POPSThe master grafter: 101 varieties of fruit on one tree More: His modified trees are fantastic monuments to the potentials of science. Until a windstorm this fall dashed the tree to pieces, Real had a 53-in-one persimmon. His cherry tree is a 20-in-one. His Prunus rootstock bears 50 plums and prunes. With his peaches, Real concedes, “I got lazy.” The tree produces 10 types of peaches, five nectarines and an almond. His avocado tree now bears seven cultivars, including Bacon, Hass, Mexicola and Mexicola Grande. Most recently, Real fitted the enduring tree with a branch of Daily 11, a variety whose fruits can weigh 11 pounds. Then there’s that amazing 14-foot-tall citrus tree with its astounding 101 cultivars. From marble-sized calamondins to 5-pound mellow gold pomelos, the fruits constitute 24 species in the genus Citrus , with one or more ripe at all seasons of the year. The tree bears such rarities as sunquats, lemonquats, mandarinquats, trifoliates, citrons, yuzu and sudachi.

POPSThe great orange juice scam I witnessed not once how kid's behavior changing after drinking "Sunnydale" - yellow punch with unimaginable mixture of poisonous chemicals, disguising orange juice flavor. No any Ritalin will be able to repair all that damage to young body and mind. And in fact even famous Tropicana juice is useless, if not also damaging... And what we can tell now about countless beverages around? My rule: if it is even slightly doubtful - don't consume it. Our healing ability is not endless and even minor damages, accumulating, result in something really threatening. Is it worth to try? That's how all diseases starting...

POPSFight On! Leaves Him No Choice But To Win in Afghanistan Well, for starters because it’s considered Dem accompli … not least by the GOP. There’s an element of cold harsh reality in that. This is an electorate that remained largely asleep and disinterested when lawmakers, taking their cue from the 70-30 vote against a ballot measure to phase out the income tax, raised taxes. I would have thought the GOP would be more interested in kicking off the 2010 election season with a good showing, if not a win, in bluest Mass. Those are sheep guts that all the soothsayers would want a look at.

POPSAtv camping: Kids Just Want to Have Fun on Their Atvs
Kids just want to have fun on their ATVs ATV riding can be really fun and unfortunately, dangerous too, if precautionary steps are not taken to ensure that you have a safe ride – especially for kids. Here are some safety measures to take when your kids wants to go ATV riding: a. Never let a kid under 16 years of age ride an adult ATV. There are specially designed youth ATVs for young riders. b. Always make sure that the ATV rider is wearing his or her helmet. Do not let them ride on their ATVs if they are not wearing their helmet. c. ATVs are built for off road riding – so don’t try to be adventurous and ride it on paved roads. d. Most ATVs are designed for one rider – that means, you do not carry any passengers at all. e. Take lessons on safety riding for ATVs. It doesn’t hurt to learn more about the safety issues of riding an ATV. Here are some great fun ideas on ATV riding: a. Riding around the backyard – this is one great way to keep an eye on your kid while he’s rid

POPSWinter Bird Feeding Provide cover. Birds need shelter from harsh conditions, and vegetation in your yard will help to furnish it. Don’t prune back dead vegetation like vines and stalks – these provide both valuable winter cover and nesting material for birds in the spring. Balconies have a special opportunity to attract nesting birds as they provide great shelter. Add habitat in your backyard in the form of a brush pile, which may attract foraging birds and mammals, and even over-wintering reptiles, amphibians and insects.

POPSGore's Presentation on Climate Change Draws 200 Protestors Organizers allowed the media to cover only the first few minutes of Gore's presentation. In addition to his nonprofit advocacy, Gore is a partner in a venture capital firm that finances "sustainable" and alternative energy businesses, prompting some critics to accuse Gore of promoting environmental policies that will fatten his bank account. "Cap & Tax " Don't Be Fooled: Al Gore Will Make billions," read a sign carried by Alan Tudor, who drove from Tampa to attend Saturday's protest. "Gore's Favorite Green Product? Your money in his pocket," said another sign. www.palmbeachpost.com http://tinyurl.com/yhny8o2 Note: TinyURL tool will ask you to click to “ Proceed to this site ”
