POPSFannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the McCain campaign After publicly accusing Obama of being in the pocket of the mortgage industry (based largely on the claim that Raines was an Obama adviser, which has since proven to have no basis in fact), it turns out that McCain's campaign manager, Rick Davis, headed an astroturfing organization financed entirely by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. You know what they say about glass houses.

POPSFlorida town needs ACLU to show them why their principal is a BIGOT! And despite this, they still don't think he did anything wrong. Nothing? Punishing his students for something he has no right to? For displaying a very profound bigoted attitude towards some group of people, all because his outdated religious BS says he should? POPSThe putsch that imperiled America "Others have been less scrupulous for reasons that do them even less credit than ideological fanaticism. Take, for example, former Pentagon general counsel William J. Haynes II. In a sworn statement, Air Force Col. Morris Davis -- the former top prosecutor in the Office of Military Commissions -- says he resigned after being pressured by Haynes to move forward with politically "sexy" prosecutions even though Morris believed the evidence against the defendants had been obtained by torture. Davis said he also told Haynes that a few acquittals at Guantanamo, if warranted, would send a message that the commissions sitting there were fair, just as the not-guilty verdicts against some Nazi defendants had done for the Nuremberg trials. Haynes' response was emphatic, according to Morris: "We can't have acquittals! We've got to have convictions! ... If we've been holding these guys for so long, how can we explain letting them get off?""

POPSGlobal Warming caused by sunspot cycles says David Icke There are many interesting views given by this charismatic speaker but I took interest in his point that Global Warming is caused NOT by carbon emissions and industralisation and related activities. He showed a graph that related global temperature to sunspot cycles. It is something that scientists need to take into account and rebut or are they not telling us the whole truth? Would be glad to hear from some scientists or those who know this topic enough. I have a POLL at my forum at http://forum.mikeang.net or more directly to the post at http://bigbro.mikeang.net (though that is about big brother - but would be glad to have your opinion).

POPSJust Say No Well, back into the closet according to school officials, because it would be "disruptive" at the school to wear a rainbow t-shirt stating "I support gays" What is so threatening about that?? What kind of message are we sending our young people about freedom of speech? Again, IMO, it's all about forcing societies "acceptable" behavior on those who are different. Want to walk through the mall holding hands as a heterosexual couple? Great!!! Try it as a homosexual couple and you will risk getting the teeth knocked out of your mouth, especially two males. (of course two hot looking females will be welcomed by the other heterosexual males as debby well knows)

POPSStabbed by inertia People have been telling MP's for years that things are getting worse - but they ignore them. Political cowardice have made our streets empty of the old and disabled at certain hours of the day. MP's will do nothing except increase their own wages, pensions and expense claims, and the mindless minority who now vote will carry on voting for them. Voters, do something constructive. Write across your ballot papers that none of the mentioned are fit for Parliament. Make democracy work.
