Adkisson stated that he had held these beliefs for about the last ten years. Adkisson's manifesto also cited the inability to find a job, and that his food stamps were being cut. His manifesto stated that he intended to keep shooting until police arrived and expected to be killed by police. Adkisson had a waist satchel with more ammunition, totaling 76 shells of #4 shot. According to an officer who served with him at Walter Reed Hospital, Hasan spoke approvingly of the shooting of Army recruiters this past summer by a Muslim convert in Little Rock, Arkansas. Authorities also investigated Hasan as long as six months ago for internet postings discussing suicide bombings and other attacks, though they have not yet determined definitively if he was the author of those posts. One of those posts was a blog entry that deified suicide bombers as being similar to soldiers who throw themselves on hand grenades in order to save the lives of their fellow soldiers. A cousin, Nader Hasan, builds a picture of the shooter as a bullied Muslim who was a good person who did not even like weapons, was conflicted about his military service, and was against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. But postings that are thought to be Major Hasan’s don’t match the portrait of a soldier who was conflicted. They present us with a picture of someone who housed beliefs that

Hood suspect reportedly shouted `Allahu Akbar' At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades. Investigators had not determined for certain whether Hasan was the author of the posting, and a formal investigation had not been opened before the shooting, said law enforcement officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the case. The FBI, local police and other agencies searched Hasan's apartment Thursday night after evacuating the complex in Killeen, said city spokeswoman Hilary Shine. She referred questions about what was found to the FBI. The FBI in Dallas referred questions to a spokesman who was not immediately available early Friday morning.

The assumption that the tea party movement is a wing of the republican party when they are just as disgusted with big government republicans as they are with big government democrats. She called Scozzafava a moderate. She, like other party loyalists, assumed it would be better for republicans to win with a liberal candidate than lose with a conservative. It's time people stop voting for letters following someone's name and vote for the candidate closest to their own beliefs. It isn't a two party system when both parties are on the same side. The fact that Scozzafava endorsed the democrat was proof that conservatives were right and she was the wrong person for the job. Scozzafava winning would have been just as big a loss for conservatives as Owens winning.

There are fundamental differences between the philosophies of Republicans and Democrats. There exists certain core beliefs about the role of government and the individual that are as different as night and day. Republicans believe it is the people who should have the freedom to determine their own destiny, free from overdue government intervention, regulation and control. They believe in lower taxes and smaller government. Republicans believe in "home rule," allowing local governments, closest to the people to have the loudest voice. Republicans believe that government exists to serve the people in the ways the private sector cannot. They believe in "the velocity of money," that is to say, they believe that every time a dollar changes hands privately, it helps the overall economy and creates more revenue through taxes to the government. Democrats, and more specifically the current administration, believe that it is the role of government to "care for" the population in every r

In their world up is down, down is up, and after smearing poop on their own face they point at other people and call them shitheads. It's a world of redefining terms to suit their needs, cherry picking the foundation of their religion (the bible) to shore up their beliefs, and a pathological need to project their own requirements of blind faith on other people. It's the only way they can level the playing field when they know what irrational nuts they sound like when trying to defend their claims. Their only recourse - an ad hominem false equivalency approach in order to appear equal.

Within their closed ideological bubble the conservatives feel quite certain that they have achieved a deep psychological insight by recognizing that latent Adolph Hitlers lie just beneath the surface of everyone from Teddy Kennedy to Robert Redford and Jane Goodall. They actually sit around and pat themselves on the back for their penetrating aptitude at psychological analysis. This is exactly how stupid progressives and Democrats appear to culturally conservative Americans when they label as “racism” beliefs that these Americans know are in reality vastly different and more complex.

They claim we can draw no legitimate conclusions about Obama’s own beliefs from the above facts concerning his associations. In so doing, they are in effect charging his detractors with committing a reasoning error logicians call a “Circumstantial Ad Hominem Argument.” They thus gainsay his opponents’ claims that because of his own special circumstances—in this case that Obama has had ongoing relationships with many known Marxists—he must share certain specific views (namely, Marxist). They argue that these relationships are, in fact, utterly irrelevant to his actual beliefs and should not be cited as evidence of them.
