POPSCourt-martial warning for pregnant US soldiers It outlines some 20 barred activities. Most of them are aimed at keeping order and preventing criminal activity, such as selling a weapon or taking drugs, but apart from pregnancy includes a ban on elective surgery that would prevent their deployment. Under Gen Cucolo's order, troops also are prohibited from "sexual contact of any kind" with Iraqi nationals. And, they cannot spend the night with a member of the opposite sex, unless married or expressly permitted to do so.

POPSSeveral States Ease Restrictions on Gun Laws I say it has nothing to do with the NRA. Some Americans do not have confidence in the American system of Justice, the efforts of local law-enforcement (they're overwhelmed), or the ability to maintain personal security. It's not just rural areas; it's regular folks who are taking responsibility for their own family's protection because the criminal element has become too large for law enforcement to handle. We receive, almost weekly, reports of criminal activity in our own neighborhood. Thankfully, the local police send out the reports, but we have to be aware of them and safeguard of property and children.

POPSPirates Set Up An Exchange to Manage Their Investments
"The shares are open to all and everybody can take part, whether personally at sea or on land by providing cash, weapons or useful materials ... we've made piracy a community activity." Haradheere, 400 km (250 miles) northeast of Mogadishu, used to be a small fishing village. Now it is a bustling town where luxury 4x4 cars owned by the pirates and those who bankroll them create honking traffic jams along its pot-holed, dusty streets. Somalia's Western-backed government of President Sheikh Sharif Ahmed is pinned down battling hard-line Islamist rebels, and controls little more than a few streets of the capital. The administration has no influence in Haradheere -- where a senior local official said piracy paid for almost everything. "Let the anti-piracy navies continue their search for us. We have no worries because our motto for the job is 'do or die'." Piracy investor Sahra Ibrahim, a 22-year-old divorcee, was lined up with others waiting for her cut of a ransom pay-out

POPSLeft Won’t Let Facts Get In the Way of Global Warming Check out the sites where the Chicken Little`s still thrive. About the hacked emails, The Huffington Post says “this criminal activity has created fodder for right-wing groups to promote their own agenda that global warming is not real.” And, after admitting he was “deeply shaken” by the emails, a Guardian columnist adds that “To bury man-made climate change, a far wider conspiracy would have to be revealed.” Really? For fun: imagine if these leaked emails weren’t about global warming, but Gitmo. Or Dick Cheney. Or Sarah Palin’s private life. How fast would Time, Newsweek, and an intensely sweaty Andrew Sullivan be all over them " calling these emails corruption of the highest order? But they can’t do this here. Because the lie is the lie that the media believed in. It’s their Watergate " so it’s no wonder there’s no “Woodward and Bernstein” to bring it down. Daily Gut: Greg Gutfeld http://bit.ly/73ifYV

POPSLegal Translation & Jurisdiction The large freedoms that the Internet provides, allows criminals to take advantage of millions of users each year. Policing and prosecuting internet criminals is very expensive and difficult for many reasons. This is because criminals maybe located throughout the world and their criminal activity may only been conducted in a particular country or municipality and communications maybe routed through several countries. As a result, there are often jurisdictional problems that require the involvement of local, state, and federal offices in addition to legal translation workers and all foreign governments involved in the crime

POPSCongress Must Pass Republican Leader Boehner’s Defund ACORN Act
or any other form of agreement to this criminal organization. ACORN ally Representative Jerrold Nadler has lead the charge against the Defund ACORN Act. He has claimed that it is an unconstitutional *" Bill of Attainder " an argument that has been thoroughly rebutted by former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky. Nadler had no such reservations when he co-sponsered legislation to punish AIG employees who had been awarded bonuses. *A legislative act pronouncing a person guilty of a crime, usually treason, without trial and subjecting that person to capital punishment and attainder. Such acts are prohibited by the U.S. Constitution. Congress moving to cut off funds to ACORN for the next 50 days is a merely a first step. An organization with ACORN’s history of voter registration fraud, tax evasion, and criminal activity should never again be eligible to receive any federal funds. Stopping payment to this criminal enterprise is not enough.

POPSEvicted for Reporting Domestic Abuse To add insult to injury, this past July Cleaves-Milan received a call from a collection agency seeking nearly $3,800 they claimed she owed for the early termination of her lease. She returned home a day after telling police her boyfriend threatened to kill her to find a 10-day eviction notice taped to her door. She didn't terminate her lease early – she was given no choice in the matter. Luckily Aimco dropped this fee, but only after the Chicago Tribune inquired. This story is horrific and unfortunately not uncommon. While the Violence Against Women Act of 2005 protects domestic abuse victims who live in public or subsidized housing from eviction, the law concerning private landlords is unclear. This lack of protection for women who rent in the private market creates a disincentive for women to report abuse, trapping women, and often their children, in violent relationships with no legal recourse.

