And even more fun would be the reaction you get from people when you show it off. This really brings back some memories for me. I never had a c64 myself but several of my friends did and I remember being in awe over them... I would really love to get my hands on one now!

POPS5 Digital Television Transition Myths
. . . (including many handheld TV devices). Myth #2: I need a new HDTV in order to watch a DTV broadcast. If you're a cable or satellite subscriber, you won't notice a thing when analog television broadcasting ceases. You can continue to use whatever television or other display device you're using now. For the folks who view free local TV via an antenna, the ability to receive and view digital broadcast television signals requires the use of a compatible digital tuner that's either built into the TV or a separate set-top box. Myth #3: The government's TV Converter Box Coupon Program has run out of money/coupons. The government's TV Converter Box Coupon Program Web site is still accepting new applications and will continue to distribute coupons until "the obligation ceiling is reached." Keep in mind that unredeemed coupons are recycled back into the program, so while it may take a longer time to process your request, now compared with a few months ago, . . .

POPSPlug-Ola It’s not often that a clip on theindychannel.com features a clip from another TV station…but all’s fair in love and war and video.

POPSEmergency Alert System - This is just a test I have noticed an increase in military copters in our skies above where I reside; jets (practice ?) and 2 emergency alert system tests today. Grant it we have a World Serious on the horizon and it may be a pump up in security. But I wonder what N Korea is up to.
