For the uninitiated, it means the “haves”—mainly European-Americans—willingly enduring higher taxes to pay for yet more government programs supposedly helping the have-nots—overwhelmingly, of course, the people with whom Obama identifies, to whose grudges he panders, and whose obsessions he shared for 20 years of attendance at Dr. Wright’s (“God damn America”) so-called church. In Obama’s scheme of things his wife, too, can be classified as eminently patriotic, now that for the first time in her life she can be proud of America thanks to the success of his political career. The “bitter” blue-collar whites, by contrast, cannot be patriotic for as long as they cling to guns, religion, and bigotry, all of which supposedly explains their antipathy to him.

The Graeco-Roman myths have always been a favorite of mine but there were some facts here I did not even know of. The ways of becoming a werewolf, yes... but that at least TWO of the most important gods of the ancient Greeks were worshiped as Wolf-Gods was new to me.

POPSChristian Zealot Faces Firing Once again we're witness to an attempt by a Christian fundamentalist to indoctrinate school children into his cult. The interesting point was made that 1) for eleven years people have complained about his classroom behavior and 2) other science teachers have testified that they had to reteach students that took this loon's class. Now the school board is finally looking into sacking this "teacher".

POPSAnother Story of Religious Child Abuse More bone headed tales of misguided cult followers believing muttering pleas to their invisible friend will magically cure disease. Unfortunately, in this case, the recipient of the "prayer treatment" died for no reason. And because of religious brainwashing the 16 year old agreed to this non-treatment. Sad indeed.