POPSIraqis Terrorised by Child Kidnaps The authorities say they cannot provide figures for exactly how many kidnappings have taken place since the beginning of the year, but some estimates suggest the number could be as high as one per day. Brig Gen Faisal Mohsin, a senior police commander in Baghdad, told the BBC he believed at least some of the ransom money was funding insurgent activity. "Iraqi forces have become more professional now, and they are on high alert," he said, "pursuing all kinds of crime, and cutting off the sources that fund terrorism. So some of the terrorists have started financing their activities by kidnapping children." The situation has become so acute in Baghdad that the ministry of education has instructed schools to take special precautions.

POPSAnd civilians are still allowed to own guns why? A so-called "responsible gun owner" gunned down a man in cold blood — 4 shots, point blank — because the man got grass on him. This is why guns and gun owners need to be strictly controlled; because anyone can have a bad day (Then again, some people are just complete sociopaths). Having easy access to something that is designed only to harm and kill is just not something that the common person should have. People buying guns should be required to have initial and regular psychological assessments, as well as screening for any violent criminal activity; whether committed as an adult, or as a juvenile. It's not worth taking a chance on people's lives just to allow cowards like Harrington to have guns to hide behind.

POPSFEMA Grant to ACORN is Offensive Rest of Article Below... I’ve had grave reservations about ACORN for some time, and over the past year we’ve seen numerous examples of serious allegations of wrongdoing on the part of this organization and its employees across the country. I simply can’t see the logic behind diverting much needed funding from worthy fire departments to this organization. So last week, I wrote a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano requesting that she rescind this grant from ACORN. As of today, the Secretary has not responded to my request. This site will post a copy of the letter for you to read and see for yourself. Rest assured, I’ll keep working to help prevent further ACORN schemes to procure federal money. POPSFEMA Grant to ACORN is Offensive Yes, it is! Our capital city is trying to cut back on police officers and to merge fire-fighters and the EMS to save money (which in itself is ridiculous), but I'd be willing to guess that our local ACORN organization got some of this money. Especially since our RINO Governor took all the Stimulus money and we've seen no apparent changes.

POPSGood Labour parentalship
Preachers beware. Having listened to the sanctimonious rants from Madam Hewitt for all these years, and having hoped it was good riddance when she resigned... To all Labour supporters, if you cannot tell your friends, and I mean the lying, thieving shits who stole handsomely from the Public Purse whilst lesser mortals were being convicted of petty cash crimes and criminalised for not being able to afford decent advocacy, how can you moralise to a basically moral public. Your corrupt seedlings have really sprouted. Just look at what YOU, and I mean You Labour supporters, have fostered on decent British people. The list of criminal activity in your ranks reads – Mandelson, three times removed from office, Hazel Blears who cannot see corruption from her cell in Salford. Who is that woman whose husband is on trial for corruption in Italy? My memory cannot retain all these names of Labour crooks. I’d like to list the decent Labour MP’s but as the only one I know is resigning at the

POPSAttorney General Holder Urged To Open ACORN-RICO Investigation
The reality is, there are at least a half-dozen state and federal laws that could have been broken here. Even though the undercover young woman is not really a prostitute and there are no El Salvadoran girls here either, this could still meet the legal standard for conspiracy to commit these various crimes. At a bare minimum, depending on the state, it likely fulfills the elements for the crime of attempted conspiracy, which usually carries the exact same penalty as the underlying crimes themselves (prostitution, tax fraud, etc.). What’s important about prostitution and human trafficking is that they are specific triggers for the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, better known as RICO. The RICO law is designed to enable the Justice Department to go after criminal enterprises. It defines “racketeering activity” as including importing illegal aliens for immoral purposes, falsifying identification documents and immigration papers, mail and wire fraud, and . . .

POPSAnyone Else Have FEMA Exercises in Their Town Today? The exercise will simulate criminal activity and is designed to test and evaluate the response to a crisis situation. These incidents will not be real; however, the responses to them are intended be as realistic as possible. In all cases, every effort has been made to balance realism with safety, while still allowing the creation of an effective learning and evaluation environment. Likewise, all participating agencies have balanced their participation in this exercise with their requirements for real-world emergency response and protection. The areas where the full-scale exercise will be undertaken will be clearly marked and will have an appropriate off-limits perimeter established. Law enforcement personnel will be assigned to direct and provide safe passage for motorists while the exercise is being conducted.
