POPSJupiter turned Comet into "Moon" for 12 years Between 2068 and 2986, comet 111P/Helin-Roman-Crockett is expected to be captured and complete six laps around Jupiter, the astronomers say. Earth Unlikely to Gain Extra Moon It's doubtful that our own planet would have the gravitational pulling power to add a temporary satellite to the night sky, Asher said. << Too bad.I wouldn't mind an extra moon... :-)

POPSPrediction: Sex with Robots by 2050 Sex has always pushed technological development: The Web was first fueled by the porn industry, and a quick walk around Second Life reveals that it is a very randy virtual world. So why would robotics be any different?

POPSIncreased Hostility to Christians from Zionists
"Palestinian Christian leaders have sensed increased hostility toward their ministries and institutions on the part of Israeli authorities and Jewish settlers. During Holy Week 1990, militant settlers took over St. John’s Orthodox Hospice, adjacent to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, with the support and protection of Israeli police. The Israeli government initially denies its involvement until Israeli journalist reported that the Housing Ministry, directed by David Levy (now the foreign minister) had secretly channeled $1.9 million from government funds to help underwrite the venture. This fact has now been confirmed, as has the fact that an additional $2.2 million was raised, and was laundered through a Panamanian bank. Such government-sanctioned illegalities directed against the Christian community leave a bitter taste for Palestinian Christians. Meanwhile, the settlers remain in the building, whey they are reconstructing, while the case enters a second year of legal delays."

POPSIsrael's Primal Myth: A Barrier to Peace The 1948 ethnic cleansing or Nakba (Catastrophe) as the Palestinians call this tragedy, was the culmination of a plan that began in the late 19th century, way before the Holocaust. The only problem with this article is that it leaves out a very important Israeli historian Ian Pappe, the author the The Etnic Cleansing of Palestine. This s a very important book that documents the entire planning process using as source material interviews of those who carried out the plans and David Ben Guirion's diary. Golda Meir was involved as well. What the Zionists wanted was pure Jewish state, to build an economy that did not require Palestinian labor. POPSWhy Should Being Gay Be a Crime? If Michael Savage is upset with the Catholic church, he ought to be downright livid if the United Nations adopts a resolution calling for the worldwide decriminalization of homosexuality. And when he finds out the resolution was offered by a black gay Frenchman? Well he'll probably call for the bombing of the U.N. and for the U.S. to finally invade and occupy France. What will be interesting to see is where the Bush administration stands. After all, they flip-flopped on allowing gay human rights activists to have U.N. access. Post-election, where will the Bush administration come down on this? Where would their base want them to come down? Three guesses, and the first two don't count.
