POPSUSA Prepares to Attack Russia in 3 or 4 Years? “I would also like to pay your attention to the fact that the US Military Academy at West Point has recently launched extensive courses to study the Russian culture and language. They started teaching the Iraqi culture and the Arab language three years before invading Iraq.

POPSOIL: The Real Purpose for the Afghanistan War and Af-Pak Policy It's not about "terrorism" but an oil pipeline from the Caspian region to Pakistan, thru Afghanistan. The proof is that the invasion was planned before Sept. 11th! This fact should be sufficient to establish Motive, should it not? Now you know why the Taliban and bin Laden got fingered for 9/11, instead of Saudi hijackers, etc. "It's not going to be built until there is a single Afghan government. That's the simple answer." Bush began war in the region in Oct. 2001. May 2002 the BBC reported the immediate result The leaders of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkmenistan have agreed to construct a $2bn pipeline to bring gas from Central Asia to the sub-continent . Now look at this map of Military and Oil .

POPSNeda Agha-Soltan's Fiance Has Been Released From Evin Prison in Iran Amnesty International had been calling for Makan's release, claiming he had been ill treated in prison and subject to coercion and torture. The circumstances of his release and his imprisonment are not immediately clear, and Amnesty International has apparently suspended its appeal but is continuing to monitor Makan's situation. Others involved in the circumstances surrounding the now-famous videotaped death of the young Neda Agha-Soltan have fled Iran in fear for their own lives, including Dr. Arash Hejazi, who attended to Neda after she was shot, and the television journalist who interviewed Caspian Makan after Neda's untimely death.

POPSRussia Charges US Is Rearming Georgia
This is abut the USA, Israel and the West trying to get oil and gas from the Caspian Sea. Georgia is critical for the pipeline. Amazingly, the Georgian Defense Minister is an Israeli (!) and an Israeli general is a prime advisor to their Georgian Army and was involved in starting last year's war. U.S. troops also there, on the ground; and NATO as well, even though Georgia is not in NATO but the West is trying to get it in. This headline is made at the same time, the same day, that Russian nuke subs are reported off the East Coast of the USA, the Cold War quickly being microwaved reheated. I think we should BUY and oil and natural gas we need and invest and develop more alternative energy and our own oil reserves if we have to. I hope we don't have to listen to any more propaganda about fighting for "peace and democracy," or twist it around to make it sound like Russia is the aggressor (on it's own border, while we're 12,000 miles from home) It's another war for B

POPSRussian nuke subs off USA East Coast
It seems the USA's non-stop lifetime of foreign wars and aggression is getting some push back. With impunity the USA sails nuke subs and aircraft carriers on the coast of Iran and Iraq...did the same in Vietnam....then blames the natives when they get "restless." We're also building a missile base in Poland, on the Russian border. We got troops and funding for the Republic of Georgia...we're trying to get to the world's largest reserve of gas and oil, in the Caspian Sea. If you go into a bear's cave, imo, and start poking around, we shouldn't be surprise if the beast becomes upset. I think this...along with the renewed air flights of nuke weapons bombers near the USA...and Russian making alliances in South America...shows a new Cold War has started: Cold War Two. Or Cold War Reheated. Or we're on 'pre-heat," for the baking up of new tensions. I'd suggest we BUY any oil and gas we might need and give up trying to steal it...and make progress with alternative energi

POPSMore U.S. Weapons to Republic of Georgia?
The Caspian Sea contains the largest know reserves of Oil and natural gas. Those of us who think stealing and exploiting natural resources think this is the reason for U.S. & Israeli military support of Georgia...and the reason for Russia pushing back against Georgia recent failed attempt at expansion. Expansion? -- Expansion to consolidate it's drip on Caspian Sea oil. Expansion for the BTC pipeline (See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Baku_pipelines.svg) This has routes that would take the greatest reserves of oil and natural gas in the world from the Caspian Sea to the Black Sea and to the EU/NATO countries. Also it goes through Turkey to the Mediterranean for export. Formerly all this oil and natural gas belonged to the Soviet Union. The final major part of this plan is an underwater Israeli-Turkish pipeline to the Israeli port of Ashkelon. For more info, contact British Petroleum's (BP) CEO, Lord Browne. This is why our troops kill & die: : for BP, not

