POPSNazi Jew Designed "Final Solution" Clipped some highlights but it really does need to be read in its entirety. It will give you a much clearer picture of the world we see today. Also it is worthwhile mentioning that Zionism and Sabbatean Frankism, do not represent the Jewish people, some are not even Jewish but instead come from all creeds and colours Research what it claims for yourself if you doubt it. If it should so move you to do so, post a counter clip debunking it. but as always be meticulous in your fact finding and presentation and always check what you cite. Of course though, you won't be able to.

POPSReport: ‘Death panels’ author worked with big tobacco to scuttle health reform Susie Madrak, in her blog at Crooks and Liars, cites key parts of the Rolling Stone article: W]hat has not been reported until now is that McCaughey’s writing was influenced by Phillip Morris, the world’s largest tobacco company, as part of a secret campaign to scuttle Clinton’s health care reform. (The measure would have been funded by a huge increase in tobacco taxes.) In an internal company memo from March 1994, the tobacco giant detailed its strategy to derail Hillarycare through an alliance with conservative think tanks, front groups and media outlets. Integral to the company’s strategy, the memo observed, was an effort to “work on the development of favorable pieces” with “friendly contacts in the media.” The memo, prepared by a Phillip Morris executive, mentions only one author by name:

POPSBiggest Buffoon in South Carolina Joe Wilson, the Kool-Aid-drinking Republican't who yelled "You Lie!" at the president while he was debunking right-wing myths and lies about healthcare reform, has a new fan in the last politician to be an abject disgrace to the state.

POPSCorrect, ignore the lies ‘News judgment’ is what has been sorely missing. There used to be a wider gap between media publications that are derisively referred to as ‘supermarket rags’ and legitimate media. The danger in the “he said, she said” formula of reporting is that lies get undeserved media attention. When a lie gets printed it takes on a sort of legitimacy that manipulators have learned to use to their advantage. Journalists have a hefty responsibility to the general public to not allow lies to gain legitimacy and also to their profession to maintain a high ethical standard in presenting honest, truthful news. Readers must share equally the responsibility of debunking lies. Critical, informed thinking is the only way this nation is going to move forward in debating issues that matter most to us. Reality can sometimes be ugly and distasteful, but we need to see it with clarity if we are to turn it into something positive.

POPSA preliminary debunking of the Hoover Digest claims about US healthcare You may have seen or seen reference to an article in the Hoover Digest that claims that "Despite serious challenges, such as escalating costs and care for the uninsured, the U.S. health care system compares favorably to those in other developed countries." Here's a preliminary debunking of some of its claims. The † footnote marker in the original points to the following note: † Is health care another piece of "defense of marriage?"

POPSDisinformation who knew what and when at Politijab. That said, Orly Taitz looks ridiculous but other birthers were skeptical. Finally, the precedent is troubling. Dan Rather is still unemployed, so that's good . But what if a clever birther decides to punk the True Belivers by making his own, much better forgery of an Obama birth certificate from Kenya or Vancouver, Canada? What if the forgery were so well done that no easy debunking was possible - would network news crews start clamoring for Obama's long form document so they could get to the bottom of the puzzle? That would be pretty funny, yes? Har de har. Posted by Tom Maguire

POPS The Debunking Of Obama's Statement ABC 6 reported earlier today that Barney Frank flipped the President the bird -- metaphorically, that is -- by micro-managing GM's corporate activities. ..."The UAW is very appreciative of Congressman Frank's assistance," said Bob Madore, Director of UAW Region 9A. "The workers in Norton now have some time to show how important their plant is to GM's overall operations. Representative Frank is a congressman who doesn't just talk the talk for workers - he walks with us and we walk with him". A whole 80 employees qualifies as a "fundamental corporate decision"? Well, that debunking of Obama's statement didn't take long. Usually it's a full week before his public statements are exposed as pure fiction.

