The EPA is the new IRS
inglesita
by inglesita  12-11-2009    1
Krauthammer hits the nail on the head once more. Our struggling leaders of industry are going to bear the brunt - or crumble in the attempt - of "saving the world" (or lining pockets of government hacks and the new scientific elite). The richest citizens in the world will soon be huddling masses under blankets because the EPA will make the cost of heating our homes and offices a "luxury". What a step forward. Plus, NONE of this stolen money will help the Third World citizens - only their corrupt leaders and the U.N.

ANOTHER SEIU BEATING– State Worker Bloodied Because He Was Going to Expose Corruption
merrie
by merrie  11-8-2009    1
HotAirPundit found the video report: http://www.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/8178 Besides being a state worker, Hamidi says he’s an unpaid reporter for a cable access show and a vocal critic of the SEIU. He calls the state workers’ union corrupt. “This is a union hall that is leased and is being furnished and equipped and everything with our money,” said Hamidi. Hamidi says he came to the hall to expose how he says SEIU union leaders are spending tens of thousands of dollars on a political race, he claims, they have no right to do. After he and a photographer walked in to the meeting, it didn’t take long for Hamidi to be right out the door and on his way to the hospital. The local SEIU says the man was acting like a bully.

"Anarchy" in the 3rd World unless West Coughs up Ca$h
pkronfield
by pkronfield  9-21-2009    6
This is laughable. Once again the U.N. tried to soak developed nations. And they warn anarchy will grip the 3rd world. Hello.... Anarchy already rules the 3rd world, and always has. Look at the corrupt "representatives" they send to the U.N. Look at their corrupt (and sometimes cannibal) leaders. Look at the kingdoms of the Middle East. If that isn't anarchy, I don't know what anarchy is.

Pelosi will let Rangel hold post despite latest allegations

FTA: There is also the danger of alienating members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), a large bloc of liberals in the Democratic Caucus. Many of them take pride in the fact that one of their members sits atop Ways and Means. Pelosi: Jan. 2006 ""It is long past time for the Congress to address the systemic Republican culture of corruption that has undermined the American people's confidence in this institution," Pelosi said. "I am proud that some of the best minds in our Caucus will be leading the Democratic effort to clean up the corrupt Republican Congress. These great leaders will work to restore truth and trust to the People's House." Hypocrite.

The Dictatorship Regime Lead By Supreme Leader
merrie
by merrie  7-3-2009
By doing so, the regime lead by supreme leader Ali Khamenei, hoped to silence the last remaining (moderate) opposition leaders who themselves count as prominent figures of the Islamic regime, and complete his grand scheme of creating an Islamic state rather than a republic. However, this so called election 'coup' failed as the courageous people of Iran took to the streets to let the world know what is happening and make their cries for justice and basic rights be heard throughout the globe. Once again, a dictatorship has failed to tame the brave and free people of Iran. The Islamic regime has lost all credibility. This is the beginning of the end for this corrupt, backward and violent regime.

The Obama Doctrine: "Don't Blame Me"
merrie
by merrie  4-23-2009    1
Secondly, the Obama Doctrine demonstrates Obama’s massively overweening sense of self-importance. Foreign leaders are not idiots -- if they sense they can elicit concessions from America simply by inflating Obama’s confidence, they’ll do it. Even assuming Obama’s supposed international popularity, that popularity does not translate into a better international deal for America. Foreign leaders can stroke Obama’s ego while undermining America’s strength in the world. The world’s fawning patronage of Barack Obama does not mean the world will treat America as an ally. That is because nations view each other historically, not based on what they’ve done the past few months. Viewing Germany as a peaceful socialistic country, ignoring its fascist past, . . . Viewing Russia as a corrupt mobocracy ignores its undercurrents of communistic thuggery, relics of the Soviet era.

Afghanistan, Another Untold Story
katsteevns
by katsteevns  4-9-2009    10
Some Real History Since feudal times the landholding system in Afghanistan had remained unchanged, with more than 75 percent of the land owned by big landlords who comprised only 3 percent of the rural population. In the mid-1960s, democratic revolutionary elements coalesced to form the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In 1973, the king was deposed, but the government that replaced him proved to be autocratic, corrupt, and unpopular. It in turn was forced out in 1978 after a massive demonstration in front of the presidential palace, and after the army intervened on the side of the demonstrators.

Spurned By US, Karzai Eyes Russia
merrie
by merrie  1-29-2009    1
corrupt and insulated in Kabul from the surging influence of the Taliban in the provinces. With Obama signaling for months that he would turn a cold shoulder, Karzai has responded by reaching out to another regional player, Russia. That development, regional observers say, could pose distinct peril for the region. It also runs against the current of Afghan history in which so many leaders of the present government fought to free Afghanistan from the yoke of the former Soviet Union. It leaves some wondering if Karzai's posturing isn't more an act of desperation than a savvy political move. Afghanistan and Russia are now engaged in what appear to be cordial and mutually beneficial negotiations to improve Afghanistan’s defense, at the same time shoring up Karzai’s increasingly shaky position and providing a counterweight to the United States’ domination of the region.

What is unfortunate is that the Cairo declaration is actually a subservient document to the true intent of the OIC: to force Shari'ah upon the citizens of each of its member states and the world beyond as these leaders see Islam as the answer to the challenges of today's world. If want to know the names of the OIC's member states, here they are. Look closely at them and you will see some of the most-oppressive, corrupt, criminal and ungodly governments ever known to inhabit the face of this Earth.

