More Obama Nuttiness – CIA Spying on Icebergs and Polar Bears
merrie
by merrie  1-6-2010    2
Since CIA satellite data is secret, those opposing the Cap and Trade Tax and anthropomorphic climate change may have no access to any data quoted by the Democrats. The article by William J. Broad went on to say, Secrecy cloaks the monitoring effort, as well as the nation’s intelligence work, because the United States wants to keep foes and potential enemies in the dark about the abilities of its spy satellites and other sensors. The images that the scientific group has had declassified, for instance, have had their sharpness reduced to hide the abilities of the reconnaissance satellites. Controversy has often dogged the use of federal intelligence gear for environmental monitoring. In October, days after the C.I.A. opened a small unit to assess the security implications of climate change, Senator John Barrasso, Republican of Wyoming, Has President Obama reassigned CIA assets .....

Fraud: the one constant in the global warming hysteria
dl211
by dl211  1-5-2010
IPCC assessment reports, and particularly their Summaries for Policymakers (SPM), are noted for their selective use of information and their bias to support the political goal of control of fossil fuels in order to fight an alleged anthropogenic global warming (AGW). So the Kyoto protocol was based on fictitious science, exaggerated or fabricated outright for political purposes. The same Professor Santer who hijacked the Second Assessment Report figures prominently in Climategate. Many of his emails were disclosed by the East Anglia whistleblower; among other things, they show Santer resisting all efforts by independent scientists to obtain information, through Freedom of Information Act requests, about the statistical manipulations that Santer applies to raw climate data to “prove” the existence of anthropogenic global warming.

Should ADHD Drugs Be Available To All Consumers?

ADD and ADHD drugs have become the subject of controversy amid investigations into professional athletes use of performance enhancing supplements. Some people liken ADD drugs to "brain steroids", setting off a debate over the ethics of these medications being given to those who haven't been diagnosed with the disorder.

One Nation Under God - Jon McNaughton
Normn8or
by Normn8or  1-2-2010
These men and women were passionately religious and saw the hand of God all around them. To God they gave Thanks for His Hand in the founding of this great nation. To Him, according to their own testimony they turned for wisdom and strength when life and liberty hung in the balance. Certainly the debate on separation of church and state will continue. But no one can dispute how our Founding Fathers and Patriots felt about God. The record is clear! 'One Nation Under God' is Jon McNaughton's witness and reminder that those who went before us knew from whence their blessings came! The Despot of the North
darkeforce
by darkeforce  12-30-2009
Once again, Prime Minister Harper tries to shut down the parliamentary process because he doesn't feel that he has tyrannical control over the government. Questions are being asked about the Afghani prisoner abuses and the opposition parties are blocking his heavy-handed bills in Parliament, so he's going to stack the Senate with Conservatives (a process he vocally condemned early in his despotic reign) to give him absolute control over the government. That's not the Canadian way; that's taking a page out of Bush's fascist book. If Governor General Michael Jean approves a prorogue, there is going to be a huge outcry, and hopefully, hell to pay.

The Israeli Crime Syndicate Exposed, Human Organs Trafficking
blueridge
by blueridge  12-25-2009
Now link this story to the FBI arrests of the Rabbis in New Jersey last year ( reported by FOX News here ) and you have a larger picture of the Israeli crime syndicate involved in this illegal human organ trafficking from both sides. authorities say, he brokered the sale of black-market kidneys, buying organs from vulnerable people from Israel for $10,000 and selling them to desperate patients in the U.S. for as much as $160,000. Will Israel be reprimanded and will the FBI arrest more of this Israeli syndicate?

A Merry Christmas for 'Health Care Command and Control Administration's' Congress

'not green enough' will be rationed. The cross enforcement of anti-pollution laws and green technologies will bring the EPA to the party as an enforcement arm tailored to regulating all manner of pollution producers. Think of banning riding mowers as creating pollution and a sedentary lifestyle, thus running afoul of the 'Green AND Obesity Police.' Want to smoke a cigar with your goombahs at the local pizzeria? Fuggedaboudit! Pizza will, of course, be banned or regulated as a major cause of obesity. Those ovens that pump out CO2 by the cubic yard have got to go, too. And cigars? Not only do they cause cancer, global warming and spew aroma pollutants, but the second hand smoke is a weapon used to assault other peoples' health. Now fur-wearing can be rightfully banned as the glorification of sport hunting among otherwise 'civilized' people. The practical implications of amassing policy-making power in one central administration is almost endless as more and more regulatory

Digg Screws Members | Goes rel "no follow"
MichaelEhline
by MichaelEhline  12-24-2009    4
In a disturbing trend among many SB sites, Digg is apparently trying to keep all the link juice for itself, saying it will only allow links to go do follow if a certain number of user votes. The problem with that is we all know that vote rings make it possible for many undeserving links to get votes at Digg. So how can Digg vouch for Huffington Post, when the rumor is they have paid voters, etc.?

Obscene, chilling, cruel, insane, immoral ... The question is not whether animals (or humans) have rights. It is by what right do humans carry out such horrors on the innocent? The answer is by their Might only. Which is against all ethical behaviour which by definition starts with Might is NOT right. If it was, every evil is permissible. As, indeed, it seems to be these days ...

Manipulated data.........Climategate continues
mountainpalm
by mountainpalm  12-18-2009    1
The incident involved an e-mail server used by the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in Norwich, East England. Unknown persons stole and anonymously disseminated thousands of e-mails and other documents dealing with the global-warming issue made over the course of 13 years. Controversy arose after various allegations were made including that climate scientists colluded to withhold scientific evidence and manipulated data to make the case for global warming appear stronger than it is. Climategate has already affected Russia. On Tuesday, the Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis (IEA) issued a report claiming that the Hadley Center for Climate Change based at the headquarters of the British Meteorological Office in Exeter (Devon, England) had probably tampered with Russian-climate data.

The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming. For Gaia’s sake, he’s not a scientist, he’s an alarmist! Didn’t the Norwegian Nobel Committee make that clear? He can’t be expected to stick to facty stuff. Too much depends on it. However I think all the old ladies who gave their precious few dollars to a charlatan who said "give me $$ or god will take me" are far better off without him around... However, I'm sure the uber-weathly Richard Roberts is proud of the empire his dad built ... proud enough to lead the lifestyle of the rich & famous.

"It’s unclear to me how this figure was arrived at,” Dr Maslowski said. “I would never try to estimate likelihood at anything as exact as this.” Mr Gore’s office later admitted that the 75 per cent figure was one used by Dr Maslowksi as a “ballpark figure” several years ago in a conversation with Mr Gore. The embarrassing error cast another shadow over the conference after the controversy over the hacked e-mails from the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit, which appeared to suggest that scientists had manipulated data to strengthen their argument that human activities were causing global warming."
