POPS"No Shot" Wackos If you had something that's proven to prevent disease and suffering, you'd get it for the people you love the most — your children, wouldn't you? But suddenly, a bunch of cranks start saying its some kind of government plot, and people buy it, putting themselves, their children and everyone they come into contact with in danger? That's just stupid... dangerously stupid. The exact same technology and techniques that are protecting your children from diseases like polio and whooping cough are in those 'flu vaccines. It isn't anything new or dangerous, so get over your paranoia already... especially since the government is offering the shots for free! So leave your paranoia and conspiracy theories at home, and protect the people you care about. Get the inoculations, and stop being silly.

POPSSean Hannity helps Jerome Corsi promote his black-helicopter 'New World Order' conspiracy theories As Steven Thomma explained for McClatchy: In truth, Rep. Alcee Hastings, D-Fla., has proposed a bill that would order the Homeland Security Department to prepare national emergency centers — to provide temporary housing and medical facilities in national emergencies such as hurricanes. The bill also would allow the centers to be used to train first responders, and for "other appropriate needs, as determined by the Secretary of Homeland Security.

POPSReligion is not the primary motivation of suicide bombers
Whether through sloppy thinking, laziness, or outright racism, Imperial powers love to dismiss local resistance to foreign domination as either "drug-crazed" or "religious fanatics", sometimes both. Because then you don't have to take a close look at their motivations and ask "Why are they pissed off enough to do something like this? Why specifically are they targeting us ? What would I have to be put through to feel like a suicide bombing was a reasonable thing to do? "Oh wait, they're just a bunch of religious nutbags? Great, now we can unleash death an destruction on them and their society knowing that they're unreasoning fanatics, and not people with a legitimate beef. "Nice to know we're still the good guys who never start a fight but always finish it. We're kind of attached to that myth, and it would cause a lot of national distress and heartache if we had to question the reality of that. "Good thing they're just religious crazies."

POPSMore Obama Administration Crazies Then there is the White House energy czar Carol Browner, who served on the environment committee of the Socialist International, the umbrella group for 170 "social democratic, socialist and labor parties" in 55 countries, as reported by Fox News. Browner urged the international socialists to pursue "common action, since human survival increasingly depends upon the joint efforts of people around the world." Browner favors repeal of the industrial revolution to save us from global warming, as the planet gets cooler and cooler. And don't forget the White House science czar John Holdren. In his book Ecoscience: Population, Resources and Environment, Holdren ruminates that forced abortions may be a necessary policy "if the population crisis becomes sufficiently severe to endanger the society." The book also discusses spiking drinking water with chemicals to make people sterile. Harold Koh, who thinks Americans should be ruled by the laws of foreign countries

POPSCrazies said the Civil Rights Act would 'enslave whites' "Death panel" craziness - it's a recurring theme in America: "the crazy tree blooms in every moment of liberal ascendancy, and ... elites exploit the crazy for their own narrow interests." "Good thing our leaders weren't so cowardly in 1964, or we would never have passed a civil rights bill," he laments, "because of complaints over the provisions in it that would enslave whites."

POPS2000/2009 MOB SCENES brought to you by the GOP.
The republican party has been using mob scenes for sometime now... There was the 2000 election when they brought in their thugs to stop the recount. Then again during election days, especially the McCain/Palin rallies (that really should have been called the divide and scatter gatherings.) Now again, they are at it with their organizing mob crowds to descend upon democratic town hall meetings. These people are hateful and law abiding citizens don't know what to make of these type of tactics... That's how they win. So many people believe they are just a crazy fringe and laugh at them while they grow like a blob (as in the movie THE BLOB)... The main problem with normal people is they don't realize how many stupid crazy people inhabit this country... When one gets wind of what the other crazies are doing they jump out of their boring lives and join the mob band wagon. I hope the DNC does not turn its head on the GOP gang... these nuts are out for blood and are gaining momentum..

POPSBirther Queen meltsdown on MSNBC blames MSM “Brownshirts” And the comedy continues. It was only a matter of time before these lunatics came up with ‘proof’ in the form of an obviously faked document. Their 15 minutes of fame is over. Let this nonsense die a peaceful, and lasting, death. The video is pretty special.

POPSEnvironmental skepticism exposed
The Big Picture... Two factors in the early 90s pushed the environmental movement to center stage. One was the vacuum produced by the disappearance of a favorite right wing bogeyman, the "international communist menace." The other was the growing global environmental movement, most conspicuously on display at the Earth Summit in Rio, 1992. Globalization was well underway and "free-trade" for the CTTs meant trade free of any constraints -- constraints on how workers were treated and paid, how the environment was treated and paid for, how consumers were treated and how much they paid. You can get a glimpse of the power of the moment by watcjomg the show stopping 5 minute performance of 12 year old Severn Suzuki at the 1992 Rio Summit. If you've never seen it, take a look. It represented the kind of developing political and ideological power the Right feared most. In 1992 it wasn't yet feasible to destroy the government mechanism of environmental protection by executive fiat. Reagan t

POPSColin Powell's Chief of Staff: Few at Gitmo Guilty of Anything
Finally someone from within the Bush administration, under Colin Powell, speaks the truth. (Wilkerson is the one who calls the Neocons "the crazies"). the mosaic philosophy. Simply stated, this philosophy held that it did not matter if a detainee were innocent . ...Simply stated, even for those two dozen or so of the detainees who might well be hardcore terrorists, there was virtually no chain of custody, no disciplined handling of evidence, and no attention to the details that almost any court system would demand. Falling back on "sources and methods" and "intelligence secrets" became the Bush administration's modus operandi to camouflage this grievous failing. This war, by their own pronouncements, had no end. For political purposes, they knew it certainly had no end within their allotted four to eight years. Moreover, its not having an end, properly exploited, would help ensure their eight rather than four years in office.

POPS Geert Wilders Can Crash at My Place
Yet, rather than trying to apologize for the crazies within their ranks, they continue to try to foist their religion on the rest of us (and talk about taking over the world). It’s just bad PR. And they’re winning. Muslims, even some “moderates,” who call for Sharia Law to be the law of the land in England, are actually winning. They won because the British pussied out and submitted to fear (the word “Islam” translates to “submission”… how apropos) of the very people Wilders is warning them about. So instead of dealing with the trouble and standing up for free speech, standing against terror, and welcoming an invited diplomat from a fellow European Union member, they caved to terror. So while the Brits turned him away, Mr. Wilders can crash at my place any time he needs. I don’t have a big home, but there’s a spare bedroom ... In fact, that bedroom is always open to anyone with a Fatwa, Jihad or other threat of imminent death by the followers of any invisible man in the sk

POPSAl Qaeda's PR Problem: Obama's Popularity A larger part of the problem, which isn't addressed in the article, is that George W. Bush was basically nuts. When the conflict is crazy people v. crazy people, it's a lot easier for one group of crazies to convince people their cause is just. Now it's sane people v. crazy people. The battle for public opinion just got a lot harder for al Qaeda.

POPSJapan's Ultra-Nationalists Live On The world, it seems, cannot yet rid itself of neo-nazies, ultra-nationalists in Japan and Russia, or various fundamentalist crazies. Let's hope that election of Senator Obama to US Presidency begins to point toward a new direction for the global society.