Europe must Lead Boycott against Apartheid again.
ratcatcher2
by ratcatcher2  1-15-2009    6
Most Americans pay lip-service to equality. No Arab life is worth one Zionists in their eyes. Europe must bring its true Christian values to bear and solve the Middle East problem. A real boycott for 3-6 month would have the Zionists suing for peace. Europe is not riddled with Islamophobia. Its politicians don't need vetting by AIPAC. Their leaders don't consult Olmert to make decisions. Free Europe can free the Middle East. Let the American taxpayer support a corrupt regime while Europe seeks freedom and justice for all.

Government Financial Collapses: Five States Plead for Bailout
blueridge
by blueridge  1-4-2009    1
Hey Gov. Schwarzenegger: "Hasta la vista, baby"! Those were your words when you took power as governor promising to prevent this very thing. The taxpaying citizens of the U.S. don't want to bailout out your corrupt state government either, any more than the Banksters or Auto-making Conglomerates. You will lose your governorship next. Hasta la vista, baby. The Terminator seems so prophetic, Calif. ruined. Note New York, California, Ohio, the larger electoral and population states (3 of the top 6), and Massachussetts (birthplace of America liberty) are in financial collapse. (New York City went bankrupt about 20 years ago). This is of the greatest political, as well as economic, significance. The breakup of the U.S. is beginning in this Economic Earthquake of Banks, Corporations, and Governments. It is more a Fiscal Crisis than an economic crisis caused by mismanagement of banks and governments which are now reaping the fruits of the corruption they sowed.

Maybe The Holy Land Foundation paid for the kidnapping of Gilad Shalit who still remains in captivity or for the murder of countless Israel civilians; maybe their monies paid for the Qasam rockets that Hamas has rained down upon civilians in Sderot and Ashkelon. Maybe it paid for most of the weapons shipped to Hamas by boat and by underground tunnel. But, many people say, the Palestinians are starving refugees and it’s all Israel’s fault. No, I beg to differ: Palestinian suffering is primarily the fault of their own corrupt, terrorist leaders who have refused to allow Arabs who once considered themselves Egyptians, Syrians, or Jordanians to become citizens of those countries and who keep back all the monies and resources sent to the Palestinian people from abroad, including from the Israeli government, in order to show the world how cruel Israel is, and in order to both “grow” homicide-suicide killers, as well as to fund their relentless,

Obama - A Question of Character
pkronfield

And whether the country understands it or not, and whether voters think it’s a big deal or not, integrity and associations matter. If Barack Obama is elected President, sooner or later people will realize this applies to him as well. It’s only right to ask the relevant questions in advance of this election — and despite the ridicule being dished out by the acolytes and cheerleaders of Senator Obama, it’s not too much to ask Obama to explain his relationship over the years with people who have a disturbing history of violence, hatred for America, and corruption.

Royal Dutch Shell to go to Trail for Complicity in Torture and Murder of Nigerian Protesters

Nigeria has been chief among Shell’s assets for many years. Critics charge that with the aim of production at any cost, regardless of the damage to the surrounding people and land, Shell disrupted thousands of lives and wreaked havoc on the environment. In the early 1990’s, the people of Nigeria began to protest. Shell made payments and provided arms to security forces that they knew to be abusive to local communities. The military government violently repressed the demonstrations and arrested and bribed witnesses. Nine leaders of the demonstrations were murdered, including the aforementioned well-known activist and writer, Ken Saro-Wiwa.

Injecting her into the body politic
sillysam
by sillysam  9-30-2008
Wall Street and Washington were full of people who were “qualified and experienced” in the field of finance. Sen. Barack Obama, for one, has a great deal of experience in the housing field. So do many of his closest advisers. I would have traded some of that experience for a few more leaders with less experience and more courage to buck the establishment and tell the truth about what was happening. This brings me back to Governor Sarah Palin, and why I say that courage and political will are at the very top of the “qualification” requirements for today’s leaders. So the question is, how does Sarah Palin compare on that score with Biden and Obama, for that matter? Very well, I’d say.

Sen. Ted Stevens (R-AK) Indicted For Being Sleazy
merrie
by merrie  8-2-2008    22
And the “Congressional White Caucus” won’t jump to defend Sen. Stevens the way the Congressional Black Caucus did for William Jefferson. Why? Because Sen. Stevens’ actions — just like those of Sen. Jefferson — are indefensible. Oh, and the fact that there isn’t anything as absurdly segregationist and just plain absurd as a Congressional White Caucus. ________ With the possible exception of Rep. John Culberson (R-TX), Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Sen. Jim Demint (R-SC), and Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CN) — I think we should expel every other member of Congress and start over with people of honest and integrity…but more than that, people who don’t think my money is their money. Leaders committed to truly small and limited government. Sadly, our country is headed in exactly the opposite direction.

McCain and Obama Go to Church, as US Gov't Goes to Hell
blueridge
by blueridge  7-21-2008
Not just any church of course, but a Mega-Church. 1. Obama uses Rick Warren as an endorsement to escape his association in public minds with the so-called "reverend" Wright: “looking forward to going back to Saddleback with his good friend Pastor Rick Warren.” Obama spoke at Saddleback in 2006. 2. McCain gets to publicly show that he is not averse to (so-called) Christian political churches, which he has criticized in past. 3. Rick Warren, Mr. Hireling and his "Purpose Driven Church"(merchandisers), gets to increase his publicity and no doubt a huge intake of "tithes and offerings" (and 5013c IRS laws will not prevent, since it is bipartisan) for his corrupt church, which Jesus and the apostles would not recognize any more than a Roman Catholic Mass. All in all, this is theater and corruption, religious and political leaders, like the Pharisees and Herodians getting together (who persecuted apostles, as Jesus warned), but no one dare say so.
