POPSIncome vs. Gas Prices, an Update It seems that some Americans are now spending twice as much of their household income for gasoline as they were in 1999. That is a serious number. I believe that median household income is around $48,000 right now. So those Americans are spending about $5500 a year on gasoline. To me that is a scary number. This also explains why you can no longer get a parking spot at the Tri-Rail parking lot in Delray Beach. Well if you get there before 6:30 AM I suppose you can. This does not bode well for the economy. Let's see: drive, ride the bike or give up beer?

POPSMedical microchip for people may cause cancer To date, about 2,000 of the so-called radio frequency identification, or RFID, devices have been implanted in humans worldwide, according to VeriChip Corp. The company, which sees a target market of 45 million Americans for its medical monitoring chips, insists the devices are safe, as does its parent company, Applied Digital Solutions, of Delray Beach, Fla. “We stand by our implantable products which have been approved by the FDA and/or other U.S. regulatory authorities,” Scott Silverman, VeriChip Corp. chairman and chief executive officer, said in a written response to AP questions. The company was “not aware of any studies that have resulted in malignant tumors in laboratory rats, mice and certainly not dogs or cats,” but he added that millions of domestic pets have been implanted with microchips, without reports of significant problems. The FDA also stands by its approval of the technology.

POPSVerichip:The implant with access to records. The claim is that the chip only contains a registration number, with no personal details. This means no personal details are apparently available to the public The number however, can be linked to any form of record held with regard to the recipient. This from a government that has made it's contempt for the people clear. There is no GPS, but when they have as many chip readers as pinhole cameras, they won't need it. The video also details the NAZI use of punch cards to register concentration camp inmates. The system was designed by the company that continued to become IBM. A prisoner with 5 digits would be spared immediate death. Those who received 6 digits were condemned. The Germans kept meticulous records sealed in achives.
