POPS"Teabagger" The term Teabagger is not very PC. Then again it would appear that most people have become less concerned with civility, and more concerned with the egocentric need to discover new terms with which to degrade and dehumanize one another. Sad that they have politicized what was once just common civility, even referring to it as POLITICAL correctness, to a point that now there is an anti-civility movement growing by adults who prefer to maintain the ignorant childishness of name-calling and incivility by invoking that it is merely exercising free speech. Of course free speech entitles us to say whatever we want, even when it is hateful, but treating others, even those with whom you disagree, with human dignity does not take away free speech, nor should this somehow be equated with communism or naziism unless one also would liken the Bible to communist doctrine. Matthew 7:12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you... one of many verses. Be civil people.

POPSLet Rev. Manning be heard!
Rev. Manning produces a daily video series in which he has repeatedly and consistently aired these views. Now it appears that the YouTube account through which he shared these videos with the public has been suspended on the grounds that his views are too controversial. Close on the heels of this obvious effort to limit his ability to communicate with the public, he now reports that he has been visited by federal agents who questioned him about statements he made regarding "the birth certificate issue" and his opinion that Obama is an illegal alien, not qualified to be president of the United States. As a result of this visit, Rev. Manning says that he expects to be arrested and charged with making threats against the president. I have followed Rev. Manning's broadcasts and statements for some time. He is forthright and outspoken in his religious and political views. He speaks with a boldness that is surely offensive to people who believe that civility requires silence even in the

POPSChicago Mayor Daley Blames Fort Hood On America’s Love Of Guns! Taking Mayor Daley at face value for a moment, is he seriously arguing for increased gun control on a military base? If there had been more guns around, this ticking Jihad bomb could have been put down a lot faster than he was. With no pogrom backlash after 9/11, no pogrom backlash after Bali, no pogrom backlash after Madrid, no pogrom backlash after London, no pogrom backlash after Mumbai, no backlash after countless other Jihad attacks, why would there be any reason to believe the reaction would be any different in this case?

POPSAmerica a Rude Nation? Debating Public Decency Experts point to a variety of reasons for the apparent fall in civil standards: 1) The recession has placed many under heavy stress 2) The rise of the internet has fostered confrontational and provocative communications in which people get used to saying things they may never once have dared to utter face-to-face. These may be conditions that allow rudeness to rear its ugly head, but they are not excuses for it. Rudeness is rooted in lack of civility. If you don’t respect other people’s ideas, opinions, equality as compared to yourself, or simply their right to exist, it will be easy for you to resort to rudeness towards that person and you will be considered uncivil. We have been losing our civility for a long time now and I believe it is due to a lack of respect for others and ourselves.

POPSObama And The “Coarsening Of Dialogue” ObamaCare supporters aren’t exactly known for their civility, either: After they had already astroturfed and busted heads at several town hall events, Obama’s Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told SEIU supporters to “keep doing what you’re doing.” A Moveon.org thug bit off the pinkie finger of a an elderly anti-ObamaCare protester at a rally. POPSYou Can Praise Him but DO NOT Oppose Him
The one was on the air again last night giving yet another speech on his plans to socialize as much of America as possible. When one freshman congressman had about all he could stand he blurted out: "you lie" and the attacks came fast and furious. No the attacks were not focused on the "LIAR" but on the one who outed him. Rep. Wilson who was sent to Washington D.C. to be the voice of his constituency back home was only saying what so many of us were yelling at the top of our lungs as well. "YOU LIE" in fact the whole speech was full of misleading and false statements. One thing was clear though, if you want to give his highness a STANDING OVATION you are more than welcome to interrupt him, but DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO not oppose 'the one' because that will not be tolerated in the hallowed halls of the joint house. Rep. Wilson you need not apologize to anyone for me. In fact I want to stand and applaud you for standing up and saying what we back home hav

POPSJoe Wilson was right I like how it was put at Instapundit, "It was a breach of decorum and civility. But someone who says “get in their face” and “punch back twice as hard” has little standing to bring that up. If you want to benefit from traditions of civility, you should respect them, and that has hardly been a hallmark of this administration, which has gone out of its way to try to demonize and shout down opponents." http://pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/84941/

