POPSProgressives Angry With Obama As I said yesterday, I am noticing more and more people questioning their "appreciation" of Obama. I'm not far off either, as it is really becoming popular opinion when more and more Progressives (i.e. Liberals, Democrats) start writing and conveying their disappointment in this assumptive leader. Obviously their dismay is for different reasons than my own so I wouldn't listen to them too much; after all they are the ones that helped get us in this mess by convincing the uninformed to vote for him in the first place. But it sure is fun to read pieces like this:

POPSRiots in Iran If the last paragraph I excerpted pans out into more than "scattered reports," then the theocracy will be on its last legs. Fraternization of the forces of order with the people they're supposed to be putting in order has been the death-knell of regimes from that of Louis XV to Czar Nicholas II to East Germany (1989).

Select a drawing, select a message (or write your own) and type in your name and city. I encourage every Clipper, regardless of personal politics, to send a message of thanks for the brave men and women that are away from their families right now. It takes 10 seconds. Thanks!

POPSThe New Yard Signs Are Here! The New Yard Signs Are Here! In this way, you can show your sincere appreciation for their act of voting us into a depression. For voting in favor of an economic catastrophe. After the election, I recall a bitter taste in my mouth. Scrutinizing my neighbors. Questioning them, mentally, as to their motives. More than a year later, the Obama bumper stickers and signs have all but disappeared. The economic disaster, endemic to any Socialist strategy -- and especially that of Alinsky's acolyte -- is apparent to all but the most obtuse observer. Doug Ross http://bit.ly/78k5Rq

POPSSo, how low will this President go?
These bows are not according to protocol, they are excessive and unbecoming to our nation's leader. When he engages in such inappropriate behavior, he embarasses himself and his nation. However, don’t take my word for it, listen to the analysis of diplomatic etiquette expert Lyudmila Bloch: “When President Obama recently greeted Japanese Emperor Akihito with a deep bow (at almost 90 degrees), and a handshake at the same time, those gestures were over the top and spoke loudly of diplomatic inexperience and poor briefing by his aides.” “Two individuals of equal rank greet each other in the same way. Did you see the Emperor bowing from his waist down and stretching to reach Obama’s hand? No. The keywords are appropriate and subtle. The bow must demonstrate a delicate balance between respect, proper protocol, and appreciation for the Japanese tradition concerning age and rank.” “Submissive, excessive, emotional, or dramatic gestures like President Obama’s may be interpreted as naïve,

POPSOakland's Peerless Coffee is still going strong More: Peerless' cupping room, in fact, might be the most charming around, with the same furniture that John Vukasinovich used decades ago lining its cramped quarters, along with a shiny new spittoon - essential for cupping. "We thought for hygienic purposes, we should retire the old one," jokes George Jr. Perhaps it will last into the next generation - there's already a fourth in the wings. Will Kristina's oldest son, 7-year-old John William, become the family's next great cupper? "I hope," George Jr. says with smile. "Bring him on."

POPSThe trouble with diversity: celebrating difference doesn't reduce inequality More: If you're worried about the growing economic inequality in American life, if you suspect that there may be something unjust as well as unpleasant in the spectacle of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, no cause is less worth supporting, no battles are less worth fighting, than the ones we fight for diversity… Our identity is the least important thing about us. And yet, it is the thing we have become most committed to talking about. From the standpoint of a left politics, this is a profound mistake since what it means is that the political left -- increasingly invested in the celebration of diversity and the redress of historical grievance -- has converted itself into the accomplice rather than the opponent of the right.

POPSIs oral sex a sin in a Christian marriage? Oral sex in a Christian marriage is often a source of conflict -- but it doesn't have to be. Between a husband and wife, sexual exploration is not only safe and loving, but sanctioned by God. The Bible, unfortunately, doesn't offer specific guidance on oral sex or explicit instruction on what sexual acts are ok within a marriage. We can, however, turn to other scriptural principles and see if they offer any guidance...and they do.
