POPSMcCain's Racist Code Words McCain is clearly racist. Everytime he says something negative about Barrack Obama in his ads, what appears on screen? A picture of a black man. The prosecution rests.

POPSImpact Of Geology On The U.S. Civil War: War From The Ground Up Whisonant and Ehlen also studied the terrain at Antietam, the site of the bloodiest battle in the Civil War, where on 17 September 1862 up to 23,100 soldiers were killed, wounded, or declared missing. "What's so striking at Antietam," says Whisonant, is that "two geologic units underlie . One is a very, very pure limestone that as it erodes it literally melts. Mostly what you get with that is a very even, level, open surface -- there just aren't a lot of deep holes and high hills that give soldiers a place to hide." On one area of this flat surface, known as Miller's Cornfield, "armies just shot each other to pieces until absolute exhaustion set in."

POPSMcCain Puts His Chips on PA, WI, and MN The problem with this strategy is that it's insane. Minnesota, for example, is so far from competitive that Politico's swing state map doesn't even list it anymore. I went to Electoral-Vote.com and got these numbers -- McCain is the lower number in each case: Minnesota - 54%-43% Pennsylvania - 50%-43% Wisconsin - 49%-43% Maybe PA and WI make sense, but MN? Seriously, I don't see the reasoning.

POPSDon't Let Up on This, it is TOO Important They'll say it's a smear, a rumor, you're a bigot, a fascist. The more you dig up the FACTS, the more you realize how the world is being duped. This is the big "misleading" of the whole world. A huge delusional fog has enveloped the world far beyond our borders and lulled our collective reason into a fluffy dream of peaceful togetherness, unity, and hope - all based on fraud, deception, divisiveness, race-baiting, and a program of dismantling the culture, our society, and capitalism. INTENTIONALLY. You have to shake yourself, maybe, as I did. I started to appreciate Obama's message at one point. Then I opened my eyes. Now we need to open others' eyes.

POPSBush: "Taxpayers Will Happily Agree to Bailout Financial Fat Cats." "America needs my help," Says recently unemployed auto worker Cliff Tonwsend. "So I'm going to dig deep and help her out. It will be a sacrifice for my family and the entire next generation to pay for the excess of the last eight years year, but as an American I am proud to do it. And I know my kids and their kids will be proud to pay as well. The poor and middle class have always supported the rich in this country, so I don't see how this time is any different." The President and The Republican Party should be glad that Americans are greeting the plan with an open mind. The bailout plan is expected to create an additional 2 trillion dollars of debt for future generations to pay off.

POPSWhat A Deer Does And Doesn't See "Some soldiers hung on to the old-fashioned designs because of what Dr. O’Neill called the C.D.I. factor: Chicks Dig It. If male hunters feel that way about their old overalls, there may still be lots of shrubs and trees toting guns and bows during hunting season. These guys may or may not be right about women going for this look. But the deer probably appreciate it. " I can't wait to email this clip to {{cabanaben}} and see what he thinks about it :)

POPSMcCain Fires Up His Crystal Ball Too funny. Sounds like Team McCain knows they're in for rough sledding for a while. The piece goes on: Regardless, it's more entertaining to realize that the McCain campaign is criticizing Obama for something he might say, before he says it, accusing Obama of "distorting" the facts, before he's even spoken. In other words, the McCain campaign line is, "Obama might point out how McCain screwed up earlier, and if he does, he's being totally unfair -- because we say so." I think that remark about strong economic fundamentals is really screwing them and they don't see any way to dig out.

POPSBody exhumed in fight against flu Professor John Oxford, the Professor of Virology at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital who is leading the project, explained earlier this year that the body would provide "virus imprint, a genetic footprint". He added: "If we can get samples, that would be a wonderful opportunity for my team and for science in general.

POPSSenate Records: Pay Equity: Obama Pay Gap? And now, here’s the interesting part. Scripps-Howard columnist Deroy Murdock took a look at the Senate staff salaries of both Barack Obama and John McCain, thanks to LegiStorm, a nonpartisan watchdog service that offers the raw data to anyone who wants to dig through it. Guess what Murdock found? Obama’s 28 male staffers divided among themselves total payroll expenditures of $1,523,120. Thus, Obama’s average male employee earned $54,397. Obama’s 30 female employees split $1,354,580 among themselves, or $45,152, on average … on average, Obama’s female staffers earn just 83 cents for every dollar his male staffers make … McCain’s payment patterns are the stuff of feminist dreams. McCain’s 17 male staffers split $916,914, thus averaging $53,936. His 25 female employees divided $1,396,958 and averaged $55,878. On average, according to these data, women in McCain’s office make $1.04 for every dollar a man makes.

POPSPutin on Bush: Bush "Not in Charge" of US Affairs This is real interesting. Three things at least can be learned: 1. Putin is on to the neoconservatives, who have Bush's ear, and control him to a great degree. Putin is right: Bush is a Puppet President 2. Putin knows Cheney's influence over Bush, who is driving the Georgia-Russia and NATO-Russia neocon led conflict. Bush is stupid and easily manipulated to a large degree. 3. Putin is naive and stupid to separate Bush the man from Bush policies. He speaks against Russia now, therefore against Putin. Reason? Bush has the ability to make light and "charm" (for lack of better word) others into frivolity and laughter, but which is a decoy from his serious crimes and corrupt actions. I wrote earlier in regard to Russia, Bush treated Putin well at his ranch in Texas after 9/11 (which was an excuse for Putin to trample Chechnyans by branding them "terrorists"), but now he will stab him in the back (missile treaties around Russia for NATO).

POPSUnited Nations Public Policy!!! Dum dee dum dummmmmmm!!!!
Blamed for about one-fifth of the world’s greenhouse gases, meat production produces the ever-popular ;) methane gas from the flatulence of cattle–something these vegetarians like to say is much worse for the atmosphere than carbon dioxide. Aren’t you merely speculating at best putting forth such bold statements about meat and global warming without any real evidence that makes your point? How can a group like the United Nations stand behind such an extreme position when the foundation for it is so incredibly suspect? Dr. Pachauri spoke at an event held by an animal rights group called Compassion in World Farming which has called on the people of Great Britain to cut their meat consumption in half to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by even more than if they cut their driving in half. In fact, they are pushing for governments around the world to mandate a reduction of meat consumption by upwards of 60 percent by the year 2020. Well, yippee freakin’ skippy!
