POPSBicycler's Dream Home Away From Home I like this one. It weighs less than I do, not counting the bike. The only thing that scares me is the Iron Lung look. I want my head inside with the rest of me. Maybe he cut that hole as an after thought that some people are longer than 5'6". Still a nice idea though.

POPSAnother item on the "Why I no longer do Burning Man" list One of the things that {{Spiritualmonkey}} and I valued about Burning Man, back when we were still doing it, was the emphasis on radical self-reliance . If you needed it, you'd better bring it; if you didn't bring it, you wouldn't have it. There are a number of reasons we no longer go, but the shift away from radical self-reliance is part of it.

POPSTop 10 Reasons To Stop Advertising With Glenn Beck Strictly speaking, CPR may not have been called for in #5. He was losing consciousness, not having chest pains. And GB gets points for offering a hand and making sure the guy didn't just smack his melon on the deck. But as someone who has done 1st aid out at Burning Man , trust me... when someone says "I'm passing out", take them at their word. Put an arm around their shoulder and (as GB did in fact do) don't let their melon smack the deck. Still a douchebag, though. ;-)

POPSSqueaky Fromme, set to marry conservative Ann Coulter Fromme promises the first thing she'll do when she leaves prison is to find a long flowery hippy dress that fits, get some new teeth, head out to the Burning Man Festival, and smoke a "big fat joint!" Fromme made headlines Monday by announcing her engagement to pundit Ann Coulter who is her legal sponsor and who she resides with while in the parole system. A November wedding is planned in San Francisco so Fromme can grab a quick visit with Charlie. Coulter surprised many fans by accepting the former cultist and Manson follower. but assured those interested that it was only because they both were single, lonely, and seeking some adventure.

POPS Friday Potpourri And now the latest money-making scheme from the left-wing press: The Washington Post is selling access to administration officials and reporters for $25,000 to $250,000. At one time, this sort of thing would be considered unethical, but under Obama-Pelosi-Reid, selling access to government officials is just more deep-dish Chicago Style government. Life imitates South Park: A woman in Florida is attacked by a woodland critter. We could have warned her, woodland critters are dangerous… "I never expected a woodland creature"

POPSLargest, Strangest & Scariest Collective Activities in the World "As humans we have a difficult time comprehending large numbers, and vast collections of people perhaps in particular. There is something simply surreal about a pilgrimage that attracts more people than the population of Texas or a festival that draws thirty thousand revelers deep into one of the harshest deserts on Earth. These three events are vastly different in terms of geography, history and purpose but are all impressive in their own way and right as these images show."
