and 160 overseas embassies. Until yesterday, the EU could not annex additional policy areas without a new treaty, which needed to be ratified by all its constituent nations. Now, it has the so-called “passerelle” clause, or self-amending mechanism. Parliament, in other words, no longer has the final say on extensions of EU jurisdiction. The EU derives its authority, not from its 27 members, but from its own foundational texts. Until yesterday, Britain could simply walk out of the EU by abrogating the Treaty of Rome and repealing the 1972 European Communities Act. Henceforth, it will have to go through the secession procedure laid down in Lisbon. In other words " in the minds of Euro-lawyers, at any rate, if not of British constitutionalists " the EU gets to settle the terms on which its members are allowed to leave. Formal sovereignty has been shifted from the national capitals to Brussels. Daniel Hannan MEP at Telegraph Blog http://bit.ly/5bRm5q

POPSPOLICE FORCE SUED BY OFFICERS WHO CLAIM THAT 'RADIOS' ARE MAKING THEM ILL "Lancashire was the first force to pilot the new Airwave technology and TETRA radios in 2001. At the time, the federation’s local branch reported 176 users had gone sick. The Health and Safety Executive was called in but declared there was no link. The Government spent £2.9billion introducing the system to the 53 forces in England, Scotland and Wales." What is not metioned in the report, but is highlighted within the comments, is that these radios cause cancer. Don't suffer in silence, speak out, as is your right.

POPSVolcano erupts in Congo The wildlife authority said the Nyamuragira eruption was likely to destroy habitat for 40 chimpanzees on the volcano's lower slopes. Virunga National Park is also home to 200 endangered mountain gorillas, but they live on the slopes of the Mikena volcano to the east of Nyamuragira. The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History calls Nyamuragira the continent's most active volcano, with 42 eruptions since 1885. Its most recent eruption ended in December 2006.

POPSObama gives International Police immunity from Constitution and Jurisdiction in US exempted Interpol from disclosure of archived document in response to Freedom of Information Act requests filed by U.S. citizens. Think very carefully about what you just read: Obama has given an international law enforcement organization that is accountable to no other national authority the ability to operate as it pleases within our own borders, and he has freed it from the most basic measure of official transparency and accountability, the FOIA. giving Interpol free rein to act within this country could subject U.S. military, diplomatic, and intelligence personnel to the prospect of being taken into custody and hauled before the International Criminal Court as "war criminals."

POPSJUNK SCIENCE revisited There are no common physical laws between the warming phenomenon in glass houses and the fictitious atmospheric greenhouse effects, (b) there are no calculations to determine an average surface temperature of a planet, (c) the frequently mentioned difference of 33 degrees Celsius is a meaningless number calculated wrongly, (d) the formulas of cavity radiation are used inappropriately, (e) the assumption of a radiative balance is unphysical, (f) thermal conductivity and friction must not be set to zero, the atmospheric greenhouse conjecture is falsified.

POPSWHERE in the Constitution does it say: Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) said there is “no place in the Constitution” that grants Congress the authority to require that Americans purchase health insurance, as both the Senate and House health care bills do. She added that the health care bill recently passed by the Senate is a “trampling of individual rights.” Senator Hutchinson said: “There is no place in the Constitution that allows this trampling of individual rights, and I am going to make a point of order that it tramples on the 10th Amendment as well, the rights of states to regulate insurance. And, in my state, we have a self-insurance plan for state employees and teachers, and the federal government now has the right to intrude on that – and it’s not in the Constitution either.”

POPSAnother Bailout – GMAC To Get More Money GMAC says they want to prepare itself to repay the U.S. Government. Is taking more tax payer funds a necessary step before repaying the Government? I don’t know what kind of math GMAC is using to come up with an idiotic statement like that, but if it is the same math they use to balance the books at their retail bank (Ally Bank) then I would run as fast as I could away from that one. The mortgage-related write-downs to be announced as early as this week will affect assets held by ResCap and Ally Bank, GMAC’s online bank. Ally Bank was created after the company received approval in late 2008 to convert to a bank holding company and qualify for government money under TARP. The arrangement left the Federal Reserve with regulatory authority over the parent. From the Ally Bank web site: Who we are We are Ally Bank, built on the foundation of GMAC Financial Services. And with that experience we’ve learned that these times demand change .....

POPSMassive Anti-War Protest*** March 10, 2010*** Plan to attend or organize your own in solidarity. Individual protests are fine, but when we come together and walk our talk, we force authority to pay attention. If we maintain our focus and momentum, together we can bring OUR government to heel Will there be threats and resistance and backlash from the Military-Industrial Complex Machine? You betcherass there will. So. Be prepared. Make sure your friends and relatives support and watch out for you in case of arrest. People cannot be disappeared when they have support from their community. Are you willing, but don't have the bucks? Get your friends and neighbors to chip in and send you as their representative. Solidarity, remember? Maybe your community can send a group to represent them, as an investment in taking back our voice in the government. It's time, people!

