POPSDaily Christian Quote -- William P. White Psalm 33:1-3 1 Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful. 2 Praise the LORD with the harp; Make melody to Him with an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing to Him a new song; Play skillfully with a shout of joy. Luke 4:4 4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” Luke 11:28 28 But He said, “More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” I don't know about you, but I like heavenly music. I love harmony. In today's Christian churches we need harmony & unity.

POPSYawn... More dogma and witnessing without substance. Here he uses his lack of scientific understanding of evolution to back up his "argument".

POPSChurch removes "horrifying" crucifix Oh, and did I mention that they pretend to drink that prophet's blood in Church on Sundays (in this case it's definitely pretend, even to them, as St John's is Anglican)? Now that's really something to scare the kids with.

POPSA letter from Grandma
I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a "sunny beach"... I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I asked my teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant, he said that it was probably a Hawaiian good luck sign or something. Well, I've never met anyone from Hawaii, so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign back. My grandson burst out laughing ... he was enjoying this religious experience, too! A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, I waved to all my sisters and brothers grinning, and drove on through the intersection. I noticed I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light cha

POPSA Timely Word - Our Daily Bread
Let's be honest: It's far tougher to live as a Christian than it is to "be" a Christian. The majority of Americans who profess to believe in God identify themselves as Christians--and that's basically what it takes to "be" Christian; to declare yourself as one. Yet the evidence mounts all around that far too few people are living a Christian life. Living as a Christian is far tougher than going to church regularly, refraining from obvious social vices like ___(fill in your favorite here), or even praying and worshiping regularly. It's transforming your life, your speech, your thoughts--everything--to conform to the will of God. The reason so many non-Christians think we are hypocrites is they see so few of us living our faith. Ephesians 4:17-32 contains God's instructions to us for living as Christians should--not only forsaking sin, but serving and encouraging others--Christians or not. Do we have the courage, the strength--yea, the faith--to live as real Christians?

POPSAtheists meeting in washington Do not mix up church and religion. Out from a christian's view, an atheist is a unconscious blind-one. So was I when I was younger. An atheist fells himself well in a world of fixed clear rules. But when reality shifts they fall into depression, agression and chaos, because they can't see the guiding light which shows you the direction to swimm to to get out of trouble. But better an atheist than a satanic. Satanists are aware, but deny the truth, in order to the will of their unholy father: to lie and kill and torture, even if they're only after having enjoyd the easy part of the contract. The farer they get in, the harder they get out. But the joy would be thousand times superior within God's angels and elders, to see a sinner saved than to see a holy man walking the right path.

POPSIngmar Bergman's Dead The original article is a bit long but i liked very much one of the comments that made Bergman himself, when someone asked the following: Once, when asked by the critic Andrew Sarris why he did what he did, Bergman told the story of the rebuilding of Chartres Cathedral in the Middle Ages by thousands of anonymous artisans.

POPSFarewell Falwell - a life review from the UK From the article: He liked to lash feminists, gays and, most disgracefully, in an earlier period, civil rights leaders. When he told his fellow model of Christian piety, Pat Robertson, a few days after September 11 2001, that America had brought the tragedy on itself because it had become a nation of abortionists, sodomites and pornographers, the Religious Right’s opponents hugged themselves in joy. What more apposite proof could you have that these Christians are morally indistinguishable from the Islamist jihadists? Falwell was, in short, for most non-believers and non-Americans, the model American Christian, the perfect antihero who proves the essential evil and bovine stupidity of religious belief.
