POPSWhy are Healthcare and Military Costs So High? Theft! The word "shoddy" comes from a descriptin for civil war uniforms made from scrape wool that would fall apart in the rain. Shoddy, is an apt description for the ethics of the companies listed below, which even after paying huge fsetlements for false claims are still getting government contracts. We have met the enemy - and he is us because we continue to vote for those who will not manage and do their job.

POPSthe rise of glenn becks bizarre media melitia this is long but interesting- i have to wonder what alex jones thinks of his newly found right wing fan base too- probably just enjoying absorbing all those dollars i imagine....i don't know what to think about all of this- i read a bunch of articles the past few weeks demanding people take up arms- grow a pair and start the revolution...i can hardly stomach this mentality- case in point with what happened in this instance- all these lives gone - other lives ruined- makes no sense to me

POPSDrug Cartels & Traffickers Prompt 500 More Federal Agents @ The Border Phoenix is clearly seeing the worst of the spillover. Investigators here suspect some of the kidnappings have led to killings in which bound and bullet-riddled bodies have been dumped in the desert. In the kidnapping of the motorist earlier this month, the victim managed to escape from the house before any ransom was paid. Investigators suspect he was mixed up in drug- or immigrant-smuggling because his captors believed he could get his hands on $30,000 in cash. David Denlinger, chief of criminal investigations for the Arizona Department of Public Safety, likened the cartels to the tire business. "You don't have a manufacturer of a tire that's the one putting it on your car at the end," Denlinger said. "So what you see up here in the interior is not your formal cartel. That's pretty much ended once they passed it through the United States."

POPSLouis Theroux: Law & Disorder in Philadelphia "The new documentary is certainly his riskiest assignment yet. The BBC’s safety guidelines meant he had to wear a bulletproof vest so thick he was unable to do up his seatbelt. "But you can’t blame the production team for being cautious when you consider that there are an estimated 400 homicides a year in Philadelphia, more than 10,000 aggravated assaults and almost 40,000 thefts. "On the other hand, you might say Theroux’s style is sometimes dangerous, because it could easily backfire. In an innocent-seeming, almost boyish way he asks the blunt questions that other journalists might want to ask but don’t have the nerve.
