POPSUSA History in Haiti People were moaning this week: "How could Haiti arrest our wonderful USA missionaries." But calling themselves 'missionaries,' is like a mask. The facts are criminal acts. Thinking we're the 'saviors,' of Haiti also a Mask. This article, printed yesterday, is a good summary of USA involvement in Haiti. It's great that Anyone does Anything to help Haiti out but thinking the USA is their 'friendly big brother,' or something is way off the mark. A summary from the Aristide days sums it up: QUOTE: "Since the election of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2000, the United States has moved to sabotage Haiti's fledgling democracy through an economic aid embargo, massive funding of elite opposition groups, support for paramilitary coup attempts, and a propaganda offensive against the Aristide government. Hidden from the headlines for years, this campaign has now become an open effort to destroy a popularly elected, progressive government." http://www.haitiaction.net/HFTH/

POPSCAIR and Media’s “Star Witnesses” in Rifqa Bary Case Facing Embezzlement, Mail Tampering Charges
Anyone who sent checks to the Global Revolution Church or transferred money through the church's PayPal account since August for Rifqa's defense is encouraged to contact the Orlando Police Department at 321-235-5300 (complaint desk) to report the funds missing. The “Judas Three” are also facing federal mail tampering charges. After the trio engineered a church leadership coup and fired the Lorenzs back in September, they intercepted personal mail intended for the Lorenzs sent to the church post office box. Instead of forwarding the mail to the Lorenz’s in accordance with federal law, they sent the mail to CAIR attorney Omar Tarazi, who is representing Rifqa's parents in Ohio. Tarazi, knowing that the mail had been illegally obtained, then attempted to use this purloined correspondence to sabotage negotiations with Rifqa's legal team, making him an accessory after the fact to the Judas Three's felonious mail tampering. Additionally, Tarazi never notified postal

POPSThe Destabilization of Haiti: February 29, 2004 The self-proclaimed Front pour la Libération et la reconstruction nationale (FLRN) (National Liberation and Reconstruction Front) is led by Guy Philippe, a former member of the Haitian Armed Forces and Police Chief. Philippe had been trained during the 1991 coup years by US Special Forces in Ecuador, together with a dozen other Haitian Army officers. (See Juan Gonzalez, New York Daily News, 24 February 2004).

POPSThe two edged sword of Haiti relief While everyone applauds the assistance being provided to Haiti, few know how Haiti has become so impoverished... Well you can thank many of the nations who are there now "helping". Will all this aid come with strings attached? You only have to look at Haiti's history to answer that question. A further understanding of the dangers is fleshed out in the book, "The Shock Doctrine", by Naomi Klein.

POPS Surge This If we really face a serious situation requiring a non-Bushian surge of air marshalls, we need to re-think our legal treatment of the Detroit pants bomber, separate him from his lawyer and exhort him to chat with some intelligence professionals. Or, if talking to the pants bomber is not a priority, why the faux non-Bushian surge? Oh, well - if Michelle, Sasha and Malia were flying on commercial jets I have no doubt the pants bomber would be in Gitmo right now. Instead, Obama and Holder get to preen on the world stage as ardent defenders of civil rights while we wonder whether other Americans will be blown up. POPSIranian Basij Thugs Taking A Beating 1.06.2010 Iran's revolution entered a new phase with Ashura - the protestors, as I noted here, have become far more militant. The protesters are willing to stand and attack the IRGC and basij thugs attempting to brutally repress them. And here is a bit more anecdotal evidence - a video showing a crowd attacking a group of basij on their motorcycles. What A Difference Two Weeks Has Made Wednesday, January 6, 2010

Bonne lecture!

POPSMonopoly Capitalism Is the Root of All of America's Problems The indoctrination is that we live in a market economy that determines globalization and everything else. I don’t know why this generation of Americans was more gullible. I can’t understand that. But it’s just a fact and we need to wake up. This systemic risk is a result of monopolists preaching efficiency because they want to take cash out of the system. For example, let’s say they have two machines, and sell one. They get money for the machine they sell, and then the one left over will be more expensive to use so they can charge more for its use. They pocket the money from the machine they sell and get more money off the one machine they have left. The problem, though, is they only have one machine left. If something goes wrong, we can have huge systemic failures. Treasury to dole out USD 3.8 billion more for GMAC

POPSBarack Obama's Rule by EPA Decree Is a coup d'etat Against Congress, Made In Britain - ClimateGate In the first place, regulation can be challenged in a way that laws cannot. So the EPA’s proposed ruling on so-called “Greenhouse Gases” can be opposed extensively with litigation, to the point that the ruling might not yet be in force when Obama demits office. In the second place, the EPA is funded by Congress. So, if the Agency is being used to bypass or neuter Congress, why should legislators not play hardball and retaliate by cutting off its funding? The EPA may look formidable, but its situation is rather as if Rommel were buying the fuel for his tanks from the Allies. But what is of compelling interest on this side of the pond is the way in which the bullets to shoot down American democracy were made in Britain. The trail is not hard to follow.

POPSLand of the Free, Home of the Brave Or, since I am referring to Honduras, "tierra de los libres, hogar de los valientes". Congratulations to the people of Honduras, who maintained their democratic process in the face of tremendous international pressure to abdicate it. It is now only a matter of time before other nations--including my beloved Brazil--will recognize the legitimate government. Look for Chavez' Venezuela to be a spitefully perpetual holdout.
