POPSMore Fox News Lies I actually watched the episode in question and David did not urinate on the Jesus painting. The painting, which was placed adjacent to the toilet, received a splash of water/urine while David was urinating into the toilet. There is a vast difference between what was reported and what occurred. I included some comments by the "outraged" Christians who commented on this "story". Fox "News" accomplished their purpose by infuriating their gullible viewers. I feel piety for people like this who are being led around by the nose.

POPSThe Work of Dr Ward Stone It was the awesome bird photography that caught my attention and I wanted to find out a bit more about the photographer. I am sure there may be other people in New York that do more for the preservation of our Natural world, I just don't know of any. I do know Ward though. Understand my frustration when I see the Media including the company I work for going out of their way to glorify conventional celebrities like musicians and actors, who for the most part are worthless human beings as far as the welfare of the Earth and her precious animals are concerned, while a hard working champion like Dr Ward Stone is struggling to stand up to his own government as they pressure him to stop doing the valuable work which he continues to do for all our benefit.

POPSAyers Likely Ghost Wrote Obama's Memoir - Part III Ayers stated firmly, “I wrote it.” ... Was he, as she had asked, pulling our collective legs? Other sources report rumors that Ayers is very upset both about not getting any credit for helping Obama on ‘Dreams,’ and may also be put off by being summarily thrown under the bus along with Rev. Wright and everyone else who becomes an inconvenience to this President. (HT: Ace) Previously: Ayers Likely Ghost Wrote Obama's Memoir - Part II Ayers Likely Ghost Wrote Obama's Memoir

POPSState to Mom: Stop Baby-Sitting Neighbors' Kids Fortunately, it appears that common sense has prevailed. However can we expect more regulations (such as this) in all those bills Congress is rushing through while failing to thoughtfully consider them? Guess they'll have to add some amendments to this.

POPSIn Mich. Being a Good Neighbor Is Against the Law When I opened this article this morning... I thought... GOOD GRIEF, I know we live in a Topsy-Turvy Society but this takes the cake! Wacko laws aren't new, there are probably endless piles of them still on the books somewhere in this land of ours. But please give me a break...! Acting upon them even though common sense is blatantly smacking you in the face is not only beyond the pale, it takes mindlessness to another plane. Move over Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin et al... In Michigan there are regulators who oversee child care, that make you guys look like amateurs in the screwy sphere of absurdity.

POPSHey Buddy! Got Some Spare Change? A Billion? OK, so it's a dream that I see the head of DOD standing at Pennsylvania Avenue - Gates - asking people walking by for spare change to fund the wars, buying and building weapons, feathering his nest for retirement. And I say: "Sorry, I only have fare for a bus ride to Kabul and back - maybe later. Say, didn't you used to be famous? Why don't you get a job? I say. He get angry and starts yelling, "I only asked ya for a billion! Everyone has a billion!" It was embarrassing - there was some white spit on his chin.

POPSSaul Alinsky froze my ass So it turns out that the reason I had to take a bus to U of C all those years was because Saul Alinsky's Woodawn Organization opposed and had torn down an L-stop to the neighborhood? He is lucky he is dead now.

POPSSolution to Alzheimer’s patients wandering off It’s a gentle, non-punitive way of dealing with a very serious problem. My father-in-law had a condition that deteriorated his brain. Doctors refused to say it was Alzheimer’s, at first they thought it was Parkinson’s but later ruled that out. Anyway, we cared for him at our home until his death. He would wander freely so we had to block stairways and lock outside doors for fear of him wandering off. We took him to a nursing home for a week once to give us a vacation but when we learned they actually strapped him to a chair, we raised hell and vowed never to put him through that again. I was blown away when they told me that it is common practice. It sounds as though Germany has a little more respect for their elderly, or at least this one center does.

POPSSmall Plane Crashes on Approach to Teterboro Airports; 2 Survivors Found at Bus Stop
Sanil Gopinath, 42, of Rockville, MD, was "banged up, but didn't appear to be that injured," Verdi said. Both men were taken to the burn unit at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. No one on the ground was injured. Bob Gretz, a National Transportation Safety Board investigator, said the plane struck a tree after the pilot decided for reasons still unknown to abort the landing. "According to Teterboro, the runway was checked - they did not find any debris on the runway," Gretz said. "We have not been able to talk to the pilots as they were seriously injured." The plane, which was delivering blood specimens to Quest Diagnostics, a lab near the airport, was discovered in two pieces. The tail and two rear wings split from the aircraft's body. Its nose was intact but badly burned. "It's scary," said Joanne DeVito, 38, who lives nearby. "The big planes come in so low you could wave at the pilot. It shakes everything in the house."

POPSParanoid, suspicion, obsessive surveillance - and a land of liberty destroyed by stealth
AKA. life in the UK. It literally brings tears to my eyes to see a once proud nation subdued to such an extent. US and the world take heed! "Voltaire called England 'the land of liberty'. Until New Labour materialised, with its intrusive and 'character improving' agenda, that description rang true. The English preferred freedom and tolerance to ideological and religious fanaticism. The currency of our society was common sense No longer. Common sense has been replaced by officially sanctioned mistrust, mistrust that allows anyone invested with the tiniest bit of authority - often in the form of a high-visibility jacket - to throw their weight around Britain is now a place where terror laws have been used by councils to spy on people breaching smoking bans, making a fraudulent application for a Police routinely stop anyone who photographs a public building, in one instance deleting the pictures taken by a 69-year-old Austrian tourist who admired the architecture of a bus s

POPSHey Henry, How Is It Down There Under The Bus?
Clifton B., a conservative blogger, thinks the dust-up is about Professor Gates' sense of class privilege. Obama too seems to revels a wee bit too much in his authoritah. He has made little references to his superior status from time to time." Tommy Davis, a conservative Republican in N.Y.: "Whether you are an educator or a caught criminal, all citizens are supposed to cooperate with standard investigative procedure. Just because you are a published professor --- Mr. Gates --- doesn't mean a cop should 'know you who are.' Don't make your situation out to be racist just because you are subject to the law!" Veronica Foxx, a conservative in D.C., wonders: "If It Had been a Black Police Officer and a White Professor Would Anyone Be Having this Conversation? I believe What the Police Officer Did was HIS JOB. Maybe Obama Should Stick to his Job and Stop Trying to Take Care of Another one of his Budd ! Retire The Race Card Please! Not Saying There Isn't Racism In America . . .
