POPSLegless Christians Stand! It's a Miracle! I appears that a large number of Christians still advocate the use of torture. How are we to explain this seemingly contradictory stance? The answer that immediately comes to mind is that Christians have not thought this out. Does this not go counter to Christian morality? Are Christians being duped? At first glance it seems that they are.

POPSPeru court backs drunken worker Peru's Labour Minister, Jorge Villasante, criticised the ruling saying it could set a bad example for other workers while some lawyers have pointed out it goes against a Peruvian law prohibiting drunkenness in the workplace. But one of the judges in the case, Fernando Calle, said the court would not revise its decision and that the caretaker, who was sacked almost five years ago, had the right to due process.

POPSThe Seat of Bigotry Ms. Phillips evidently doesn't engage her brain before putting her mouth in motion. Her hate filled diatribe is more suited to the middle of the last century than today's reality. Unfortunately, her sentiment is rather common. If one substitutes Jew or Muslim or Black or any other non-Christian minority for atheist it immediately becomes apparent that she is a bigoted, angry person in search of a scapegoat. Given that near 85% of Americans are Christian, her blaming the 12% for all the problems society faces is ludicrous and is indicative of profound projection on her part. Her spew sounds like it was transcribed from a speech recorded in 1930s Germany, not 21st century America. Really sad.

POPSDubai: Boom and Busted One of the two was in Dubai to set up a business enterprise in the booming city. He was, obviously, unaware of the conservative Muslim influence. Suffice it to say, I have no plans to go get arrested in Dubai.

POPSJoe Biden, Change We Can Drink To! About Biden’s obnoxious and public displays of drunkenness… …If this is how he acts ON CAMERA when campaigning, imagine what might go on behind closed doors when he’s truly under pressure, like for instance, in the Oval Office during a crisis… And as Team Obama takes aim at Sarah Palin for being a national security lightweight, more and more people are finding that charge to be hypocritical. First off, Obama himself (ya know, the candidate at the TOP of the ticket) has ZERO foreign policy creds. And now it’s becoming increasingly apparent that his VP choice is a lightweight in more ways than one. Don’t you think it’s a little more important for the media to unearth whether Biden has an alcohol problem, than to worry about Sarah Palin’s 17 year old daughter and whether she is pregnant or not? http://theconservativepost.com/WordPress/?p=540

POPSWill Government Ever Learn From The Past? I doubt it. Today's Delancey's Place Tidbit, gives a brief encounter of what happened when the US Government "forced" a whole nation to go dry. What followed was a horrific scene of "forced" drunkenness, "forced" crime and "forced" misery... Today's Government "forced" War on Drugs has produced similar anguish especially for those who seek marijuana to relieve pain and suffering. Not to mention, if this so-called Governmental War on Drugs would lax some of its absurdities, the revenue collected from such sales would help the sinking economy. But it is not about a failing policy, it's all about politics and getting elected. Common sense, must take a back seat once again. Stupidity continues to rule, as time marches on! thinkingblue

POPSDonkey jailed Chiapas police have thrown animals in the slammer before, including a bull that devoured corn crops and destroyed two wooden vending stands in March. In 2006, a dog was locked up for 12 days after biting someone. His owners were fined £9.

POPSChinese Take-out Builds Mansions in Fujian They respect us for our wealth, but do they despise us as parents? Do they want their children to be like our children? Do they respect our culture of rap music, rampant drunkenness and sex, and simple ignorance?

POPSTiger in zoo mauling taunted by her victims? This enrages me - the animals should definitely be protected from punks like these. We can't afford to lose any more tigers. I think the boys got what they deserved. If their friend that was killed wasn't taunting her, then his death is these brothers' fault as well. I've only been to zoos for school and work, and I always see boys & men taunting gorillas and the big cats. There should be guards on duty at these particular exhibits and guys like these should be ejected from the zoo immediately.
