POPSMoscow calls for anti-U.S. alliance While Russia has insisted it was not intending to supplant NATO, Mr Medvedev made it clear that the US-dominated alliance was partly responsible for the war in the Caucasus by its failure to rein in Georgian "aggression". This is the result of the U.S. throwing its weight around the world for far too long. It is human nature that if one person is constantly directing policy onto everyone else then that person is going to be knocked down for being perceived as a bully. The time has come for the U.S. to relax its role as self appointed world police and let other nations handle their own affairs or we will be “uninvited to the party”. Hopefully, future U.S. presidents will bury this old school ‘might is right’ mentality that Bush/Cheney revitalized when they took office.

POPSShort Ban's So-So Results No-short stocks caught up (or down) with the rest of the S&P500, but mainly thanks to a 10% drop the day the ban expired.

POPS"Blueprint For Change" Opens with a Lie. Too Good to be True ought have you all the more vigilant. The Marxist agenda played out .And all wrapped up in a bow which plays on peoples deepest insecurities: The fear of what may be inside them. Young,well-to-do suburban whites who never went across the railroad tracks in their life MUST prove to themSELVES that they are not racist. So - no matter what - ignore the questions, shut down the intellect (while claiming superior intellect) and , "Oh my God, never let it be said that (tsk) I, of all people - could be racist. Hey, look, I voted for Barack Obama."

POPSGreed wins out again Of course, the MPAA neglects to mention that they are violating consumers' rights by denying them the ability to make backup copies of media they buy. Unless the copies are sold to other people, copying media that you buy isn't a violation of copyright. Of course, the recording industry and MPAA wants to gloss over that fact, and use money and lawyers to rewrite the law the way they want it.

POPSUS Approves Nuclear Deal with India compare this to the US refusal to permit Iran to have nuclear civilian technology, even thought it complies to a higher standard than India apparently. Also... India has said it retains the right to conduct nuclear tests and this: allows India to expand its nuclear power industry without requiring it to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) as other nations must. And India is next door to Pakistan, where the US is worried about terrorists.

POPSFierce fight over Arizona anti-gay amendment Arizona failed to ban same-sex marriage in 2006, so now they are trying again. The religious right is out full-time trying to rev up the hatred of gays and lesbians in order to make sure we do not acquire the same civil rights every other citizen possesses. There is good reason to believe this vote will fail again, but just for the record, Senator McCain is fully in favour of this ban on gays having equal rights. Any gays out there planning to vote for McCain, puhleeze think again.

POPSChina's Space Mission a Success.... at who's expense? How much milk did they taint for this? How much did they scrimp on quality for exportation to other countries in order to afford their space rendezvous? I bet.... if we were to ban certain imports from China, it will be a long time before they are seen in space again. grrrrr

POPSWhy Americans Can't Get US Oil That last statement seems to be true. I rarely come to clipmarks that I don't see articles detailing the harm of wind, solar, nuclear, etc.
