POPS Osawatomie: The Weather Underground Newspaper Don’t believe me? Read the quotes for yourself, and see them in context on the full pages below. As with my earlier posts about Prairie Fire and Obama’s review of Ayers’ book, media members and bloggers are granted full permission to use the images and transcriptions on this page freely and without restriction. Many thanks to Zomblog contributors experiencedtraveler and Sharmuta, who did the actual legwork of tracking down and obtaining this rare document. (Coincidence? The image on the left shows the Weather Underground Organization logo in 1975, and the Obama for President campaign logo in 2008.) The following quotes are scanned directly from Osawatomie, with a transcription below each image.

POPSFascinating This is a movie I'm looking forward to watching in 2009. I was a boy when the original Star Trek came to the small screen and I'm hoping that spirit will be recaptured in the new film. Love long, and prosper.

POPSBut is it art ? what makes a science-inspired image truly "art"? "that question prompted quite a bit of debate : what makes a science-inspired image truly "art"? Perhaps there is a debate, not so much because Frankel is blurring boundaries, but because she has raised the standard for scientific visualization to an unprecedented high level, making it much harder to tell the difference."

POPSObama's Glass Jaw Which of course brings to mind ... “ The New Yorker Magazine is being protected by security guards and several cartoonists have gone into hiding after the magazine published a cartoonish cover about the Obamassiah. According to Obama scripture it is blasphemous to make images of the prophet. ObamaNation fundamentalists have threatened to bomb the magazines’s offices and kill the cartoonists. ”

POPSTorture not illegal because we don't do it.
USA Attorney General says today he doesn't know if waterboarding is legal or not; This is the nations top lawyer. You'd figure he' have more of an opinion than: "I don't know." The AG also says: "We don't torture." This all the more outrageous because video tapes of USA torture/waterboarding were destroyed so they couldn't be evidence. Plus there are all the images of Abu Garaib prison all over the web. !? It's almost beyond words to describe but fortunately the basics will do: The USA Attorney General is deceptive. He is also not honorable, not true to his word. He is now part of the White House plot to cover up the very exsistence or admission of waterboarding. He's smirky. Gads. Our nation's top lawyer is smirky. I wish I could think of other words or phrases to describe this 'disconnect,' this "lack of coherence," in one's presentation, this clearly displayed dislocation between reality and legal charade shell game. Any other expresseion to describe this?
