POPSGallery: It's Alive! Nick & Vanessa Scare Us Back-from-the-dead couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo threw a private Halloween bash (put together with party planner Marley Majcher), which was monstrously successful. At least, at least if the guest list is any indication. Joining Mr. & Mrs. Stein (see above) at their bash were Kate Beckinsale, Tommy Lee, Stacy Keibler, Kara DiGuardi and Wilmer Valderrama. At one point Hilton, who was dressed like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz (as was boyfriend Doug Reinhardt), grabbed the microphone and announced to partygoers, "This is the sickest Halloween party in the world, I love you guys!"

POPSWH: “FOX News Wing of the Republican Party” Of course they were......Do these people even live in reality? What about when CNN Protected Dear Leader Obama by fact checking Saturday Night Live? Then there was CNN’s Susan Roesgen display of hypocritical superciliousness. And lest we forget there was Janeane Garofalo’s appearance on Keith Olberman. The actress went on to bash the GOP on MSNBC Thursday because it had “crystallized into the white power movement” as well as Fox News, which she said has captured the “Klan demo .” Yep all networks other than FOX are completely unbiased. As long as the Obama admin keeps pretending that is the case, all will be well in the Obama fantasy land of unicorns and rainbows. I am not saying FOX does not tend to lean right but what I am saying is that all the rest mostly lean left. H/T Freedom Eden Transcript excerpts courtesy of: NewsBusters

POPSThe Two Faces of Granny Rictus Botox "And remember her promise of the most transparent, ethical Congress in history. Try not to laugh so hard, Mr. Rangel and Mr. Murtha. You might drop your bags of money. Another lying, hypocritical progressive Obamacrat. I know it's "dog bites man," but there you are"

POPSFox News Has Hired A Supporter of Convicted Cop-Killer As An"Analyst" and "Contributor" and "started a literacy project that uses hip-hop culture to increase school engagement and reading skills among high school students." It also says that he works with the ACLU Drug Reform Project, "focusing on drug informant policy." The ACLU favors legalization of all drugs. James Pera, a retired San Francisco Police Sergeant who saw first-hand the violence of the BLA and the Weather Underground, asked, "Why does O'Reilly pander to this tool of the left? I don't know. If they can bash the Obama Administration for not vetting left-wing radical Van Jones, shouldn’t they explain how Marc Lamont Hill was hired and who hired him?

POPSHope in Toledo. May it Rub Off Here. I admire their courage, but nothing will change, the school administration is equally, if not more liberal than the professors. If anything they're jeopardizing their grades and therefore their futures, there's no way to liberate academia from the left. The best thing we can do is prepare our kids for the inevitable indoctrination...."> (quote from http://www.weaselzippers.net/blog/ )

POPSIt's time to embrace American royalty About this latest hiring by NBC, Atrios observed: "if only the Villager values of nepotism and torture could be combined somehow." The American Prospect's Adam Serwer quicky noted that they already have been: "Liz Cheney." Liz Cheney is really the perfect face of Washington's political culture, a perfect manifestation of all the rotting diseases that define it and a pure expression of what our country has become and the reasons for its virtual ruin. She should really be on every political TV show all day every day. It's almost as though things can't really be expressed thoroughly without including her. Jenna Bush as a new NBC "reporter" on The Today Show -- at a time when every media outlet is firing and laying off real reporters -- is a very nice addition though.

POPSNew website shows low-income Californians how to reduce medical costs
More: Since the country’s first Hospital Fair Pricing Act took effect more than two years ago—Assembly Bill 774––California hospitals are required to offer fee discounts and are also capped on what they charge patients who typically face their highest fees: the uninsured.… many hospitals have complied with California law—“Some are doing it well, some are not”—but two nagging problems continue. First, rural hospitals, or those not affiliated with large chains, frequently don’t mention the mandated discounts. Second, obtaining the discounts can be difficult. The Web site was created “not to bash hospitals,” but to offer patients their options under the law.… For patients, medical bills are causing rising debt loads and even medical bankruptcy. Consumers who buy catastrophic health-insurance plans and limited “junk” insurance often find that their plans have strict limitations, which often saddle them with enormous debt….

POPSDon't Tread on U.S. Do they mean Code Pink which never missed an opportunity to bash the military and our “terrorist” former president? How about ACORN whose tactics have earned that organization indictments–and convictions? How about the New Black Panther Party whose attempt to intimidate voters in Philadelphia was referred to the Justice Dept.–which inexplicably dropped the case? How about MoveOn.org which called General Petraeus General “Betrayus” for “crime” of dedicating his life to protecting America? And who can possibly forget the countless number of left-wing college students on campuses across the country who have intimidated, harassed–and attacked–conservative speakers daring to exercise their First Amendment rights? Hypocrites one and all, but they pale in comparison to an administration headed by a former community organizer not only denigrating community organizing, but creating a website, flag@whitehouse.gov for Americans who wish to rat out their fellow Americans f

POPS “Shame Located?” LA Weekly seems to be alone in denouncing it as racism … “the only thing missing is a noose” … which while a bizarre stretch is also a little surprising, given the “SOCIALISM” part, which we were informed during the campaign is code for black, on top of the shocking use of white face imagery. Maybe this should be seen as a step forward in post-racialism. Or maybe, mindful of what happened to the last guy who screamed racism, the usual suspects are afraid they’ll be photographed drinking beer with Joe Biden. old code word for black http://voices.kansascity.com/node/2493 Ha! Treacher has cartoon bubble fun with the Joker and the Dark Knight … “Why so spurious?” I recommend linking to Jim Treachers post http://jimtreacher.com/archives/002100.html Looks like this thing’s been around since April, anyway. Unclear why it suddenly became an issue. (More on this and other recent lefty hypocrisy and race-baiting compliments of HotAir.)

POPS Seize Matters The 39-year-old graffiti artist Andy Seize is trying to appeal to all the adult-kids out there who will take pleasure in engaging with giant murals that mash-up the likes of Buzz Lightyear and Howard The Duck. His past work has graced everything from Reebok TV advertisements to community murals on Old Street. He also undertook the bizarre task of painting Lorraine Kelly's portrait while being suspended 60ft in the air on the South Bank. With his first solo show Size Matters, which opens tonight at BASH studios, he comes back down to Earth and returns to his love of cartoon characters and comics. Here, the artist talks about his cartoon faves and the evolution of graffiti... 'Size Matters' runs for four days, from Friday July 10 to Monday July 13, 12pm-4pm, at BASH Studios, 65-71 Scrutton Street, London, EC2Aa

POPSEconomic Credulus that began on President George W. Bush’s watch. But with Obama’s poll numbers slipping on economic issues, Republicans want to lay the economy at the president’s feet. You know, I’m pretty sure in earlier an time, the Associated Bush-bash would have stuck in a phrase along the lines of ”deeply unpopular economic policies” in the second or third graph, rather than tucking that vague polling data reference way down the bottom, and then just using it to suggest cynical Republican political maneuvering. Never mind. I know Nobel laureate Paul Krugman is demanding more national debt. I have a different idea. Forget a second stimulus. If they haven’t managed to even start paying out the first one. How about a Re-Thinkulus. Since it turns out that subsidizing government hacks instead of cutting them, and pouring money into agenda-pushing wishful thinking projects isn’t doing it, it’s a great opportunity to start doing what they should have done in the first place. . . . .
