POPS The Message Of Obama's Socialist Realism Art And Senator Obama’s supporters insist that their dear leader has nothing to do with socialist/Marxist leanings, thoughts, beliefs? Next time they tell you that, just point out the Fairey “Hope” button they wear on their lapel, or the one they are sporting as a sticker on their car. The similarities between the Soviet, Cuban, Chinese Communist and Barack Obama propaganda posters are not coincidental. Barack Obama is a collectivist, a far-Left socialist who has attracted and has the support of radical groups, including the Communist Party Illinois, Socialist Party USA, The Center for Constitutional Rights and The Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism. The Obama “Progress” poster was designed by leftwing (surprise!) artist Shepard Fairey. A similar poster by Fairey, with the word “change” on it is sold by Barack Obama’s online campaign store.

thereby setting the stage for the eventual rise of new Marxist third party. Most New Party members hailed from the Democratic Socialists of America and the militant organization ACORN. The party's Chicago chapter also included a large contingent from the Committees of Correspondence, a Marxist coalition of former Maoists, Trotskyists, and Communist Party USA members. The New Party's modus operandi included the political strategy of "electoral fusion," where it would nominate, for various political offices, candidates from other parties (usually Democrats), thereby enabling each of those candidates to occupy more than one ballot line in the voting booth. By so doing, the New Party often was able to influence candidates' platforms. (Fusion of this type is permitted in seven states -- Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, and Vermont -- but is common only in New York.) http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2008/05/barack-obama-ran-on-marxist-party-line.

POPSWill US Respect Democratic Will of Nepal Electorate? They didn't respect the democratic will of Gazan when they elected Hamas to rule. Both have in common been on the US list of terrorist groups. Just like Nelson Mandela still is! Will the US now conspire to undo the democratic will of the Nepalese like they did with Hamas? The US record with apartheid South Africa hasn't been forgotten either. Looking to Israel is a good reminder daily. Is there a guaranteed of being democratically elected to have your party listed as a terrorist group by the USA?

POPSTrade Unions: Don't follow anti-Worker USA
"Compared to the thriving £2.3bn-a-year anti-union industry in the United States, where up to 80% of corporations faced with a union organising campaign turn to a union-busting consultancy or specialist law firm, the business is still fairly low-key in Britain. Only a handful of companies are known to have thus far availed themselves of the services of the major US firms, which bear names such as the Burke Group, Labour Relations Institute and PTI Labour Research and have shown a mounting interest in the UK market ever since the Blair government's Employment Relations Act came into effect in June 2000, guaranteeing union recognition wherever a majority of employees are in favour. "The US firms got very excited about this," says John Logan of the London School of Economics, who recently completed a report on the issue for the TUC. "Their marketing line is basically: we've got 60 years of experience in union avoidance under laws like these, and we can help you. To my knowledge, at lea

POPSObama’s Communist Mentor AIM Column | By Cliff Kincaid | February 18, 2008
Is it possible that Obama did not know who Davis was when he wrote his book, Dreams From My Father, first published in 1995? The communists knew who "Frank" was, and they know who Obama is. One academic who travels in communist circles understands the significance of the Davis-Obama relationship. Professor Gerald Horne, a contributing editor of the Communist Party journal Political Affairs, talked about it during a speech last March at the reception of the Communist Party USA archives at the Tamiment Library at New York University. The remarks are posted online under the headline, "Rethinking the History and Future of the Communist Party." Takara says that Davis "espoused freedom, radicalism, solidarity, labor unions, due process, peace, affirmative action, civil rights, Negro History week, and true Democracy to fight imperialism, colonialism, and white supremacy. He urged coalition politics." Challenge the liberal media to report on this. Will they have the honesty to do so

POPSMeet Robert Pastor "From February 1975 to January 1977, Dr. Pastor was executive director of the Linowitz Commission on U.S./Latin American Relations. The Linowitz Commission supported President Carter’s decision to negotiate a treaty to turn over the Panama Canal to Panama. Dr. Pastor has also co-authored a 1989 book with his long-time friend, Jorge G. Castañeda, who began his career as a member of the Mexican Communist Party. Castañeda, a life-long admirer of the radical left, published in 1998 an admiring biography of the revolutionary “hero” Che Guevara. Castañeda, like Pastor, has sought to work in government positions to implement his theories. Robert Pastor argued in an article in CFR’s Foreign Affairs,” that the United States would benefit by giving up U.S. national Sovereignty. “Countries are benefited “when they changed these policies, and evidence suggests that North Americans are ready for a new relationship that renders this old definition of sovereignty obsolet

POPSHave we Adopted CMNST. MANIFESTO?-3 --<<In order to comprehend, more fully, just how far down the Socialist road (under both Democrat and Republican presidents) we have traveled, consider the following from the Ten Point plank of the Communist (Socialist) Manifesto of 1848: = Abolition of property in land and application of all rent of land to public purposes. = A heavy progressive or graduated income tax = Centralization of credit ... by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly = Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state. = Free education for all children in public schools >>>------------ --------- The thing that gets me now is how the swing is back to the drive for control of the radio airwaves. Funny how its based on vengeance rather than their own principle.

POPSWHAT IS SOCIALISM? (Collectivism)-1 --<<Bernard Baruch, Wall Street financier and key advisor in Frankliln Delano Roosevelt's New Deal and chairman of the War Industries Board during the First World War, stated the following in an August 1918 speech: "Every man's life is at the call of the nation and so must be every man's property. We are living today in a highly organized state of socialism. The state is all; the individual is of importance only as he contributes to the welfare of the state". POPSDemocracy Inaction This does raise an interesting question, namely, does voting make a government Democratic? Consider Japan, which is heavily jerrymandered, and the entire political process has been engineered to promote incumbents. Despite regular voting, the same party (the LDP) has controlled the country for all but about 6 months of the last 50 years. And what of America, where far less than half the eligible voters participate in elections? Can we say that it is truly a democracy if none of the people vote? In fact, we should be very worried about the existence of a "Voting Class," and be very concerned about what are the social characteristics of the large group of people who do not vote. To write them off as slackers dismisses the inequities that are alarmingly inherent in our society.

POPSRemember: Saddam Was Our Man NY Times OpEd from March 14, 2003. The United States also sent arms to the new regime, weapons later used against the same Kurdish insurgents the United States had backed against Kassem and then abandoned. Soon, Western corporations like Mobil, Bechtel and British Petroleum were doing business with Baghdad -- for American firms, their first major involvement in Iraq. This history is known to many in the Middle East and Europe, though few Americans are acquainted with it, much less understand it. Yet these interventions help explain why United States policy is viewed with some cynicism abroad. George W. Bush is not the first American president to seek regime change in Iraq. Mr. Bush and his advisers are following a familiar pattern.
