enbar
by enbar  8-27-2008
A key excerpt from one of St. Irenaeus's key anti-gnostic writings in which he lays out the doctrine of "recapitulation," i.e., Jesus' reversal and healing of all the accumulated sins of human history.

Pope Led Cover-up of Child Abuse by Priests
blueridge
by blueridge  7-20-2008    10
This spotlight now after his recent "apology" for sexual abuse by priests that lacked any credibility. The Pope is a liar, like the devil, as history has consistently demonstrated. "By their fruits ye shall know them", Jesus warned of false prophets. Voila! Where is the repentance for his own role in these crimes of protecting the false church (the primary concern) through evasion and cover-up instead of prosecution and removal? Mass-mongering will never erase nor bring forgiveness for these heinous sins from either God or men! This Antichristian cult must be seen for what it is, a religious-political empire claiming "apostolic authority" of wealth and corruption, pomp, priest-craft, and unscriptural ceremonies that Jesus and the apostles never taught, but consistently warned about would come. This is NOT, nor ever was, a true Christian church or faith, but an impostor.

The Obama Family Attend Services In Chicago

With his head bowed, the younger Brazier said as worshipers joined hands, “We ask that you give him great wisdom, knowledge, power and understanding. We pray that you give him the mind of Christ, so that when he speaks, demons will tremble, mountains will be removed, and when the firing guards of the enemy are flung his way, that the prayers of the saved protect him and let the world know that no weapon formed against him shall prosper.”

Bush 'may convert to Catholicism'
righthand
by righthand  6-15-2008    6
Yesterday the Vatican was seething at rumours that there was much more to it than protocol: George Bush, lifelong Methodist, was about to convert. The Vatican differs from the White House on immigration and the death penalty but on other issues including stem cell research, gay marriage and abortion there has been, as the Catholic daily L'Avvenire put it, "total harmony." .. Independent He'll have to become a Christian first, won't he?

The New Deadly Sins
abailart

 4. Authenticity. Please do your best to be someone better than who you truly are. Deep down inside we're ravening beasts. This is the meaning of original sin. Everyone's authentic self is horrid. God's message to man has always been, "You can't really be good, but you can fake it. Really." 5. Caring. This takes so much time and effort that it necessarily results in the opposite of doing something. And notice that when someone says, "I care about the war in Iraq," he almost always means, "I want to lose it." Also there's a bullying logic among those who care. I care more about diddledydum than you do. Therefore I'm a better person than you are. Because I'm a better person than you are, I have the right to order you around. And vote for Hillary on November 4th. 6. Opinion. It's the reverse of fact. Listen to NPR or AM Talk Radio if you don't believe me, or, better yet, read the opinion page of the New York Times. (I'm talking about you, Paul Krugman.) Some people have facts, the

When I clipped this story from Google News it was one of 42 others. David Letterman's return to the air in the midst of the writer's strike contained 742 news stories. I worry deeply about this country. Judged on implications to the future of this country the story about healthcare wins hands down but the gossip mongers (I refuse to call them journalists) realize who pays their salary. Without grassroots support this situation won't change.

Priests come to blows in the Church of the Nativity
boliyou
by boliyou  12-27-2007    2
CNN reports that priests from rival Christian sects have broken out in violence over who gets to clean the Church of the Nativity. Yes, two days after the celebration of the birth of the Holy Infant so tender and mild, in the church that is built over the site of His holy birth, dedicated men of God were beating each other bloody over who gets to clean out the manger. The rivalry is so intense that Palestinian troops had to form a human shield to separate the three groups of priests who traditionally clean the church: Roman Catholic, Greek Orthodox and Armenian Apostolic. What the hell. Link photo by Darko Tepert Donatus

What do you think of this one, from your beloved Pope, Catholics? Please show me in scripture where Jesus talks about having to through the Pope rather than Gods himself? Also please do not recite Mathew 16: 13-20, the rock is not Peter but his confession, as being the rock and foundation of the church.
