POPSClimate Change Re-visitedby
dcoda Yesterday 5:09 PM One of the books questioning current claims about global warming is called "The Climate Caper", by Paltridge. The unusual cold and snow, along with Climategate, has many of us wondering just what's going on. This book may just shed some light on the problem. From a review of the book," What is missing from this book - and it might be a positive or a negative, depending on your reasons for reading - is any mention of the fact of geological history that for the past 2.5 million years our planet has been yo-yoing into and out of ice ages (spending roughly 90% of the time in them), and the successive ice periods are deeper and colder, whilst successive warm periods are less warm; and the regular schedule has us down for another ice age right now. The book's message seems to be "The global warming claims are not a cause for concern." But that is not going far enough in my opinion. There really is a big cause for concern, namely that the alarmism is recommending exactly the most dangerous p

POPSProudly Saying NO No, I do not want us to curb our natural resource exploration for the sake of the environmentalist lobbies. We need to find and utilize more reserves of oil, coal, and natural gas. No, I do not want the government telling me how or where to educate my child. No, I do not want the government involved in my personal health care. I can take care of myself. And I will take care of family and friends who need health assistance. No, I do not support killing fetuses, regardless of their stage of development. If we are not allowed life, then liberty and the pursuit of happiness are meaningless. No, I do not support the destruction of fetuses for scientific research, no matter how important a potential discovery may be. No, I do not want illegal aliens absorbing resources and influencing legislation designed for American citizens. Everyone is welcome in our home; just come in the front door. No, I do not want dictatorships to possess nuclear weapons. No, I do not want terro

POPSSprings getting earlier; wildlife balance at riskby
tomal Yesterday 6:23 AM The research, published in the journal Global Change Biology, found large differences between species in the rate at which seasonal events have altered. Changes have been most rapid for many organisms at the bottom of food chains, such as plants and the animals that eat them. Predators have shown slower overall changes in the seasonal timing of their lifecycle events. This could spell problems, as the seasonal timing of reproduction is often matched to the time of year when food supply increases, so that offspring receive food needed to survive.

POPSNew Errors In IPCC Climate Change Report
Researchers insist the errors are minor and do not impact on the overall conclusions about climate change. However, senior scientists are now expressing concern at the way the IPCC compiles its reports and have hit out at the panel’s use of so-called “grey literature” " evidence from sources that have not been subjected to scientific scrutiny. A new poll has revealed that public belief in climate change is weakening. The panel’s controversial chair, Rajendra Pachauri is facing pressure to resign over the affair. Drafts of the reports are checked by scientific reviewers before they are subjected to line-by-line approval by the 130 member countries of the IPCC. Despite these checks, a diagram used to demonstrate the potential for generating electricity from wave power has been found to contain numerous errors. The source of information for the diagram was cited as the website of UK-based wave-energy company Wavegen. Yet the diagram on Wavegen’s website contain ....

POPSIt's A Joke Come on, Barrack, Global Warming is a cruel joke that Al Gore played on the world. You can go back to work now. See if you can figure out the college football playoff system.

POPSWater at core of climate change impacts say U.N. experts - Water is the essence of all life We are mostly made of water. By polluting the water of the earth, we pollute ourselves. And composting toilets are far more hygienic than spreading fecal matter around in precious water, and they are vastly more energy efficient. Switching over to a composting system is the kind of *social innovation* people can undertake for themselves. The capital cost would be paid in months by not having to pay sewage bills.

POPSRFK Jr. displays his ignorance - typical liberal 15 months ago this idiot is flying around the world, taking money from the gullible for speaking engagements describing how there will no longer be winter in Washington DC. This Kennedy clan of inbred imbeciles can hardly spell and yet the stupid liberals pay their $$ to hear them spout nonsense.

POPS(BusinessWeek) – Is Global Warming a “Crock of S*%t?” When Cramer heard of that blunder she wrote a letter to the IPCC, saying she was "not amused" there were mistakes in the scientific report she bases the Dutch environmental policies on. Now she is confronted with errors in the data about her own country. "This can't happen again," the minister told reporters in The Hague on Wednesday. "The public trust in science and politics has been badly damaged."

POPSHOUSE OF FOOLS Get Out And Vote The Security Counsel of the United Nations was not elected. Climate Change leaders are not elected, not democratic, not basing their decisions of science. Ponder for a moment. Why do they want your money if they can't save the world. ALL IS VANITY. Climate Change taxes are fraudulent. Don't give them your money unless they can save the world (which they can't). I believe that Kyoto was designed to keep the whole continent of Africa in a state of servitude because it thwarts it's devellopement.

POPSClimate scepticism 'on the rise', BBC poll shows - Asking divisive questions Closed questions, such as, Climate Change - True / False / Don't know, yield nothing but division. Open questions, such as, Climate Change - What is your experience, yield data which has the potential for synthesising new categories of thinking and questions. If people would admit they don't have the answers, they would become open to more questions and the learning that comes from thinking about them.

POPSArctic climate changing faster than expected The trend is towards accelerating climate change. Canada single-handed makes the situation much worse by its tar sands emissions, and its wholesale destruction of the boreal forest, the greatest carbon sink in the world. Then there is the matter of igniting the methane time bomb as the tundra melts.
