"I believe that sending a Christmas card without referencing a holiday and its purpose limits the Christmas celebration in favor of a more 'politically correct' holiday," Brown told Fox News Radio. So he's fighting back -- he's introduced a resolution "expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the symbols and traditions of Christmas should be protected for use by those who celebrate Christmas." Under the resolution -- which, even if passed, would be without any legal force whatsoever -- the House would also "strongly disapprov of attempts to ban references to Christmas."

Aren't we all encouraged by the serious, dedicated, bi-partisan, transparent work being done by our *representatives* in Washington?? However, I believe they were surely watching the wrong sport. I guess it's not basketball season when their thoughts would be more in tuned to a 'slam-dunk' against the American peoples' wishes regarding their HealthCare bill. I watched Durbin today hammer against the American Insurance companies saying that the Government could offer the citizens a much more fair and balanced option for their health care. His main concern seemed to be the private insurances and drug company's profits. So this really is about a full-frontal attack on the free-market system, capitalism, and our choice as to who we want to entrust our insurance/health care coverage to. While they party and watch a football game during their 'negotiating session', you & I get to worry about what they are going to do to us through the ramifications of this horrible bill that they in

POPSPalin's Father: She Left Hawaii Because Asians Made Her Uncomfortable I don't like Sarah Palin, but I think Palin's father mixed his words up or was misquoted. This particular quote makes a whole lot of sense to me if "they" refers to Sarah Palin and white people, rather than Asians and Pacific islanders. In universities and colleges in Hawaii, white students are a minority, and they tend to be discriminated against quite often by the locals, so I can see how Sarah Palin would feel like part of the minority and be a bit intimidated. So I think Sarah Palin's father meant to say, "Sarah Palin felt like part of the minority as a result of the discriminatory nature of the locals, so she came home." Carry along... nothing noteworthy here.

Anyway, Beck then brings on the capital-investment adviser who sent Beck completely around the bend with his snippet on CNBC speculating that the ultimate solution to the economy would be "global government": Damon Vickers of Nine Points Capital Partners. Vickers is a longtime nutcase who in fact was coming fresh off the Alex Jones show earlier this week, expounding on this same theory. (Fun note: A year ago, Vickers predicted Microsoft was "going nowhere but down." That was when its stock price was at 13. Now it's above 30.) There's a reason the ADL officially dubbed Beck our national "Fearmonger in Chief" this week. And there's a reason militias are springing up like mushrooms everywhere.

In an exchange of gunfire, she was wounded but managed to wound him four times," Cone said. "It was an amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer." Munley's father, Dennis Barbour, is a former mayor of Carolina Beach. The coastal town is about 15 miles south of Wilmington. Fiorina charged that during Boxer's 17 years in Washington, she had passed only three pieces of legislation and written two fiction novels. "What do you say we work together to give Barbara Boxer the chance next year to be a full-time novelist?" The Boxer campaign responded immediately to the assertion that Boxer had not produced meaningful legislation in the Senate. "Fiorina is just plain wrong about the Boxer record. More than 1,000 of Senator Boxer's provisions have been adopted and enacted into law," the campaign said in a statement. POPSEPA Rules Farm Dust NOT SAFE, Must Be Regulated But the U.S. District Court of Appeals in Washington ruled Tuesday that the EPA had already provided the evidence necessary to determine farm dust "likely is not safe." Michael Formica, a lawyer for the pork council, said this means farmers now face the daunting task of proving a negative - that the dust is not harmful. Formica said his and other groups will consider a further appeal. Farmers said they will be hard-pressed to meet the standards. In a letter sent Wednesday to the EPA, Grassley wrote that compliance would be impossible because of the dust produced in farmers' day-to-day activities. Grassley also has noted that because many rural roads are not paved, particulate readings could be affected by wind gusts that constantly change.
