POPSWhat is the difference between 'learnt' and 'learned'? Funny. I use some of these interchangeably and some of the different forms in different contexts. Such as Burned and Burnt. When I use "was" I use the word "Burnt" but drop was and I use "Burned". E.g. "It was burnt to the ground" but "It burned to the ground". I also commonly use dreamt, almost never use dreamed. Leant I never use. I prefer leapt over leaped but spoiled over spoilt. Most assuredly I prefer knelt over kneeled but, although I prefer spilled over spilt you will still catch me using spilt in some circumstances. It appears that I am rather irregular in my use of the irregular verbs.

POPSWhere Does He Get All These Wondeful Steampunk Toys?? I admit to being rather fond (actually, enamored) with the entire Steampunk Genre. I am a fan of many of the stylings that have come from one pop culture type to another... Junk stores are doing booming business these days as people hit them up for old brass fittings, watches, horns and other things to modify and adapt. We went through a similar phase with Star Wars and other Sci-Fi things in the 70a and they returned in the last decade. Super Heroes were big merchandise money makers during the WW II years, the mid 60s, and then again the late 80s with the birth of the Batman craze following the campy antics of the 60s and the dark, Gothic feel of the movie series. Super Heroes came back in a big way with X-Men. This is what I have always heard that popular culture repeats itself every generation or so... Hold on to those Slinkys, Hula Hoops, and Slip n' Slide: we may be in for a wild ride again!

When the court would usually demand to see the belt it was , of course, invisible and that proved they were a werewolf or it WOULD BE VISIBLE! One young man actually claimed that the fur was on the inside of his skin and therefore hidden until the Change was due. This poor fool was drawn and quartered to see if they could find the skin! What do you say then? Well the Devil took back the skin so no one could see it! Inquisitions - lucrative work if you can get one started!
