POPSCLIP THEIR WINGS! POPSFacts for Predicting Global Cooling for the Next Three Decades Global warming (i.e, the warming since 1977) is over. The minute increase of anthropogenic CO2 in the atmosphere (0.008%) was not the cause of the warming—it was a continuation of natural cycles that occurred over the past 500 years. The PDO cool mode has replaced the warm mode in the Pacific Ocean, virtually assuring us of about 30 years of global cooling, perhaps much deeper than the global cooling from about 1945 to 1977. Just how much cooler the global climate will be during this cool cycle is uncertain. Recent solar changes suggest that it could be fairly severe, perhaps more like the 1880 to 1915 cool cycle than the more moderate 1945-1977 cool cycle. A more drastic cooling, similar to that during the Dalton and Maunder minimums, could plunge the Earth into another Little Ice Age, but only time will tell if that is likely.

POPSThe Nullification of ObamaCare
So if you think marching on D.C. or calling your Representatives, or threatening to “throw the bums out” in 2010 or 2012 or 20-whatever, is going to further the cause of the Constitution and your liberty—you might as well get your shackles on now. Your last chance has come and gone. The real way to resist DC is not by begging politicians and judges in Washington to allow us to exercise our rights…it’s to exercise our rights whether they want to give us “permission” to or not. Nullification—state-level resistance to unconstitutional federal laws—is the way forward. When a state nullifies a federal law, it is proclaiming that the law in question is void and inoperative, or ’effective,’ within the boundaries of that state; or, in other words, not a law as far as that state is concerned. It’s peaceful, effective, and has a long history in the American tradition. It’s been invoked in support of free speech, in opposition to war and fugitive slave laws, and more. Read more on thi

POPSObama's Make Believe Life Knock, knock. Anyone home? Anyone there? Barack Obama exists only as the sock puppet of his handlers, of the people who have maneuvered and manufactured this pathetic individual’s life. When anyone else would quickly and easily produce a birth certificate, this man has spent over a million dollars to deny access to his. Most other documents, the paper trail we all leave in our wake, have been sequestered from review. He has lived a make-believe life whose true facts remain hidden. We laugh at the ventriloquist’s dummy, but what do you do when the dummy is President of the United States of America?

POPSHow I Set Up a Home File Server For Free - A Review of FreeNAS
Installation and setup: To set up FreeNAS as a home file server, you must make sure you have all the proper hardware first. This means you need a multiple port router, or switch to connect your file server to as well as a network cable for the server. For the actual server, you will need a PC with at least one hard drive (I started with 2) and a CD-ROM drive. The setup process was very easy. I downloaded the FreeNAS ISO file and created a Live CD which I inserted into my old PC. If I wanted to, I could started using it as a file server right there (by simply changing the IP address of the server), but I wanted something that I could use in the long term... something that could auto restart with no user intervention in the event of a power failure. This meant installing it to the hard drive. FreeNAS setup made this easy to do. I simply selected which hard drive to install to, and that was it. After a reboot, I had to set up the network interface

POPSOur Old English Long-Case Clock Rang 12 Times on New Year's Eve
Clocks give life to a room, but the tall clocks of the peculiar form that is now 300 years old have a special dignity. To the early American colonist, owning a clock was a status symbol. Most people of that time could not afford a clock of their own and had to rely on the church clock on the town common for the time of day. Privately owned clocks were only found in the finest of homes and were certain to be displayed in a prominent place for all to view. Long-case pendulum clocks were still a new invention in 1736. In 1580 the Astronomer Galileo observed a swinging lamp suspended by a long chain from a cathedral ceiling. He studied its swing and discovered that each swing was equal and had a natural rate of motion. He later found this rate of motion depended upon the length of the chain or pendulum. In 1640 he designed a clock mechanism incorporating the swing of a pendulum, but he died before building his clock design. Read more-watch video http://bit.ly/8Zms7x

POPSSET | Large MD group opts out of Medicare This may be the downside (a serious one) of all attempts to bring about health care reform because of the government's insistence on cutting future costs largely on the backs of providers. All of the talk about savings has to do with the government find a way to pay less for more care and it is not surprising that doctors and hospitals will begin to push back.
