POPS9: Upcoming Tim Burton Animated Film Release date 9.9.09 The group includes 1 (Christopher Plummer), a domineering war veteran; 2 (Martin Landau), an aged inventor; 5 (John C. Reilly), a stalwart mechanic; 6 (Crispin Glover), a visionary and artist; and 7 (Jennifer Connelly), a brave warrior. I like Acker’s unique art style which could be described as a darker/post apocalyptic version of what Tim Burton use to do, with a touch of LittleBigPlanet

POPS"Innerspace" the artistic landscapes of nano-scale worlds Most artists use a paintbrush or a camera, but Michael Oliveri sometimes prefers a scanning electron microscope. The University of Georgia digital media professor finds inspiration in science, from organic chemistry to space exploration. In his recent project "Innerspace," he explores the landscapes of nano-scale worlds where objects are up to 1,000 times smaller than the width of a human hair. beautiful. The samples Oliveri captures come from University of Georgia materials scientist Zhengwei Pan, who creates nanowires and other puny structures that may one day lead to miniscule electronics. Pan heats metals up to temps so hellish that they turn into vapor. Then the metals settle down to form rods, spheres and other shapes. Oliveri combines up to 40 smaller images to create his panoramas, which resemble familiar cornfields and underwater vistas.

POPSTHE FUTURE This is one of those images that grabs you the minute you set eyes on it. The child had the most compelling, intense, and interesting eye color! Again - saw this surfing google images and fell in love with it so I HAD to draw it! I love the way this one came out. I really do. The blues rock - blues and blacks are my favorite color and this draw has them both in abundance. The small boy with those electric eyes was perfect for this - he really was.

POPSTHE HARVEST I really like this. I can't take credit for the whole drawing, but it just makes me smile. Love that blue color in the b/g. I did this drawing with some talented newbies and we had a blast working on this together. I always like to draw with new people so they don't feel alone or feel stumped by the blank page. They get to see that there are some nice scribblers out there and also they get their first draw that will count towards them making reg. Gotta love on the newbies.

POPS"Do the robot", in the art of dance, of course. Last quote from him: "If you think about it, we are all made of mechanisms and neurones and codes and stuff. Human hardware and software. That's more fundamental to dance than characters and stories, isn't it?" Interesting

POPSNow this is what Second Life is for... "the ideas and visions for students here is endless. Economics majors can do research and learn the values of the Linden Dollar (L$) - Second Life's general source of currency. Psychology majors can meet new people and talk to them about their experiences and how it relates to Second Life. Art majors can go behind the scenes making their own buildings or putting their newest creations in a digital gallery. Business majors can follow the trends of the Second Life marketplace and marketing majors can learn how it all works."
