Basically, mind mapping avoids dull, linear thinking, jogging your creativity and making note taking fun again. Planning you day or planning your life, summarizing a book, launching a project, planning and creating presentatio

Copyright Laws Protect Critics, Persecute Fans (May 09)
TripodGirl
by TripodGirl  5-22-2009
An interesting analysis of the perverse nature of current copyright laws. If you're a fan who loves characters/fictional worlds so much that you want to make creative non-commercial use of them, you risk being sued for stealing someone's intellectual property. However, if you're a critic who does nothing but trash someone else's creative labour, you're legally protected.

The Future of Science, Technology, and Civilization (hint: we are not alone)
Damo2012
by Damo2012  1-17-2008
This is part 1 of 11. To watch the whole thing follow this link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8524267568796529301&q=Evidence%3A+The+Case+For+NASA+UFO%27s&total=245&start=0&num=20&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 There is an incredible theory on gravity-based faster than light travel as well as a thorough analysis of NASA shuttle video possibly showing vehicles of unknown origin. To the advanced civilization hovering over our heads, I just want to say: many, if not most of us, are ready to know the truth. If we do not hear it, we may all die from esoteric dispute and lack of proper cosmic perspective. Please help.

Creative Genius or Psychotic?
fleshcanvas
by fleshcanvas  6-11-2007    3
Sorry about the "sketchy" clipping (it does look suspect of liberal editing ;) ), but I had to filter out phrases such as "on the other hand" in order to make the cip fit. Check the page out for yourself if you're interested in the correlation between creativity & psychosis. It presents the most in-depth analysis I have yet seen.

This is interesting, and new to me, outlining the theory and practice of the science of invention. It sounds like the focus is enabling folks to be creative, and explore their world. Have not dug too deep into this, but so far, I can't really argue with the stated goals.
