POPSGreed+Palm Oil = Global Deforestation and Gasp... The saddest part of this is that greed is also associated with the self-delusion that they are not really harming the planet and if they are - they have enough money to save themselves. Maybe, we should just call it lunacy since buying a self-contained cabin on Luna (aka: the moon) would be the only way to buy their way out ot eh consequences of their greed and stupidity.

POPSThe First Video Footage of the World's Most Elusive Cat "Andrew Hearn and Joanna Ross, researchers from the United Kingdom’s Global Canopy Programme’s Bornean Wild Cat & Clouded Leopard Project, have been surveying five species of wild cats of Borneo for several years. Their work has uncovered some remarkable findings. Besides capturing the world’s first ever video of the rare cat, the two are also credited for snapping the first photograph of a live bay cat. Based in the Tabin Wildlife Reserve in Sabah, camera trapping and radio-tracking methods are utilized in their research. The program also provides educational materials, community surveys and training courses as well. " (from the article)

It just doesn't make sense. What about all the habitat that gets destroyed along the way?" Arrrghhh!!!! Please pass on ... retweet ... whatever. Somewhere I line must be drawn. See how woodlands can support multiple livings, and how complex they really are... www.worldwidewood.wordpress.com.

POPSSlavery Today During the four years that Benjamin Skinner researched modern-day slavery, he posed as a buyer at illegal brothels on several continents, interviewed convicted human traffickers in a Romanian prison and endured giardia, malaria, dengue and a bad motorcycle accident. But Skinner is most haunted by his experience in a brothel in Bucharest, Romania, where he was offered a young woman with Down syndrome in exchange for a used car.
