POPSRosie O'Donnell Attempts to Bring Back Variety TV It's about time. Variety has been missing from our TVs for decades, and I for one have missed it. I wish Rosie lots of luck with her "audition" show Wednesday, with hopes that she will return on a weekly basis, along with other artists who are waiting in the wings for shows of their own.

POPSHunt on for Tassie bogans The term "Boonie" is used with reverence on the mainland. It refers to a great cricketer, who just happens to be short and squat (at the least), has a legendary moustache and possibly still holds the beer drinking record on a flight from Sydney to London.

POPSAlec Baldwin Praises Palin as 'Good Sport' for SNL Visit Liberal leftists have jumped on Baldwin, attacking him for supporting Sarah Palin's appearance on Saturday Night Live. Alec says she was "a good sport." Palin loved the SNL experience. She said the show was "welcoming and friendly" and "(e)veryone was so nice." Critics liked her, too.

POPSJon Stewart to Sarah Palin: "[Expletive] You." Jonathan Leibowitz....such a small man; in mentality and vocabulary. FTA: "The media has devoted hundreds of stories of late to the tenor of audience comments at McCain-Palin rallies, fretting about "rage" and "incitement" by the campaign, but the only account of Stewart's appearance is a one-sentence mention in the Boston Globe, and his abusive Palin comments are not included." I guess his Moma would be so proud.

POPSMcCain Shows Great Sense of Humor... He's a Fun Guy! McCain had Obama and Hillary rolling in the aisles at the Alfred Smith Memorial Dinner. Obama laughed in spite of himself, and Hillary seemed to genuinely enjoy the show. Obama seemed pretty stiff in his own comedy routine. He did manage a couple of laughs, but McCain was brilliant.
