Racist Acts at Sarah Palin Rally
DanaGarrett
by DanaGarrett  Yesterday 2:45 PM
As predicted the McCain/Palin strategy of attacking Obama as "other than us" is reaping great dividends among racists. Only idiots didn't know that such swill would feel emboldened by such an approach.

Branchflower Report: Contradicts Itself: Ignores Facts and Law
merrie
by merrie  10-11-2008    1
No, indeed, Sen. French and Mr. Branchflower dearly hope most Americans won't look past the headlines generated by this ridiculous farce of a report. French and Branchflower hope that Americans will be misled into thinking this report is from someone whose judgment or opinions actually count for something — instead of being from a hitman hired to complete a political hatchet job, as it actually is. This report changes absolutely nothing, except that it will be manipulated politically by Obama supporters and Palin haters in an attempt to drive more potential voters into taking sides with Trooper Mike Wooten — a proven child abuser (Tasered his own 10-year-old stepson on a lark) . . . . UPDATE Even the Anchorage Daily News is misrepresenting I just received an email update from it in which it claims that "Today Alaska legislators found Palin did abuse her power in the 'Troopergate' controversy." That's absolutely false — the Alaska Legislature is not in session

Bush Denounces 'Dungeon' of Cuba
thisnamecantbetaken
by thisnamecantbetaken  10-11-2008    3
You'd think Bush was speaking of his own dictatorial reign, eh? "Our great nation that believes in human rights and human dignity, blah, blah, blah..." Hahahaha! What a joke! Tell that to the people of Iraq or Afghanistan or the people wasting away in Gitmo! I'd bet Castro's popularity ratings are higher than yours! Bush, why don't you just STFU? Fix your own country, who is "being repressed by a handful of elites" first, before trying to impose your twisted version of "freedom", on everyone else! Lift the embargo. The age of the red scare is dead and gone. It's the red, white and blue scare, most of the world is concerned about these days...SIR!

Viewers' Perspectives...on Palin Leg Photo
jatfla
by jatfla  10-10-2008    1
It's what I would expect from the European press...meaning the ridiculous shots of women tennis players during major tournaments, and what you'd see from the tabloids at the grocery counters. I guess the Reuters photographer was bored or thought he'd try a new perspective. Have we seen Michelle's ankles with young men staring up through them?

Exposing global injustice
zalisan
by zalisan  10-10-2008    2
From the film maker: “I chose the title, ‘Call + Response,’ because when an issue comes your way, you’re going to respond. Even if it’s inaction, it’s still a response. I think one of our greatest downfalls, as a people, is that we make excuses, particularly that we’re ‘too busy.' Well, I wanted to respond immediately; this issue just hit me." “A New York Times article first brought human slavery to my attention in 2003, just before I went on tour in Russia. When I was over there, I met several girls who were acting as translators. They told me how were getting the same kinds of offers that I’d read about. It was like 'Wow, now I’m seeing it, how do I find a way to connect immediately?'" “I realized that two things were needed: re-learning the meaning of slavery was one. We’ve relegated it to history, as though it no longer exists but when people are sold against their will it’s the same thing and alive now more than ever. The second thing is...

CBS News Reporter Criticizes Obama Campaign
pkronfield
by pkronfield  10-9-2008    2
Amazing! This guy probably will lose his job for criticizing Obama's lack of organization and elitism. After all, CBS is part of the Obama propaganda arm. Why does Obama's aircraft smell bad? Chitlns? Naw - the elite don't eat what the common folk eat. Think about it. Someone who hangs around with shady characters and doesn't notice filth, probably wouldn't know if something has a bad odor. I'll tell you this - Obama and Biden have a bad odor, and I hope America wakes up and notices that stench before they cast their votes.

"Terrorist!" "Kill him!" - Anger growing at McCain rallies

Yes. Words have consequences. Innuendo and lies have repercussions. The McCain/Palin mud slinging to "low information" voters might be effective but at what price. People of conscience should hold nothing but disdain for such rhetoric.