POPS Kremlin: Battles Over Energy May Lead To Wars Medvedev's predecessor Vladimir Putin, who is now Russia's powerful prime minister, often accused the West in the past of trying to expand its clout in the ex-Soviet nations and push Russia out of its traditional sphere of influence. The Kremlin has fiercely opposed NATO's plans to incorporate its ex-Soviet neighbors, Ukraine and Georgia. Russia currently controls most natural gas export routes out of the former Soviet region, but that grip is coming under growing pressure from China and the West. Intensifying rivalry for influence in the ex-Soviet region fomented tensions and helped stage the ground for last August's war between Russia and Georgia, which sits astride a key export pipeline carrying Caspian oil to Western markets. The war erupted when the U.S.-allied Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili sent troops to regain control over the separatist province of South Ossetia, which had close links with Russia.

POPSPakistan President: CIA and ISI Created Taliban The truth is a stubborn thing. They also created Al Qaeda (the "database") for Afghan Resistance to fight the Soviets, which included Osama bin Laden as their key contact point . But then Saddam Hussein was also a CIA asset and puppet dictator, until he got a mind of his own. Oh, and the U.S. also supplied Iran with nuclear technology along time ago. So much can be said, but these facts say enough. Taliban did not attack America on 9/11, and there is absolutely no hard evidence of such (or even of bin Laden, says the FBI). Ever since the U.S. began to fight them (for an oil passage to the Caspian Sea from Pakistan), they began to fight in self defense. This destroys the myth and pretext for a continuous war on terrorism in the Afghan-Paki region that says that the Taliban are a "threat to the U.S.", which is baloney, but great propaganda.

POPSKazakhstan: Government to build UFO base and alien embassy continues (at source): Fuad Gasimov, the head of neighbouring Azerbaijan’s national Aerospace Agency has confirmed this to be the case and has gone on record stating the old USSR constantly monitored alien spaceships regularly entering the water but kept this a military secret. Gasimov himself was involved in this secret monitoring of UFOs when a department heat at the USSR’s science academy. In addition to this, numerous UFO sightings occur in Kazakhstan where it is believed aliens take an interest in their massive natural resources. As recently as last year a UFO was reported as having crashed into a river in Kazakhstan.

POPSWhere's The Equivelant Outrage? 17,000 more troops to Afghanistan in a war that is still just as much about Caspian oil pipelines today if it ever was before. RIGHT??? There will be more contractors running around the country as it picks up. Also, there is NO GREEN ZONE there and little other general "cover." Jeez, you compare Bushie and Barky and, when it comes down to it, which one really would have more personal caring for troops. The questionable GW? Or the guy who is definitely culturally removed from most of the guys and gals who are probably there due to "lower intelligence", lack of skills", or not as fucking cool to be like him? You tell me! !

POPS The Promise of Gas it transects the Caucus but bypasses Russia itself, piping gas from the Caspian Sea. Lest we forget, Russia target-bombing just missed the Baku-Tblisi-Ceyhan pipeline in Georgia last August, sending a decisive message. Indeed scaring Europe off using Georgia as a pipeline route became a key Russian objective in the Georgian conflict. Bullying works, and as Russia grapples with plummeting oil and gas prices that threaten its economic viability, it's their cheapest foreign policy tool. Russia may see this as their last hope for ensuring German dependence (and much of Europe's) on Russian gas. Threats to energy supply are Russia's greatest source of leverage over European (and NATO, EU) policy decisions, even if the price for gas drops further. Ironically, lower gas prices also help Russia maintain its energy monopoly over Germany as cheap gas makes other, domestic and alternative energy sources too expensive to be attractive.
