POPSGood luck selling that "refridgerator" In the past fifteen years or so, I've also noticed that a lot more errors are showing up in print - newspapers and magazines. I attribute this to reporters' use of direct terminals to write stories. In less technological times, the editor and, perhaps, a number of copyreaders (copyboys in the old days - think Jimmy Olsen) had a chance to catch the obvious slips. As a last bulwark against typos, or sometimes a last source of them, were the human typetters who ran the Linotype machines. I can sympathize with the author at the source; At one point in my life I taught college composition and wallowed daily in the dregs of bad writing. In recent years, I've become more prone to typos thanks to nerve damage from an injury, and am mortified when a mistyped item escapes my notice before I click on the 'done' button. Hence, Jorjor's Law: Intelligent people make typographical errors; stoopid peepul dont no hau too spel.

POPSTHE Bigot is Dead Jesse Helms was a disgraceful representation of an elected official in our country. He despised blacks, gays, lesbians, hispanics and everyone who did not look like him or believed as he believed. While I never take pleasure in the death of another human being, it is my sincere hope that with his death, another layer of bigotry in the U.S. is buried with him. I have to think that maybe seeing Obama on the brink of the presidency may have been just too much for his aging heart to take.

POPS'Lost' Amazon tribe a publicity stunt Damn. I wish I had blogged about this. I knew it was a hoax from the start, but sheepishly admit I have no way of proving it. Something about this image reeked of being staged. Only 3 tribesmen and the pose struck by the black-painted woman seems so hollywood. So much about this seems that way. Where are the tribe's scattered effects? Cooking Fires? Children? It was so obviously a staged photo.

POPSThe "Steve Sleeve" for MacBook Air Brilliant...absolutely brilliant. I think Timbuk2 is the equivalent of Apple in their industry (bags/luggage). I've been a T2 fan for years. Always innovating, they make killer product that is both highly functional and artfully designed. Like Apple, they have a very loyal consumer base and - like this new product illustrates - they are savvy marketers. Damn, i wish i thought of this!

POPSHalloween Costumes Once again from somethingawful, some I clipped because they looked cool, but some were because of what they said. And my response to what they said- 1.Yes baby fetuses are always in style. 2. For some reason, Halloween seems to be dying in spirit. Not as many houses give candy or dress the house up. It seems like everyone just goes to stores to get candy. I think a lot more people should make the effort for Halloween. 3. Hand-made costumes are always sweet. The terminator looks real, the twin towers was original and that man pig thing was the best. It's not from a movie even though the pictures look like it.

We have a Tax % of 15-18% we have enought with our free health care program and such so please stay out of it. Internet is the only thing we can say isn't overtaxed in here and damn usa wish to remove our fun? Screw you! Pick one, learn all you can about it (library, internet, friends, people who are doing what you like). It will give you energy, direction, purpose and new friends with common interests. With new energy, purpose, friends and this simple 5 minute feel good things list you can continue to define/change your purpose as you wish with work.
