POPSWhy do I snore? * Snoring is definitely no laughing matter. You may think it funny, even make jokes about it, but please, thinksnoring again. Snoring is not only an annoying inconvenience for those sleeping within earshot, it can also be an indication of more deep-seated health issues. Snoring has been linked to marriage break-ups, engagements being called off, being socially black-listed when weekends away with friends are organized … even death.

POPSTop 10 Pre-Death Monologues in Film The clip has the links to videos of the 10 monologues The greatest challenge an actor can face, is the memorable death scene. The best can provoke deep reflection on mortality, and existence on a personal level. There's one thing that I've thought was 'in character' In a Star Trek Movie Generations. Captain Kirk (William Shatner) died twice. We 'knew' he was dead twice. He only got one monologue. (It's not on the list. ) I don't know if 10 videos links in a clip is too many, but I thought 'You only live once' Sometimes Death is just a setback. A 'speed hump' in the smooth flow of eternity. Perhaps God's way of telling us we should slow down a bit.

POPSRIP Irena Sendler - Lost Nobel Peace Prize to Al Gore "Mrs. Sendler used her contacts at orphanages and convents to keep Jewish children safe until the war's end, often under Christianized names. To alert nuns to a new group of children ready for pick up, she could write, "I have clothing for the convent." The intention was to return all the children to their parents, although the death rate of the adult population made the task largely impossible. But for years Mrs. Sendler guarded the real names of the children and their parents, writing them on tissue paper and burying the lists in jars under an apple tree at an associate's home. "

POPSNew Orleans: The Art of the Corpse by Andre Codrescu New Orleans sank into the funk like a corpse into the embrace of the earth. The rows of fridges lining the streets looked by moonlight like primed canvasses ready for painting. The city’s artists, who have been enthralled since John James Audubon by New Orleans’ embrace of decay and death (Audubon purchased all his American birds dead from the French Market) were not long in reacting. New Orleans music and art had always been inspired by funk ... Now here was all this funk, magnified a thousand times. And here were all these metal tombs stretching as far as the eye could see, more numerous than the graves they resembled. ,,, In a short time, there were thousands of art works in the city, an exhibition that stretched for miles, Today, most of the show is closed. New Orleans always renewed its armies of ghosts after every disaster of its 500-year history, but this last addition came with its own unique, absolutely new style.

POPSUsual Whitewash of IDF coloured this time. When Israel first investigated the incident in March 2005 it concluded there was insufficient evidence to press criminal charges. The commander of the unit faced disciplinary proceedings but was exonerated. The usual whitewash didn't work this time.

POPSActs 18 I Love that by example Paul worked and taught. That he had a trade. Also, the intimacy in which Paul prayed and heard God's voice. He was no doubt focused though he was working his eyes and mind were fixed on the greater task which was to share Christ and bring as many people as possible to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. To me the Acts are examples of how we also need to be single minded. Maybe we are working in a bakery or waitressing or caring for a 2 year old yet to be aware of those around us. And their need for the message of Jesus. The stories encouragement. To KNOW Jesus. To live as a Christ One regardless of the consequences. There is no death for the believer. It is my only consulation. Sammy knew Jesus. He loved God and sought to live as a believer. Not only that but he lived so that others might come to know the love of Jesus Christ. For him death had no chains. I just miss him terribly. I Love You Jesus. Amen
