POPSFirekites - My New Favourite Music
Music for me is like clothing. You look in the wardrobe and at some point you scroll through and go, "nah, nah, nah etc" You might look at your whole wardrobe that way and when things are like that you know it is time to toss out the old and buy new clothes. Music is something I use a lot at different tmes, for different purposes. It is more than just reading or watching stuff - the music itself adds to the poetry of the songs. Can't help but tap my deeper inspiration through music - it allows that bird of inspiration to fly free and find new bliss. Yet, like clothing I can find myself squizzing through my CDs going, "nah, nah, nah... that's not it, that's not it..." and then I know it is time to find new music. So I have, "Firekites" are my current flavour for however long that keeps me inspired. Click the main link and you can listen to some of their music. It is chilled and very laid back, with meaning - so if you don't like music like that you probably won't like their

POPSTwitter: Part of NBA Draft History? The NBA entry draft has come a long way. When the NBA decided to hold the first draft lottery in 1985 the league was entering the height of what many consider its golden era with Magic, Bird, Dr. J, and of course MJ. I mostly remember the look on Dave DeBusschere's face when he realized the Knicks had won the lottery - the right to select Patrick Ewing. But, I think what stood out more was the broadcast, it literally looked like your local station's nightly "pick 6" studio remote...ping pong balls and all. That's it. So much interest and simply no chance for average fans to be part of the action. Fast forward to tonight. Now, you can interact with other fans, current and former NBA players, and even celebrities in real-time on Twitter...now thats what I call access.

POPSTwitter message could be cyber criminal at work Many people ask me why i don't want a lot of followers on twitter or follow a lot. Well among the reasons this is one one them in article. and number 2 is unless only going to sit at computer watching pop up tweets from those your following what good is it to be distracted every 2 seconds from the pages your reading on the internet. Same as social network sites, what good is it to have 2 gazilliion friends whom you could never possibly have time to get back to or interact with having so many. Yep call me a nut but i prefer a chosen few. Those i take interest in. Whose tweets are interesting. Not blabber mouths tweeting like a starving bird every 3 seconds. And specialty tweeters like download.com or feedmecheesy.com where i am notified of new content. I guess it's suppose to look impressive if you have lots and lots of followers. I look at them quite the opposite way..Like the old high school snobs yelling oh look at me, look at me....

POPSHo Chi Minh City Tour
One of the region's top attractions is the Cat Tien National Park, a 70,000-hectare Unesco-rated biosphere boasting a startling variety of flora and fauna. Visitors can go bird-watching, take to hiking trails, overnight in a crocodile swamp and look for signs of Vietnam's rarest wildlife. The Con Dao Islands, a 40-minute flight from the city, offer an equally attractive getaway, albeit of a tropical island flavour. A former prison colony under the French and US regimes, Con Dao today boasts largely undiscovered beaches, empty coastal roads and a healthy ecosystem complete with coral reefs and colonies of green sea turtles - one of Vietnam's best places to see them in the wild. Other fine beaches stretch just east of the gruff oilman's town of Vung Tau. Although lacking the popularity of Mui Ne and Nha Trang further up the coast, there are some sparkling gems here - particularly Long Hai and Ho Tram - for those seeking a quiet beach holiday far from the madding crowd.

POPSSnowball The Dancing Cockatoo (Scary) This cockatoo is something else. He dances to the rhythm of the beat like any well coordinated human being with the talent of dance. Watching this bird get down makes you wonder what is going on in that tiny little brain of his. There definitely is someone home. Scientist are baffled by this... see more at this site: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103629651&sc=emaf and http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8027379.stm original video on Youtube below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYMBIGTteWA

POPSPic: Goose flying upside down more: “It looks like this bird is in mid-whiffle,” he said. “When geese come in to land from a great height they partake in a bout of whiffling, this involves the bird twisting and turning to spill air from their wings and thus lowering their speed prior to landing. In 36 years of birdwatching I have seen this many times, particularly when watching pink-footed geese on the north Norfolk coast coming in to roost in the late afternoon and evening. I have, however, never seen a photograph of a bird in mid-whiffle like this. It is an amazing photograph.”

POPSThe avian flu scam Prototype for all mandatory mass vaccination schemes
This was posted by Bloomberg, a major business news network over the weekend: "The World Health Organization is set to declare the deadly swine flu virus outbreak in Mexico and the U.S. a global concern...potentially prompting travel advisories... An emergency committee of the WHO in Geneva will declare the outbreak "a public health event of international concern" in a teleconference that began at 4 p.m. today, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the meeting is confidential." If you're over 40, you've seen the "swine flu" routine before. It came out of the blue. The government created hysteria over it and tried to herd everyone into mandatory vaccinations. The vaccinations killed and disabled numerous people before they were discontinued. Here's some material about ANOTHER government/media created hysteria-hoax, avian bird flu. The mechanics are the same. This video starts slow, but is worth watching and studying.

POPSU.S. Declares Public Health Emergency So far, U.S. cases of swine flu have been milder than those seen in Mexico, where the World Health Organization has confirmed that at least 20 people have died from swine flu; health officials are investigating dozens more deaths in Mexico. CDC officials yesterday said they expected more swine flu cases to be reported as public health officials heighten their hunt for the new strain of swine flu virus, which is a mix of swine, human, and bird flu viruses. Countries around the world are watching for the virus, and scientists are scrambling to learn more about the virus and stop it before it becomes a pandemic. An influenza pandemic occurs when a new influenza type A virus emerges for which there is little or no immunity in the human population, begins to cause serious illness, and then spreads easily from person to person worldwide, according to background information from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

POPSGordo The Skateboarding Parrot Stolen From His Cage! Mireles said he believes surveillance video from a next door neighbor may have caught the culprit on tape just before the parrot was taken. Mireles said he was hit by a truck two years ago and part of his rehabilitation was exercise. That's when Mireles made Gordo the mini-skateboard. "It pressed me to walk," Mireles said. "(Gordo) was my physical therapist." Mireles said Gordo is an indoor parrot, who was only in his cage a few hours day, while Mireles went to school. "Usually, I would keep him inside in my room, watching TV," he said. "He would tell me at 9:15 p.m. to turn off the lights." Mireles said whoever stole his bird is likely going to get caught because Gordo is so well-known in the area. He also said Gordo isn't used to strangers. "They are up against a can of worms," Mireles said, "because once (Gordo) realizes he doesn't belong there, he's going to start biting."

POPSOlympics Opening Fireworks Faked It should have been obvious what the Chinese were looking for in an opening when they hired Steven Spielberg. After he bailed over Darfur (did he ever intend to follow through with the gig in the first place?) the producers stuck with their script and made the best show they could. So if some CGI shots and some lip-syncing found their way into the spectacle why is anyone surprised? Don't get mad about the cute girl who can't really sing. Get mad about the the 12-year old gymnasts. The latter have a strict code to follow that is set out by the IOC. The former is just show-biz.
