POPSAny Way these Firms Can be Experts in Everything? What these government contractors are expert at is: 1. Placing job sites in states and districts of Congressional Members who serve on funding committee for Defense, IT, and Homeland Security. 2. Have Political Action Committees that donate money to candidates on same committees. 3. Having paid representatives at every meeting in Congress or government agency that could affect their funding.

POPSFighting Fraud
To put it into perspective, ACORN received about $53 million of federal funding over the past 15 years. Meanwhile, Blackwater, the private military contractor to which the U.S. government has farmed out security duties, may owe the government as much as $55 million for allegedly failing to fulfill the terms of one of its federal contracts. Yet Blackwater (now known as Xe), a company that has five of its employees facing murder charges in a massacre of Iraqi civilians in 2007, got a $217 million contract from the Obama administration to provide security in Iraq. The former Haliburton subsidiary, KBR, got $80 million in contract bonuses to provide electrical wiring in Iraq -- wiring that has fatally electrocuted 16 soldiers and two contractors. They haven’t been defunded by Congress. According to the nonpartisan Project on Government Oversight, the biggest three defense contractors -- Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Northrop Grumman -- have been cited 109 times for misconduct since 199

POPSWhat Went Wrong With Our Economy? We're letting domestic and multinational corporations, with their uncompromising profit motive and strong connection to the military, determine the future course of our country and the world. Terrorism has replaced communism as the major threat to our lifestyle. But corporate defense contractors -- Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, and General Dynamics -- take millions of dollars from the federal treasury every DAY to produce Cold-War-era weapons, with their profits guaranteed by the American public. We're the leading seller of arms to the world. We intervene in more countries than ever before, even though studies show that intervention is tied to terrorism. Our elected representatives listen to businessmen and generals rather than to scientists, doctors, humanitarians, teachers, mothers. And we've been conditioned to believe that this is the way it must be. But it doesn't have to be this way.

POPSTime to get real The Right wing has always hated ACORN. Partially that's because the organization has been effective - especially when it comes to its battles for better housing and its campaigns to empower the poor the way we should do it in a democracy - registering people to vote. The Right wing hates it when poor people vote. Read more at: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-creamer/time-to-get-real-about-th_b_292923.html

POPSTop 100 Thieves of our tax and private dollars
Good source to find out who really are the biggest thieves from us/US. No ACORNs here, just mighty Oaks: Selling nuclear technology to Libya a few years back - Halliburton pled guilty to additional criminal charges and accepted “a criminal penalty of $1,200,000 for three violations of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act in connection with the export of the pulse neutron generators to Libya.” A Denver federal court ordered Boeing and Dow Chemical Company to pay 12,000 homeowners $926 million for contaminating their property with radioactive waste from the Department of Energy’s Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation ordered Humana Insurance Co. to pay a $500,000 fine to resolve complaints that Humana enrolled Illinois citizens into more expensive and/or duplicative health plans. GlaxoSmithKline agreed to pay approximately $3.4 billion to settle charges by the IRS that the company under-reporte

POPSWhere is the mighty oak tree? Not here. Almost too funny to get excited about. Two Blues Brothers wannabe PIs look for week before fidning someone who bites on their fake ploy. Looking for real robbers of our taxes? Try DynCorp International - they billed the government $50 million more than the amount specified in a contract to provide dining facilities and living quarters for military personnel in Kuwait. Wackenhut Corrections Corp. later became the Geo Group, which operates about 50 private prisons in five countries, including 19 in Texas- to pay $42.5 million in beating death case. And then there is Boeing... in 2006it was reported that Boeing to Pay United States Record $615 Million to Resolve Fraud Allegations

POPSHall of Saints I pride myself on being an equal opportunity hypocrisy basher. Whether it comes from the left or the right, if it looks like BS, smells like BS, acts like BS, it is BS. Being human I sometimes make mistakes and have been guilty of passing on inaccuracies as truth. Rightly so, I have been called out on them. I appreciate those who take the time to let me know when I am wrong. However, I appreciate it even more when they are not overly combative about it. I continue to welcome their insight into things I don’t know. But not knowing something is not a crime and not possessing a desire to learn is very detrimental to survival, and not willing to learn is grossly stupid. So, I will continue to stumble through life seeking truth but I refuse to participate in the fraud that these three individual do on a daily basis.

POPSKey Boeing factory goes non-union "....(along with the vastly diminished UAW ranks) has got to scare the labor bosses. They will retaliate, I am certain. And they will use their political clout to do so." Are businesses now going to join us regular people in the efforts to take back our Country? I know that once-upon-a-time unions were a God-send to the working, blue-collar class. However, like most all good things, over time they are distorted, become arrogant & greedy and end up hurting those for whom they were first created.

POPSObama Administration Policies Could Be Big Problem for Small Businesses
Textron was the single largest recipient of federal small business contracts. Textron is a Fortune 500 firm with 43,000 employees and over $14 billion in annual revenue. Textron brought in $775,773,505 in contracts through their AAI division. Other firms considered small businesses by the Obama Administration included, British Aerospace (BAE), Rolls-Royce, General Electric, Xerox, Office Depot, Staples, Dell Computer, AT&T, Hewlett-Packard, 3M Corporation, General Dynamics, Booz Allen Hamilton, Northrop Grumman, L-3 Communications, GTSI, Raytheon, Boeing and Lockheed Martin. During the campaign, President Obama promised to restore the Small Business Administration's (SBA) budget, restore the SBA Administrator to a cabinet-level position and implement the 5 percent woman-owned small business contracting goal. Not one of these campaign promises has been honored. President Obama has apparently kept his campaign promises to the super rich members of the

POPSCould Taliban 4 Hire Be Defeated by Jobs Instead of Predator Rockets? Chances are that sending a couple of dozen day-labor brokers from any city in the US to Afghanistan and the SWAT area of Pakistan, with suicases of money and guards would bring the "insurgency" to a halt in about a month! So, why won't it happen? You have to hire General Dynamics, Lockheed and Boeing as the labor contractors and then it would happen. Follow the money, follow the money, follow the money!

POPSOpposition Emerges to House's Jet Spree the legislation is taken up by the Senate in September, including Sens. John McCain (R., Ariz.,) Jack Reed (D., R.I.), Richard Burr (R., N.C.), Christopher Bond (R., Mo.) and John Thune (R., S.D.). The funding for new planes is "a classic example of Congress being out of touch with the realities of deficit spending," said Mr. Thune. The Obama administration had sought $220 million to buy four passenger jets, including two that are currently being leased by the Air Force, to replace a fleet of older planes. Before leaving town for the August break, House lawmakers doubled the aircraft order to eight, at a total cost of $550 million. A spokesman for Mr. Bond confirmed that he "opposed the funds for the jets." Mrs. McCaskill said she was lobbying members of the Senate Appropriations Committee to oppose funding for the planes. She said she has spoken to several senators on the panel who oppose the funding, including Mr. Bond.
