POPSBill and Melinda Gates pledge 120 million to boost African, Indian farmers Oh noez. Corporate America, Bill Gates, is dropping 120 million to help Africa and India. So liberals, this must horrify you right? Because corporations are "evil" in your nightmares or did you confuse it with an episode of "Fringe". Moan for me libs. Moan about America and whine because Americans, Bill and Melinda Gates, just blew your mind. Where's that fatty Michael Moore-on anyway? Probably sitting in Krispy Kreme or Dominoes Pizza stuffing his fat face. I know this news isn't as important as the Christians eating fried chicken at the Baptist Church, but who could compete with a horror show like that. Waaaaahhhhhh corporations......waaaaahhhhhh Christians........wahhhhhhh Rush Limbaugh.......waaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. Boohoo. Cry me a river.

POPSBill Gates Funded Dengue Fever Breakthrough
Found in up to 60 per cent of all insects, it is harmless to humans. But it has never been found naturally in dengue fever mosquitoes. The project struggled until the Gates donation arrived. A PhD student, Conor McMeniman, used super-fine needles to inject 10,000 mosquito embryos with the bacterium. "It was very technical and tedious work," Professor O'Neill said, adding that they had shown the bacterium could halve the adult mosquito's lifespan. Once an insect was infected, the bacterium would spread via its eggs to the next generation. A pilot release of infected mosquitoes could begin in Vietnam within three years. If no problems are discovered, a full-scale biological attack against the insects could be launched within five years. "We need to make sure the bacteria won't jump into any other species," Professor O'Neill said. He said Mr Gates was aware of the team's progress. "We are very lucky to have him spending his money the way he does."

POPSScientists Warn Large Earth Collider May Destroy Earth Physicists at CERN and Brookhaven National Laboratory, who underwrote the VLEC's construction with donations from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, agree that there are "some troubling variables" whenever attempting to launch Earth through the vacuum of space into a massive body of solid matter. Yet, they insist, the academic benefits of a planetary collision outweigh any risk of annihilating the Earth. While the project remains controversial, physicists agreed in late November to reconvene and evaluate the risk factor of the project after a small-scale field test, during which the Very Large Earth Collider will be turned on at 10 percent capacity, catapulting Earth into the moon at only half the speed of light.

POPSU2 Bono's bullshit: still clowning around with the rich and powerful. 1. up to the conscience and the morals of Bono to lawfully arrange his personal tax affairs as he sees fit. 2. open to Bono to use his public profile to put his personal political views to the public But, what is at the same time hypocritical, laughable and unacceptable is for Bono to have the gall to avoid taxes and at the same time chastise others (governments, individuals, corporations and supra-national bodies) for meanness in the area of aid and to hector others for loans to basket-case countries to be written off. Unless, that is, he does like Bill Gates and forms his own charitable foundation from his wealth.

POPSPermanent Presence in Iraq - NPR story I woke up to this story at 5 am. I am disturbed by the implications that this treaty will have on our already over-worked over-stressed military. I hope that Rep. Bill Delahunt filibusters the crap out of this. I should not be surprised that they are trying to get this in before the election. What a f---ing piece of work this g.d. administration is? I feel sick. The more I listen to this story the more disturbed and sad I feel about the state of this nation. Can we just bump up the elections to now? Seriously. Before the Bush Administration really f---s us up. Using other language to hide the fact that it is a treaty and that the US will have a permanent presence in Iraq.

POPSBill Gates: Satanist In Sheep's Clothes? One more quote I'd like to include, "I prided myself on having escaped the banker's Communist hoax (http://www.savethemales.ca/160303.html) but I realize now that Communism was the "plan" for my parent's generation. I fell hook-line-and-sinker for the "New Age", which was aimed at my generation. It is exactly like Communism, appealing to our idealism, but having an insidious hidden agenda." Have you ever wonder if your thoughts are actually your own thoughts or ones preprogrammed to be their by the ruling elite?

POPSCreative Commies, Gates and Marx
An interesting illustration, addressing Bill Gates' statement that copyright reformers are today's communists... well Bill, to explain it in the words of Karl Marx: "In the social production of their life, men enter into definite relations that are indispensable and independent of their will, relations of production which correspond to a definite stage of development of their material productive forces. The sum total of these relations of production constitutes the economic structure of society, the real foundation, on which rises a legal and political superstructure and to which correspond definite forms of social consciousness. The mode of production of material life conditions the social, political and intellectual life process in general. It is not the consciousness of men that determines their being, but, on the contrary, their social being that determines their consciousness. At a certain stage of their development, the material productive forces of society come in confl

POPSArab Public School opens in NY say what you like, this is actually clearly unconstitutional- separation of church and state. i dont understand the why their getting special treatment and why tax-payers in brooklyn are willing to pay for this and why bloomberg would let this go down the way it did. there are plenty, PLENTY of christion faith schools, and hebrew schools in new york...but not one of them is a public school, they're all private. no tax paying based schools for any other religion- bottom line. this bothers me as it should bother others, and all those non faith believers like myself who critique the radical christain position on social issues....just remember christians are out of the dark and middle ages- islamists seem to be moving closer to those days, at least over the past 25 years.
