POPSCapitalism again proves to the the source of the problem
This article is a must-read. The unfair capitalist healthcare system causes a glut on doctors in rich areas where they can earn more, and a sparsity in areas where they would earn less, like poor communities. Do people still think that America can get by without reforming Healthcare? Doctor's salaries need to be standardized, so a doctor working in a dirt-poor area of Arkansas is going make the same amount (by scale of skill) as a doctor in Malibu, California. 50 million uninsured Americans, and another 50 million underinsured Americans are too many people to be excluded from proper, complete healthcare. It's criminal, and amoral. C'mon, all you right-wingers! Don't you think that women and newborn children dying from perfectly preventable causes during childbirth is more important that wondering if federal money is going to perform abortions? Don't you think that people ending up losing limbs or eyesight due to lack of care for their diabetes is more important than getting all work

POPSThings to Know Before you Choose a Call Center Businesses spend a lot of money in marketing and advertising their products and services. Unless the right call center is chosen, all those efforts and dollars will be wasted. Most call centers function just like an answering service even for sales calls; they simply do NOT convince callers to buy the product/service. The right call center will ultimately get the best bang for your buck and also reduce your need to manage the campaign. It will give you the time and energy to do what you want to do - focus on YOUR business.

POPSSecret Mission Rescues Yemen's Jews
and travel to the capital 50 miles to the south. There, they met U.S. State Department officials conducting a clandestine operation to bring some of Yemen's last remaining Jews to America to escape rising anti-Semitic violence in his country. In all, about 60 Yemeni Jews have resettled in the U.S. since July; officials say another 100 could still come. There were an estimated 350 in Yemen before the operation began. Some of the remainder may go to Israel and some will stay behind, most in a government enclave. The secret evacuation of the Yemeni Jews -- considered by historians to be one of the oldest of the Jewish diaspora communities -- is a sign of America's growing concern about this Arabian Peninsula land of 23 million. The operation followed a year of mounting harassment, and was plotted with Jewish relief groups while Washington was signaling alarm about Yemen. In July, Gen. David Petraeus was dispatched to Yemen to encourage President Ali Abdullah Saleh to be

POPSUN calls on Israel to halt demolition of Palestinian homes
“The UN reiterates its call for an immediate and unconditional halt to such actions and urges the State of Israel to protect the civilian population in oPt from further displacement and dispossession.” Israel occupied the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, in the 1967 war and annexed the latter in a move not recognized internationally. According to Israeli authorities house demolitions are carried out on homes that have been built without official building permits, rendering them “illegal.” But, OCHA said, “lack of adequate planning combined with strict administrative requirements and high fees makes it extremely difficult for Palestinian residents to obtain such permits, leaving them no choice but to build ‘illegally’ to provide shelter for their families. Palestinian families who move outside the municipal boundaries risk losing their Jerusalem ID cards, and with it the right to live in and access the city.” [/quote}

POPS"The Artist in Chief" and "Navigating the Art of Change” To borrow a line from the Artist in Chief, I’m “fired up and ready to go.” Am I starting to sound like an advocate? Well, that seems to be a touchy subject. Some quote-unquote “journalists” have recently accused this agency of losing its independence and becoming a propaganda machine. While I want to state in no uncertain terms that the NEA is not a political agency and that when art becomes propaganda I lose all interest in it, I also want everyone to know that the days of a defensive NEA are over. We have a plan and we are going to, quote, “advocate” for it. Remember, please, that the NEA is an unusual agency within the federal government. We have always been considered the champions of the arts and artists in the public sector. In a sense, we do “advocate” for them in a way that the IRS doesn’t advocate for taxes or the FCC for bandwidth. We promote the arts. POPSObama’s FCC, “Media Justice” Mob, and Liberal Churches
* Media change of all kinds must expose and directly confront the mechanics of structural racism and systemic oppression. * Leaders from historically marginalized communities must be developed as effective media activists and strategic movement communicators. * Media policy advocacy and strategic communications are more effective when clearly relevant to the primary justice issues of the movement for racial justice, economic and gender equity, and youth rights. * Compelling communications and media activism campaigns must be both rooted in critical issues and coordinated across issue, sector, and region for national impact. * When justice sectors strengthen communications strategies, center the use of culture as a communications tool, employ winning frames and messages, and strengthen their influence over media rules and rights, the possibilities for transformative change skyrocket. “Transformative change” = a media landscape purged of the Right’s most powerful voices.
