POPSPress and "Psy Ops" to Merge Information Operations advises on information designed to affect the will of the enemy, while Psy Ops includes so-called "black operations," or outright deception. U.S. General David McKiernan, the commander of 50,000 troops from more than 40 nations in NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), ordered the combination of the Public Affairs Office (PAO), Information Operations and Psy Ops (Psychological Operations) from December 1, said a NATO official with detailed knowledge of the move. The new combined ISAF department will come under the command of an American one-star general reporting directly to McKiernan, an arrangement that is also against NATO policy, the NATO official said. "What we are seeing is a gradual increase of American influence in all areas of the war," the NATO official said. "Seeking to gain total control of the information flow from the campaign is just part of that."

POPSDid NBC Risk Employee Lives in a Green Agenda Stunt? . . . And if we are successful, we will reach millions of Americans with the story in an unprecedented way. " Translation -- more sham eco shock and awe. The Race to Peak at the Peak By Monday, the team had ascended to Barranco at 13,000 feet. Another eight-hour climb on Tuesday brought them to Arrow Glacier at 15,700 feet, where they laid camp. But while Curry got a view of the mountain's ice cap, Today watchers were treated to one of a haggard looking reporter complaining that the entire crew was experiencing lethargy, severe headaches and fatigue. The acute altitude sickness they'd developed was also causing peripheral edema -- their faces and fingers were quite visibly swollen. And no wonder -- in a rush to summit the mountain for Friday's green week finale, they had broken all rules of altitude acclimatization, starting with Rule #1: Once above 10,000 feet, altitude should be increased no more than 1,000 feet per day.

POPSBritish terrorist killed? Why is it most free thinking Britons are incensed by the cacophony of abuse aimed at a legal political party, the BNP, but shy away from recognising that their attitudes give credibility to mass murders? On this weeks Question Time, BBC 1, Thursday evening, every single contributor castigated the English electorate for the growing support for the BNP. Not one actually said that - and I am a lifetime Conservative - the BNP is asking the questions, and probably giving an answer, to many of the fears that they have.

POPSBailout? What Bailout. Does acting quickly have the desired effect of appearing to know what you are doing? In the case of the $700B Wall Street bailout, the answer is apparently, No. The fact is Henry Paulson doesn’t have a clue how to best use this money and the program that was originally passed has changed. It is down right scary to know that Congress will vote for a plan without details of that plan and place unprecedented power in the hands of a man who has now clearly shown does not know what to do with the money. People are still loosing their homes and jobs, and our faith in our future is being badly shaken. CEO’s and big oil are walking away with record profits. Politicians grasp at any glimmer of hope to keep things working and no one is truly in control of anything.

Bad Credit history of borrowers reduces their credibility which gives rise to problems when they want to borrow money in the future. Bad credit personal loans can be borrowed in such a situation when financial requirements are troubling you.

POPSWhy A Powell Endorsement Would Matter continued; Powell has been open about some of his own culpability, for presenting bad information to the UN, and accepts the fact that it will be a stain on his record, telling a reporter, "Of course it will. It's a blot. I'm the one who presented it on behalf of the United States to the world, and (it) will always be part of my record. It was painful. It's painful now." I'm not excusing Colin Powell for doing what he did. But, at the same time, him being one of the few who was in the White House during that time puts him in a unique position - to say he's been there and seen what happens when intelligence is no good and twisted, when we go into a war for the wrong reasons and in the wrong way, and that he's confident that Barack Obama is the guy to not only fix those mistakes, but to not repeat them.

POPSFederal Court: Ohio Must Check Voter Registrations Ohio Republican Chairman Bob Bennett accused Brunner of pursuing a partisan agenda and said "her delay in providing this matching system leaves little time for election officials to act on questionable registrations." Bennett said Brunner was destroying the public's trust in Ohio's elections system. "Her shameful actions to disenfranchise Republican absentee voters, block the transparency of early voting and refuse the proper verification of newly registered voters have rightfully damaged her credibility as a nonpartisan election administrator," he said.

POPSSenator Byrd Rips McCain on Earmarks It takes ear-marks to get back our gas taxes for interstate and highways work. For some reason the federal government taxes at the pump alot but then alots and apportions money to be spent by ear-marks. This is a good example of a necessary and justifiable ear-mark. Note the republican Congresswoman Capito supported this very big ear-mark too, and West Virginians (and alot of truck lines who move freight through the state, and help pay for the interstates also through tolls) are not complaining. McCain lost all credibility on ear-marks when he supported the Bailout Bill absolutely loaded with them. Perhaps McCain's biggest hypocrisy on Earmarks is the enormous earmark spending (he supports) for Israel , instead of for Americans.