POPSJoe Wilson Thought He Was At A "Mob Rule" TownHall
Hmmm, the other day I was pondering about the brainlessness within the Republican base and I have come to a conclusion about it. Some, especially media, have been giving these fools a break, acting as though they’re just normal “PASSIONATE” Americans, taking leave of their senses because they are so befuddled due to the fear of losing something that’s precious to them. BULLSHIT! Oh they’re frightened, that's for sure, but it’s not passion they’re expressing its pure unadulterated HATE! Worse than that! It’s BIGOTRY! They hate because never, NOT EVER, within their pea-pickin sized brains, did they fathom a black man as president of the USA. Not only that "THE" leader of their intolerant America! Yes, there are two Americas’ Virginia, they exist as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exists. One tolerant and broadminded, the other intolerant and narrow-minded! Sincerely, thinkingblue, from the TOLERANT USA. PS: Joe (You Lie) Wilson resides in the other USA

POPSKennedy’s Death: “One Less Socialist,” “Good Riddens”
First of all, I have to admit Sarah Palin did show some class in her thoughts on the passing of Ted Kennedy. But her followers, well, that’s a different story. It is no surprise that there are people who hated everything Ted Kennedy stood for. But to express this kind of hate upon learning he died is crass and graceless. One commenter said: "Now if we could just talk God into taking Arlin Spector, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi America would be Eutopia!" Unbelievable. A person died people. Take a break, go to your corners, show some class, and then come out swinging. Is it asking for too much to expect some civility towards the family? After all he was a fellow American doing what he thought was right for this county. I hate what Bush and company did to this country but I would not wish them dead. Maybe I’m being crass for bringing it up, but I’m preparing for the hate for standing up for him, I was no big fan of this guy after what he did to Mary Jo Kopekne and got

POPSBeat Me in St. Louis ~ Mark Steyn "Behave yourselves like your mom would probably tell you to do," Gibbs said when asked what piece of advice he would give to the demonstrators. Congressman Timeserver isn't my mom. And, if he were, I'd tell him to quit stealing my paper-route money. Meanwhile, inevitably, the usual "moderates" are getting suckered into denouncing "extremist" conservatives. (*Sic. I didn't know there were "Democratic town halls".)

POPSThis is what mob rule looks like...
This is what mob rule looks like By Michelle Malkin • August 4, 2009 10:52 PM I’ve noted the irony of the unhinged Left moaning about the “insane rage” of the Right many, many, many, many, many times. Allahpundit reports tonight that the DNC is now decrying “mob rule.” Lefty bloggers are comparing grass-roots conservatives to Holocaust deniers and waving around the moral equivalence card to smear peaceful Tea Party activists as dangers to democracy and civility (check that link and you’ll get a chuckle out of Media Matters pointing to my archive exposing anti-war fraudsters, Code Pink thieves and home stalkers, and rock-throwing moonbats as some sort of proof that supporting the law-abiding Tea Party movement is hypocritical). Please. This is what mob rule looks like: Left-wing mob shuts down speech at Columbia University… Left-wing mob shuts down speech at UNC-Chapel Hill… Left-wing mob blocks military shipments in Olympia, WA… Left-wing mob illegally tres

POPSClipmarks: NO REASON AT ALL NEEDED TO DELETE COMMENTS This was the thread that led to my asking Clipmarks for clarification on their comment deletion policy. It's official. {{Antara}}, and any clipper, is allowed to delete any comment on clips they initiate, for any reason or none at all. I personally maintain a "No personal attacks against other clippers" policy as my only reason for censoring comments. But if I just don't like you, your politics, your hair-color, your religion, your ethnicity, sexual orientation, your city of birth, the facts you offer... I can delete your comments, no consequences. The deletion pop-up reads Please only remove comments that appear to be spam or that you believe to be unquestionably outside the bounds of civility. But that's only a suggestion. I think this will lead to less discussion and a even more negativity and hostility between clippers, and I do hope Clipmarks reconsiders.

POPSThe Most Powerful 3 Words Phrases Perhaps the most important three words that you can say. Telling someone that you truly love them satisfies a person's deepest emotional needs. The need to belong, to feel appreciated and to be wanted. Your spouse, your children, your friends and you, all need to hear those three little words "I love you."

POPS Will Islam Return Obama's 'Respect'? This is an eloquent description of ecumenical civility. In reality, the experience of Arab Christians living now amid majority Islamic populations is often repression, arrest, imprisonment and death. Coptic Christians in Egypt have been singled out for discrimination and persecution. Muslim rioters often burn or vandalize their churches and shops. In Turkey, the Syriac Orthodox Church (its 3,000 members speak Aramaic, the language of Christ) is battling with Turkish authorities over the lands around the Mor Gabriel monastery, built in 397. Pakistan's recent peace deal with the Taliban in the Swat Valley puts at risk the 500 Christians still trying to live there. Many fled after Islamic extremists bombed a girls' school late last year. Pakistan has never let them buy land to build a church. In 1995, the Saudis were allowed to build a mosque in Rome near the Vatican, but never reciprocated with a Christian church in their country.
