Sarah Palin's top aides refused to be interviewed under oath as part of the Alaskan legislature's investigation into "troopergate." he aide refused because the Palin administration believes that the legislature doesn't have the jurisdiction to look into the matter; rather the state personnel office does, which happily happens to be under Palin's jurisdiction. Nice coincidence, eh? Of course, this NEW position contradicts Palin's initial vow to cooperate fully with the legislature. Obstacles and delaying a swift resolution of the investigation will undoubtedly serve the interests of the McCain campaign.

We cannot rely on the mainstream media to tell us what we most need to know, the truth; we cannot believe the politicians; we can't trust our electoral process; and half the country seems to be under a hypnotic spell induced by sub-rational mesmerism. Our lives are increasingly being corralled by a maniacal, irresponsible administration that uses lies and fear to rationalize its assaults on our rights and freedoms, our economy and environment

POPSThe iPhone is Apple's solution to the Enterprise Even though most every one agrees when it comes to Apple and Enterprise, the iPhone is helping Apple reach into Enterprise. Apple had only had 1% in Oct. 2006 and jumped to 4.5 just 9 months later. It is no coincidence that the iPhone was announced in Jan. 2007 and started shipping that summer. This is significant because Enterprise adoption of Mac's had been at a stand still.

However, in the context of the still ongoing discussion as to whether China should have been awarded the current Olympic Games or not, I also wonder if using the Olympics as a political football makes any sense. After all, every country, no matter its political and governmental situation, is invited to the Olympics. If no discrimination is made in the participants, why would political discrimination be made among the host? Is the Olympics supposed to be a League of Democracies, or something? Don't think so.

POPSEPA Rejects Ethanol Waiver For Texas Cattle Ranchers Scott Faber with the Grocery Manufacturers Association says more than a third of the corn crop now goes to fuel and that increases the cost of food. Faber says food prices have already risen around 6 percent and critics say ethanol hasn't lived up to its promise. It was supposed to cut pollution and reduce demand for oil. Frank O'Donnell is with Clean Air Watch. It's not often he agrees with Texas, but he does today. He says the EPA got it wrong. Frank O'Donnell: We are actually seeing more air pollution this summer than last. Now, maybe it's a coincidence, maybe not, but we've got more ethanol and we've got more smog. Groups against today's decision plan to lobby Congress to ease the ethanol mandate.

According to the report, "Oil and gas executives have not traditionally been a major source of campaign money for McCain. A breakdown of giving by the Center for Responsive Politics shows the industry falls 12th on a list of top donors, well behind securities firms, lawyers, banks, and real estate and health professionals." Now they dump big bucks into his campaign. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
