But then Democrats constantly use dirty tricks. I fear two things with Obama. One is if the GOP fails to elect a House majority in 2010 to keep Obama within the bounds of sanity. A GOP majority is essential for the safety of the country and the world. But even if Obama is defeated in 2012, he will just turn into an angrier version of Al Gore and Jimmy Carter. 'Big Ben," Roethlisberger, came from behind in overtime to lead his team to victory in the first game of the new NFL season. Soooo....many of us thank our God that USA football has begun again. This is a good link to it. The HD video replays are fantastic. Big Ben beat my home state's team in last year's Superbowl. How my home state's team got into the Superbowl was initially a profound mystery and great surprise to all. But, as the game showed, they had "spunk." When down, they fought back. (I always admire that in athletics we can see it so clearly). We were, six (6) seconds from a Superbowl Victory...and Big Ben drove down the field (impressive, like a tank). Six seconds to go. Touchdown needed. He threw this pass. It seemed too high. It seemed out of bounds. The receiver was surrounded by 3 highly agitated opponents -- but leaping like a basketball player, caught the ball and while his body fell out of bounds, toes of both feet 1st touched mere inches in bounds.

What you might not know it that even in this enlightened day and age of awareness...the global oceanic garbage disposal problem is growing leaps and bounds before our eyes. The pictures say it all. "We traveled thousands of miles on both vessels and we tested surface samples across that whole distance. Every single sample we came up with plastic, every single one."

POPSCourt orders Christian child into government education This is just plain wrong. Regardless of the religion. The court has overstepped it's bounds. If the girl was in some kid of harms way that would be a different story, but it sounds like she already excels. Let the courts worry about the kids who are being abused, starved and otherwise in danger and stop worrying about what religion they are being raised under. The child will have the choice to change when they leave home should they chose, or to explore other religions, etc. Personally, if I were the parent I would tell the judge where to stick the decision, and then proceed to move out of that state. I do hope the appeal works for the family, otherwise this sets a very bad precedent.

It's official. {{Antara}}, and any clipper, is allowed to delete any comment on clips they initiate, for any reason or none at all. I personally maintain a "No personal attacks against other clippers" policy as my only reason for censoring comments. But if I just don't like you, your politics, your hair-color, your religion, your ethnicity, sexual orientation, your city of birth, the facts you offer... I can delete your comments, no consequences. The deletion pop-up reads Please only remove comments that appear to be spam or that you believe to be unquestionably outside the bounds of civility. But that's only a suggestion. I think this will lead to less discussion and a even more negativity and hostility between clippers, and I do hope Clipmarks reconsiders.
