Beck and his fellow band of hooligans have been telling scary stories about President Obama whom Limbaugh has disrespectfully referred to as "the little black man child." Beck recently accused the biracial President of having "a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture." And he has attacked a number of key Administration officials accusing them of being socialist and anti-American. Limbaugh, who has a history of making racially charged remarks about Obama, has called the mixed-race president "a halfrican American." Days before the President's inauguration in January, Limbaugh said, "I hope he fails" - the verbal equivalent of putting a razor blade in a candy apple. POPSObama’s Media Control Strategy The new plan: federal government would define a “new public square” with a “common space with shared facts.” The only reason I can see why the federal government wants to “define a new public square” is so it can have some control over the flow of information. Am I being too paranoid? If the internet is to remain a truly free-flow of information, we need to keep it free from any type of control. Sure, there will always be misinformation, but having multiple sources of info is the checks-and-balances system to identify that misinformation as bogus. This new system sounds suspiciously like the “new public square” is the “public option” for the media and this extreme makeover is not only for media but our system of government.

POPS Obama’s Media Control Strategy It looks like various progressive groups are lining up at the public trough for their share of the loot. They have in mind what the George Soros-funded Free Press calls "an alternative media infrastructure." They claim we can draw no legitimate conclusions about Obama’s own beliefs from the above facts concerning his associations. In so doing, they are in effect charging his detractors with committing a reasoning error logicians call a “Circumstantial Ad Hominem Argument.” They thus gainsay his opponents’ claims that because of his own special circumstances—in this case that Obama has had ongoing relationships with many known Marxists—he must share certain specific views (namely, Marxist). They argue that these relationships are, in fact, utterly irrelevant to his actual beliefs and should not be cited as evidence of them.

POPS1,500 Tea Party Protesters Drove For an Hour Through The Rain From today's tea party speech (excerpt): First of all there is a cable news channel today that is relatively fair and balanced. And it’s doing quite well by the way….. In the second quarter that just ended FOX News had the Top 10 rated shows. The top 10 rated shows. There is obviously a market for fair and balanced news!! So that is one avenue of truth for you. If you want the truth….. There is also Talk Radio! POPSThe Trouble With Socialism
Liberals can never say exactly what they want because it’s scary. That’s why they don’t work on talk radio. If they say what they’re goals are unfiltered, it even scares themselves. Look at college campuses; if liberals were unrestrained, is there any doubt their final goal would be socialism and fascism? They inch into any control they can have about our finances and behavior and clamp down on it like wolverines never letting go, but they never talk about their ultimate goals except in the vaguest terms (”Change and happiness!”) because they’re well aware of how much it would freak people out. They want socialism and government control, but they just don’t want to state it that way. Conservative ideals can be stated frankly, though, and not send people running. It can be a little scary - freedom and responsibility is scary - but it’s an argument people will accept. We need to state frankly what our goals are. Lay out a real vision for the future to inspire people.

While right-wing media are certainly not legally culpable for any recent attacks, they are responsible for promoting a culture of fear, paranoia, and violence that is anti-government in the extreme -- a culture in which extremists, including von Brunn and Richard Poplawski, who fatally shot three Pittsburgh police officers, were apparently immersed. Poplawski was convinced that the Obama administration was going to take away his guns. Even though no evidence of such a policy exists, right-wing commentators and news organizations made the claim repeatedly before the shooting and have continued to do so since. Predictably, conservative media figures responded to the museum shooting by attempting to shift attention away from themselves and onto political liberals and even President Obama himself. On June 10, the day of the museum shooting, financial analyst and radio host Jim Lacamp said on Fox News that "we have an administration that's really done a lot of class warfare, a lot of cla

POPS"....This Is Not Your Mother's Democratic Party This pretty well sums it up for me. I went to the public library today. I was met, outside the facility, by a petitioner who wanted me to sign something. I asked him who he represented. He muttered the "ACLU" and asked if I'd heard of ACORN. I was disgusted and walked away. I love the Library, but I know who *hangs out* there for the most part. There are many homeless, young blacks who lotter because there's nothing else to do, college-age who are looking for support/grants, greenies with their peace-not-war bags.etc. I have nothing against any of these people. They are living their lives and trying to receive help or promote their ideology. It's still a free Country...but I don't think a 2-time Bush supporter, Conservative, Republican Woman would have been the least interested in signing his petition. However, he knew where to station himself.
