POPSHeroic Pitbull Rescues Family in Assault, which Abandons Him at "Shelter" I was afraid that he was going to hurt them so I did what any guy would do witnessing that kind of a dangerous situation. I was so proud of myself for doing such a good deed, everyone kept telling me how good of a boy I was for springing into action it felt amazing to be so appreciated by everyone who surrounded me at that moment. After the coward ran away I jumped in the back seat of her car and waited for the police to come and make sure this woman and her little boy were going to be safe. Then instead of her taking me home with her, she sent me with animal control. I could not believe it I was stuck in jail for being a hero, this was really confusing because I thought only bad guys go to jail not hero's. The lady I protected told the police that if my owners never came back to claim me that she would adopt me herself, but I never saw her again.

POPSPaying For Your Own Rape . . . Again "That’s why when Senator Joseph Biden, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee, drafted the 1994 Violence Against Women Act, he included provisions to make states ineligible for federal grant money if they charged rape victims for exams and the kits containing the medical supplies needed to conduct them. (Senator John McCain, Ms. Palin’s running mate, voted against Mr. Biden’s initiative, and his name has not been among the long list of co-sponsors each time the act has been renewed.)"

POPSWill Government Ever Learn From The Past? I doubt it. Today's Delancey's Place Tidbit, gives a brief encounter of what happened when the US Government "forced" a whole nation to go dry. What followed was a horrific scene of "forced" drunkenness, "forced" crime and "forced" misery... Today's Government "forced" War on Drugs has produced similar anguish especially for those who seek marijuana to relieve pain and suffering. Not to mention, if this so-called Governmental War on Drugs would lax some of its absurdities, the revenue collected from such sales would help the sinking economy. But it is not about a failing policy, it's all about politics and getting elected. Common sense, must take a back seat once again. Stupidity continues to rule, as time marches on! thinkingblue