POPS5 Mental Health Myths Myth #3: Studies show that most mentally ill people have average or above-average intelligence. Mental illness, like physical illness, can affect anyone regardless of intelligence, social class or income level. Myth #4: A mental illness is not a personal weakness or a character flaw. It is an actual illness, and it has nothing to do with being weak or lacking will-power. Although people with mental illness can play a huge role in their own recovery, they did not choose to become ill -- and they are not lazy because they cannot just "snap out of it." Myth #5: Contrary to popular belief, mental illness is not a single disease but a broad classification for many disorders, including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, personality disorders, eating disorders and organic brain disorders.

POPS Re: Pelosi On the Ropes “the CIA lies all the time” canard. There are a few problems, to say the least, with her tale. First, other lawmakers will say they were told precisely what was being done, so why did the CIA “lie” just to Pelosi? Second, there may be notes and other documentary evidence (Rep. Pete Hoekstra seems to think there are) debunking Pelosi’s tale. Third, we were told Pelosi agreed with Jane Harman’s letter protesting waterboarding, which would be strange had she been told there was no waterboarding. Fourth, why is the “I was lied to” defense coming up only in May 2009? Fifth, don’t we really need her and others’ testimony under oath to get to the bottom of who is deceiving whom? Let me hazard a guess on this one: the latest spin is not going to put the matter to rest. Jennifer Rubin commentary magazine

POPSEco-fuzzy math: Debunking a cap-and-trade debunking The slogan of Politifact is “Sorting out the truth in politics.” The website, a project of the St. Petersburg Times, won a Pulitzer on Monday. POPSThe Rise Of A Conspiracy Theorist In an excellent piece in the Weekly Standard, Cathy Young does the important leg work of debunking Naomi Klein, mother of the "shock doctrine" doctrine, which purports that every catastrophic event of the last three decades, economic or natural, was part of a vast right-wing conspiracy. I think the comparison of Klein to Chomsky is a bit unfair to Chomsky, since he was at least a ground-breaking linguistics professor early in his career. Nothing I've ever read by or about Klein suggests that she's much of a critical thinker.

POPSCNBC: Hold Wall Street accountable! As soon as Jim Cramer went back to work on Mad Money, he openly mocked The Daily Show by playing a video clip of his appearance on The Daily Show and substituted a clip of Martha Stewart. That shows you how seriously he took Stewart's whole argument. It's just "Business as Usual" with these people. The media barely mentioned one of the most talked about TV spots of the year. Why? Big money, that's why. And Cramer's actions only prove that point. Please sign the petition and make your voices heard Sign at link...they might even listen tho I doubt their corporate sponsors will like it.

POPSMichelle Obama serves soup, Nation misses the point
Conservatives are all over this photo. Not because the first lady is promoting volunteerism by actually doing rather than talking, but because someone in line has a cell phone. The assumptions are: 1-the homeless cannot possibly afford a cell phone, 2-this man is homeless yet owns an expensive cell phone with all the bells and whistles and is therefore cheating the ‘system’. This article answers these assumptions very well by debunking common misconceptions many of us have of the homeless and poor. Those conservatives we most often hear from (the ones yelling the loudest) have jobs (paying much more than minimum wage), a comfortable home to go to after their job, drive a well-maintained vehicle, enjoy all the trappings that money provides, and generally are out of touch with the majority of working class people. From the article: “you'd have to be a magician to stretch a minimum-wage job to cover housing, transportation, food, healthcare, childcare and other incidental expe

POPSKeith Olbermann Traces "Anatomy Of A Smear" -- Bizarre Stimulus Attack (VIDEO) The claim, not surprisingly, isn't true. The National Coordinator for Health Information Technology isn't "new"; it was created by George W. Bush five years ago. More importantly, the measure is about medical records, not limiting physicians' treatments. In fact, the language in the House bill that McCaughey ... referenced does not establish authority to "monitor treatments" or restrict what "your doctor is doing" with regard to patient care, but rather addresses establishing an electronic records system such that doctors would have complete, accurate information about their patients "to help guide medical decisions at the time and place of care." So, the opinion piece Bloomberg ran was wrong.
