POPSFLY | Don't cry for Conan Seems that the buzz won't go away about the Tonight Show mess at NBC. Notwithstanding guest Robin Williams epitaph for Conan on last night's show, the world should not cry for O'Brien. He's probably sitting in the proverbial cat bird's seat at this time. He walks with millions, got handsome severance packages for his staff, and he will probably end up as a late night comic with Fox. Tears for Conan? Please!

POPSPopeye: The Spinach Powered Sailor Turns 91 Years Old Today Segar died in 1938 at the young age of 43, although he lived to see his characters brought to life on the silver screen by Max and Dave Fleischer in the early 30s. That series of cartoons did so well that they were produced until 1957. And even more impressive is the fact that the comic strip is still in production today and has passed through the hands of six teams of cartoonists.