POPSWhy Does Interpol Need Immunity from American Law? Being constrained by the Fourth Amendment, FOIA, and other limitations of the Constitution and federal law that protect the liberty and privacy of Americans is what prevents law-enforcement and its controlling government authority from becoming tyrannical. On Wednesday, however, for no apparent reason, President Obama issued an executive order removing the Reagan limitations. That is, Interpol's property and assets are no longer subject to search and confiscation, and its archives are now considered inviolable. This international police force (whose U.S. headquarters is in the Justice Department in Washington) will be unrestrained by the U.S. Constitution and American law while it operates in the United States and affects both Americans and American interests outside the United States. by Andy McCarthy

POPSObama Executive Order Cedes US Sovereignty, Citizen Rights to Interpol
In 1972 the sitting Interpol President was Paul Dickopf, former Nazi SS officer (SS #337259). Photo of Dickopf on bottom of previous page. Nudge, nudge folks… This seems a minor change but let us break it out for you as we see it. Let’s look at the section from Executive Order 12425. Here’s the text of 2(c), which this Executive Order now has applying to Interpol: (c) Property and assets of international organizations, wherever located and by whomsoever held, shall be immune from search, unless such immunity be expressly waived, and from confiscation. The archives of international organizations shall be inviolable. This now says that Interpol is no longer subject to the Freedom of Information Act. Their premises or staff can no longer be searched either. Their files are not subject to legal subpoena or discovery. Our government could just hand documents and files over to Interpol and Americans would no longer have access to them. Interpol can legally keep

POPSA Christmas Day Sermon 1758: Christmas a "Superstitious" Custom
They preached-up "liberty" from this custom! This renowned Presbyterian pastor just prior to the American Revolution demonstrates the "superstition" of Christmas, while preaching about the incarnation or nativity of Christ, entirely different than is done today. He expands: Chrysostom, who lived in the fourth century, has these words, “It is not yet ten years, since this day, that is, Christmas, was plainly known to us ;” and he observes, the custom was brought to Constantinople from Rome. Now since this day was not religiously observed in the church in the first and purest ages, but was introduced as superstitions increased, and Christianity began to degenerate very fast into popery; ought not we to imitate the purity of these primitive times, and retain none of the superstitious observances of more corrupt ages? 18th century American society also did not commonly employ decorated trees (a pagan custom) if they did observe Christmas.

POPSObama Approves Giving at Least $30 Billion more to Israel The budget also pledges $500 million in American aid to the Fatah Party’s Palestinian Authority. This aid is contingent on certain requirements, including that the group recognize Israel. This funding is distinct from any funding the CIA may give the Palestinian Authority’s security forces, which would be secret. So the money goes from the taxpayer, to Israel and then back into the pockets of the US military industrial complex. What a sweet set up, eh? *Capitalism* at it's finest. They must be laughing all the way to the bank. *LOL* $30 Billion. Cough up, bend over and smile, USA. .:)

The other way around we might still be living in caves. Who is really to say. Remember we are speaking here about religion.

POPSHealth Care Bill Could Face String of Legal Challenges “I don’t believe Congress has the legal or moral authority to force this mandate on its citizens,” Ensign said in a statement, raising what’s known as a “constitutional point of order.” Such procedural challenges are rare and typically lead to a vote. The non-profit Fund for Personal Liberty, as well as a Virginia-based group called the 10th Amendment Foundation, already have threatened to file suit in federal court over this issue if the health care bill passes. The Constitution allows Congress to tax, borrow, spend, declare war, raise an army and regulate commerce, among other things. Proponents of the insurance mandate point to the Commerce Clause in arguing that Congress is within its rights to require health insurance and dismiss such potential legal challenges. But foes say the across-the-board requirement is too broad.

POPSBusy Week for Chavez "I guess that Chavez has never heard of satellites. We don’t need “spy planes” to fly over his stupid military bases. Also today, the Venezuelan government released it’s latest list of Venezuelans who are ineligible to run for public office - including two former governors who opposed Chavez during their tenures. Meanwhile, oil production and manufacturing continue to fall. A national police force will probably fix all of that - well, it’ll at least fix dissent."

POPSFirst Jesus-era house discovered in Nazareth
The archaeological find shows how different it was 2000 years ago: There were no Christians or Muslims, the Jewish Temple stood in Jerusalem and tiny Nazareth stood near a battleground between Roman rulers and Jewish guerrillas. The Jews of Nazareth dug camouflaged grottos to hide from Roman invaders, said archaeologist Yardena Alexandre, excavations director at the Israel Antiquities Authority. But the hamlet was so far off the beaten path that the caves were apparently not needed, she said. Based on clay and chalk shards found at the site, the dwelling appeared to house a "simple Jewish family," Alexandre added, as workers carefully chipped away at mud with small pickaxes to reveal stone walls. "This may well have been a place that Jesus and his contemporaries were familiar with," Alexandre said. A young Jesus may have played around the house with his cousins and friends. "It's a logical suggestion." The discovery so close to Christmas pleased local Christians.
